Comfort Control Heating & Air Conditioning

After giving me the options, Comfort Control had a service manager out to my house within 90 minutes. They reviewed my furnace set up in detail, took pictures of my furnace system and then explained the replacement furnace/AC options. He made the decision very simple and was very easy to work with. We scheduled installation for 2 days later. Again the Comfort Control team was on time, courteous, neat and did a very professional job. The lead tech took time to explain how the system works , how to set the controls, and the differences in the new system versus the old system. I was definitely pleased with the great service and products provided.

The company called right away and was able to schedule the work within 2 weeks of my purchase. The technician called ahead and arrived on time. He was very professional and listened to my concerns with the furnace. Then he went in the crawlspace to check everything. When he returned, he let me know what adjustments he had made to get more airflow and a quieter furnace. He explained a bit about my furnace, what the quality of it was and how it worked. He also helped me understand the difference in filters and how they would impact my allergies vs airflow. I was most impressed that he did not try to upsell me on things that really did not need to be done. He did offer a service plan, which I will consider in the future. I will definitely use this company for services

Called to have them do the initial check and received same day service. Out there 2 business days later to do the install. Very happy with professional approach and would not hesitate to use again for my rental units. Hope to get a little discount on the trip charge ($89), but they appear to be coming from Buford.

The technician Ta Kim was very thorough and took the time to explain everything he was doing and provided information I would need for the future. He made note of components that would need to be watched and didn't try to sell anything. I will definitely call Comfort Central for future services and will request Mr. Kim to be the technician, if possible. The only thing I would recommend would be leave a magnet or business card with customer, so their company name/phone number can be on my refrigerator within easy reach not only for me but to recommend to others without having to locate the paperwork.

When switched to heat for the season, the furnace did not come on. Noticed this company had a special tune-up / filter for furnaces ($39). Called and they said that they would do tune-up and determine problem with heater. Technician (VU) came out immediately and found that the motor was stuck. He was able to get it working but warned that it needed replacement. Estimated part to cost around $500. Left with heater working and promised to get back with info on part. Received call that the part was indeed $500 and suggested that I participate in their preventive plan for $159 which gives me a visit in Spring and Fall to check A/C and Heat. The advantage of this is that I receive 10% discount on parts, and thus my current part would only be $450. In a few days the part arrived and the motor was replaced. From beginning to end the company and all employees were professional, timely, and did an excellent job. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area.

Great patience in tracing problem with wiring.

They did everything they promised. they arrived on time completed the job and cleaned up before they left. They were professional in every way. the job was completed on the day they said they would be here. There was no hidden costs.

On 12/13/2012 Comfort serviced units and advised that one needed replacement. I called my HOW and advised them; their service rep said all okay. Did not know who to believe. Placed review on Angie's List 12/16/2013 about conflicting opinions. Comfort read review and contacted me and advised that he would inspect again at no charge. I agreed, they came out with a internal camera and showed me the blowback problem and leakage that could cause carbon monoxide gas in my home. I was fortunate that I did not have a serious issue last winter. Comfort ask if he could turn furnace off until I decided what to do. They gave me a very good price and installed a/c and furnace. The installers were very organized and the process went very quick and clean. My furnace was 21 years old.

Tech was professional and polite, but some of his "findings" seemed a bit odd. He said our furnace had a cracked heat exchanger and was emitting Carbon Monoxide at an unsafe level. He recommended replacing the system and had a consultant come provide a quote. To get a second opinion (and potentially more replacement quotes), we had 2 other HVAC companies come to perform the same service, and asked them to check those specific items. Neither one found carbon monoxide or a problem with the heat exchanger. One of the "second-opinion" providers did adjust some items on the system that the Comfort Control tech did not address. Ultimately, the furnace is old but operational. I think the Comfort Control tech was more concerned with upselling his service call than doing what he could to fix or tune-up the system.

