I bought a house in Avondale and needed to move from my 4th story loft in Midtown after living there for 9 years. I had accumulated quite a bit of stuff and was concerned all my things making it safely to my new house. I found Mark the Mover on Angie's List and emailed them one night. The next morning I got a call from Justin at about 8:00 AM. He was fantastic. He quoted me for the move, scheduled me, answered all my questions about how my valuables would be handled, and told me I would get an email confirmation. Sure enough - I did. I also got a call the day before the move confirming. On the day of the move, 4 guys showed up - on time given traffic - and were ready to roll. They were terrific. The whole move took about 6.5 hours, 5 of which were loading the truck from my apartment. They wrapped all my furniture, took care with all my boxes, and were very professional in how they worked together. They also listened to me, which was a great stress reliever when you are worrying about certain pieces or boxes with fragile things. Wydell Sr. was the crew lead that day with the 3 other GREAT guys, Wydell Jr., Dafton, and Calvin. They were all terrific, happy, hardworking guys. At my house, they quickly unloaded the truck and were careful to place things where I wanted them. There was a small mishap with a case of wine that broke toward the end of the move, but Wydell Jr. was great in helping me salvage the imported wine that didn't break. I appreciated that he cared about the mistake rather than try to ignore it or blame the "packing". Before they left, Calvin and Dafton walked through with me to check everything. They were so great. When hooking up my washer and dryer, they noticed my dryer plug had the wrong prong set up. Dafton was so great - HE CAME OUT THE NEXT DAY AND REPLACE THE PLUG WITH THE RIGHT PRONGS and hooked up the dryer. How often does that happen? I was infinitely grateful and impressed with his service. All in all - I have never been happier with a move. They were the absolute best movers I have ever worked with and would recommend them to anyone! Worth every penny. They are true hardworking movers who have done this for years and take pride in their work. I really appreciated that.

Overall, everything went well. I found the company on kudzu.com and cross checked them here on Angieslist. My positive experience began when I spoke with Justin on the phone. He made sure to refer me to the state website for the body that regulates movers and the BBB. I was impressed with their record. They had executed over 4500 moves in the previous year with only 3 registered complaints. Justin also told me they probably weren't the cheapest, but he guaranteed I'd be happy. We weren't as prepared as we thought we would be due to us having just arrived back in town the night before from an unexpected trip. The guys showed up at 8 as scheduled. They got right to work and they worked quickly. First, the foreman, Coleman, surveyed the premises and got an overview of what was being moved. Then he directed the other workers as to where to start in moving the items to the truck. Most of the furniture items were well wrapped before loading. They displayed positive attitudes throughout the move, especially Coleman. He kept asking if we needed them to do anything else before they left. We ended up having them help with furniture placement in the master BR, and Coleman made it clear that they were working for us, wanted us to be happy, and were willing to do as much as we wanted them to. The only negative aspects of the entire move, other than the slow speed of the fully loaded truck on the highway, were 1) one of the guys scraped the ceiling in the stairwell and created a nasty looking mark while trying to carry a bookshelf up the stairs by himself and 2) one bookshelf didn't get fully disassembled before they moved it and as a result, it was damaged beyond repair. We didn't notice the bookshelf until after the movers left, but it was one of the mdf/particle board type and only about $60 new so we didn't bother with a claim.

They offered a dedicated move just for me. That was important. And they offered it at a reasonable and fair price. Everything that they promised came through. There where no surprises. They where honest with me. The workers handled my property with care and they where competent along with office staff. Answered all questions and were patient. They charge by weight and distance. A leather couch was punctured and they resolved the claim fairly. I did receive a check in a timely fashion.

They moved an HD TV with mirrors and a mattress for me. They secured everything, were very careful, arrived on time and were very professional.

Not much to say simple job done well.

The company was very responsive. I was able to handle all the arrangements for my move on-line. I paid a 1 hour down payment. They called a few days before to make sure I was ready. They called the night before to check again. That morning they called to tell me what exact time they would be there. They arrived on time with one extra man. Four men picked up my boxes and furniture from a two bedroom apartment and a storage room and delivered it to my new address in 2.5 hours. Very courteous and professional. Wrapped the furniture so it would not get damaged.

They arrived about 40 minutes late - having gotten lost on the way to the storage unit. They said that Mapquest had misdirected them. They brought a truck that was not quite large enough and we had to rent a Uhaul truck in addition to get all of our items out of storage (they told us their larger truck was being used on another job). However, they packed the truck quickly and efficiently with no wasted space and were very polite and professional throughout the day. We have found a few misplaced boxes in the house but for the most part they put everything in the correct room and asked if they were unsure. They were very conscientious of our wood flooring (which we had just gotten cleaned) and put boxes and blankets down to avoid scratching the floor. Overall, the job took about 7 and a half hours. We did feel though that they were a little pricey, but they had four men, whereas most other companies only had three.