He was very professional, courteous and knowledgable. He recommended additional maintenance/services which I didn't do at the time but will when I can.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service. My A/C broke while they were checking it out and would not start again. That always has kind of a bad after taste after an A/C tuneup service. It might have been an accident of chance, I don't know. They gave me pricing for replacing parts, but I did not do it because I did not know if it was honest at that point or if they were just doing this to sell parts. There were two guys there; one was mostly on the phone. I guess he was a new guy trying to learn the business. One of them tried to explain things to me. They called in advance to warn me they were running late, that's always good. One of the men was fairly professional; I don't even know why the second guy was even there.

We have many rental problems and deal w servicemen all the time. In our experience someone could have charged us hundreds of dollars but there was only an addition $50 charge for all the above problems. Boo took the time to reprogram the thermostat and explain it to the tenant. If we ever have another heater/ac problem this will be the first company we use. This company was early, professional, explained things, and went far and above anyone we have dealt with in the past. Would highly, highly recommend this company Would also like to comment on the receptionist, Lisa. She was profession, friendly and took care of our emergency problem.

It went very well. They do a good job and they’re on time. We are happy with them. This is the second Big Deal we’ve purchased from them. The Big Deal is a good price for maintenance. They didn’t do anything wrong. They were very friendly and courteous.

The technician was polite knowledgable and honest. He let me know upfront that the unit did not need any urgent repairs. the reason it was taking so much time was because of the high temperatures in GA at the time and lack of insulation in our attic. He said the gas will need to be filled in a couple of months and the capacitor may need changing as well in the near future for motor. the two changes may help but if we wanted we can wait on those two items. I had the two things taken care of immediately by him. I will definitely be using them again for future issues.

Took advantage of Big Deal for AC service and extended it to include fall service. During initial service call technician identified a possible bad capacitor and recommended a replacement, but I declined since the unit was operating and I wanted to research the alleged issue myself. Capacitor was within 6% of rated value and while it was at the limit, it should not have needed replacement. He also stated that the higher quality 3M filters I was using were not good and replaced them with standard, low cost filters without higher dust removal properties. When they returned in the fall for the heating system service they once again claimed the capacitor was bad (it had the same reading as the previous time) and convinced my wife to replace it at a cost of $108. While I don't have any issues with the service they provided, I felt like they were looking for opportunities to add things to the bill to offset the big deal discount. I've changed to a different provider for future service.

Comfort Control handles the maintenance for our systems. They do a great job; we would recommend them to anyone.

In july one of our AC units stopped working.Comfort control came out and got it working again. they also told us we needed several additional items installed to help keep the unit running. We accepted that and had them do the additional work. All in all we paid $500.00 for that call out. Here we are a cpl months later and the AC unit isnt working again. We called them and their tech called us back, he said it would cost $89.00 for him to come out but it was raining and he didnt like to work in the rain. That said he came out anyway and told us we needed a new compressor and coil (thousands of dollars) so essentially we spent almost $600.00 with them only to be back to square one 2 months later. I understand things go wrong so my main concern is that it seems unreasonable we should have to pay another $89.00 call out fee (the tech was here 15 mins) after having recently paid $500.00 for work to be done.

Technician was on time and professional. Did the ac tune ups inside the attic and the outside units. Checked the freon levels and found that we were low. Paid $100 (on top of the money paid for the deal bought via Angie's List).

I should have read the offering more closely. I expected a full tune up and filter change. I received an modest inspection.

The service was pretty good. He cleaned the unit and advised on possible repairs and the replacement of the unit. When it's time to replace in the next few years, I will probably use them.

OK. The guy did what we asked for, then tried to sell us other services that we didn't want.

They offered to repair my old system but suggested, because of the age of my system. that I think about a new system. The salesman that came over evaluated my old system and gave me a price on a economical new system. I asked about more efficient systems and he showed some optionIs ff several hundred dollars and I chose one that qualified for a tax credit. I accepted the initial quote but he searched for ways to lower the cost and knocked off several hundred dollars. They were able to come the next day and installed the unit (Georgia heat is hard to take). The techs did a very good job on a very hot day. The Lennox system works great so far. I am very satisfied !!!!!

The technician was very prompt, very knowledgeable and very polite. It was a very old a/c unit in a rental home he cleaned it, checked the freon, motor and unit in general. He also checked and replaced the batteries in the thermostat. He gave me an honest assessment of the situation.