Once I filled out my information online, they were quick to give me a call. But I took a few days (about a week) to return the call and when I did they didn't have any of record my information about my move nor the voicemail they left me. I was emailed a new furniture questionnaire to fill out but no one ever followed up with me after I submitted it. While the quality of their work is probably great, I found them to be unresponsive in my experience with them.

I was very pleased. I had to meet the men at the appliance outlet where they were prepared with proper equipment to pick up refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher. After the appliances they followed me to the building supply store to pick up large windows. The young men were polite and patient, as we had to wait at the store for a while for them to pull the windows from stock. They picked up and delivered everything with care. They came prepared with their own dolly and tools. When they got to the house the refrigerator would not fit in my door, they asked if they could remove a hinge to the door and waited until I agreed before they proceeded and moved the refrigerator in my house. They replace the hinge back on my door correctly. I was very pleased with their service.

Punctual, professional, timely, and hard working. Would highly recommend in the future.

I won't hesitate to call them again when needed.

They were early each day. They were very courteous. It was the most pleasant move I have been through. I would recommend them to anyone.

The moving team called like I was told they would. They showed up on time, asked a few questions and got right to work. They were very polite. My team worked non-stop for 5 hours. They did not ding my furniture or walls.

Mark the Mover called 30 minutes before their scheduled time to let us know they were on their way. They showed up on time, everyone introduced themselves, and they got right to work. All four men were very nice and seemed to enjoy the work they do. They did a great job handling the two sets of stairs in both houses and worked very quickly to get our job done. I selected this company due to the reviews on Angie's List, and I was very happy with their service.

I was looking to move a very heavy antique from Connecticut to Atlanta. Paul Regan from Mark the Mover returned my inquiry promptly and referred me to a firm that specializes in such moves. His reference saved me a lot of time and heartache!

It went perfectly. As the agent had promised, the driver called when he was on the way to my house. A team of four men arrived when promised, scoped out the work to be done, and set to work immediately. They loaded the truck with the belongings for the two destinations separated. They delivered the furniture to the house first, and did a nice job of maneuvering some large pieces of furniture through small doorways. They carried the washer and dryer down a narrow stairway into a basement and installed them for us. They also removed a refrigerator and the old washer and dryer from the basement and placed them in our garage. Next they delivered the remaining belongings to the storage unit and somehow managed to make it fit. The whole thing took about twice as long as I'd anticipated, but not because the movers were slow or inefficient. They charge by the hour, so it cost more than I'd expected, but I definitely feel like I got my money's worth.

They were on time, courteous, and very efficient. They pulled into my driveway promptly at 0900 and were completely finished by 1300. They were much more meticulous about protecting my possessions than the mover who moved me into the house. I found no damage to anything from the move. My things didn't even seem to get the slightest bit of dirt on them, either. I can think of only one negative thing about this move and it is so insignificant I won't go into detail. These guys did a fantastic job.

They were happy to do it - scheduled at a time that was convenient, confirmed the day before and showed up on time - to the minute! The movers were efficient and polite and very careful. All we could ask for.

The crew arrived right on time at 9 a.m. and I actually had a six-man crew. They wrapped and moved all of my furniture, including disassembling some pieces, moved boxes and other belonging from my house, attic, basement and garage. It took them a little more than an hour to load the truck. Then they brought everything to my new house, unloaded, reassembled furniture and moved thing to exactly where I wanted them. It was just about three hours, from start to finish. Nothing was broken or dirty, nothing lost. The crew of Coleman, Fausto, Cedric, Demarcus, Mike and Gray were wonderful. Polite, hardworking, careful, fast and accommodating. I have recommended them to everyone I know who needs movers. I'll never use another company, Mark the Mover is the best.

Mark The Mover Incorporated called me in advance to let me know he was on his way. They were very courteous, professional, and they were just great. The price, I felt, was good as well. I would recommend them and would tell other people that they were great.

I was so impressed with how well Mark the Mover treated me. They were an hour early and were very patient with me while I finished taping the boxes. They made me feel special and had no hidden charges. I tell everyone they should give Mark a call.

Superb service! They took care with all my belongings, and nothing was damaged in the move. They carefully wrapped everything, and worked very well. Despite being paid by the hour, the supervisor was constantly telling the crew to go faster. It was an extremely hot day, and the movers kept going, despite the heat. I don't want to move again anytime soon, but I hope Mark the Mover is still around when I do!
