We relocated from Smyrna to Roswell and they did a terrific job. They weren’t the least expensive option, but when I checked references (and I checked dozens of movers), these guys consistently got high marks (no pun intended) for professionalism in their moves, which is what we were looking for, and they “delivered”.

The members of the crew were polite, friendly, and professional. They were very careful both with the furniture and floors/walls in both houses and made sure that everything was done to our satisfaction.

Workers did a good job. Please read the contract carefully as we were charged $220 travel fee for going from their business to our house and from the storage unit back to their business. This suprised us.

From scheduling to payment to rescheduling to actual work, the Mark the Mover team was amazing! I was highly impressed from the initial phone call. Brian (I think that was his name) asked specific questions about the square footage of the house, the special pieces we needed to move, and the details of the locations. He didn't seem to be at all rattled by the fact that I didn't know (yet) whether we'd moving some stuff into a storage unit and some into an apartment/house. It was obvious this wasn't his first rodeo. The contract signing and down payment was all handled seamlessly via electronic means (e-sign, email, etc.). As the move date neared, we realized that we wouldn't need the packing help we had booked. I called back to cancel the packing. Again, I talked to a very helpful guy named Paul, who didn't seem phased by my request; within minutes, he had the packing date canceled, the packing deposit applied to the move, and a confirmation email sent that detailed it all. The day before moving day, I received a "are you ready?" call, and the next morning, Charley called at 9am and said, "here we come!" And they hit the ground running! Charley toured through the house with me while the team prepped the trucks and organized the equipment. We signed all the necessary paperwork, and they got to work. Fausto, Christopher, Orlando, Franklin, and Luis moved quickly, but carefully. They were all so professional and courteous! Their teamwork was unparalleled. Charley was instrumental in disassembling our treadmill and getting it through the door. Bing-bang-boom! The house was packed up in 3 hours. They drove all my junk 4 miles down the road to our rental house - where they spent 3 more hours unpacking it all. They covered the floors to protect from scratches; they were careful with walls and door jambs. Every team member worked hard and shared the load of the heavy/awkward pieces. This was an amazing experience from start to finish! When we move from our rental to our new house, we will most definitely call Mark the Mover again!!

Exceeded my expectations! These movers were all awesome. My move required 2 trucks and 5 guys! Every one of them worked their butts off and completed the move in about 6.5 hours and I had alot of stuff! The leader - Charley Anderson and his crew of 4 - Melvin, Fausto, Ed, and Zerarde were absolutely great! Because I've been burned before by movers, I was a little apprehensive when I chose Mark the Mover and wanted to be sure I was fully protected so I took out the additional insurance on my items...completely not necessary with these guys! They took great care in wrapping and padding ALL MY FURNITURE, disassembled and reassembled everything, and did not break, dent, ding or ping one item! It's now about 6 weeks after my move and all the boxes (fragiles) have been unpacked. Not one item was broken. I don't plan on moving again anytime soon, but for anyone considering them...hire them! Ask for Charley Anderson and his crew....I promise you won't be disappointed!

Because the bed frame was not disassembled or re-assembled correctly, it broke 4 days after the move, while we were sleeping on it. The wood pieces had been (unnecessarily) taken apart from the nail and not re-nailed or reinforced back in, so eventually the weight caused the nail to come out of the wood socket. Thankfully the mattress was strong enough that we were not injured. We were very busy with the move and unfortunately were delayed in informing the company for about a week and fixed one of the two bed frames ourselves so we had a place to sleep. We were told that this "violated the rights of the company to see the damage" (as you can imagine we were shocked at the response given we could have been seriously injured by their negligence and felt like our rights were violated). Even if it is their policy to see the damage, they should have a better way of speaking to clients who were almost injured due to their negligence. The owner was very responsive after we notified him, but not completely apologetic in his emails (should have been less accusatory legal-ese and more apologetic that his crew was untrained and could have injured us or a child if we had fallen). In addition, in his last email where he declined to compensate us for the $20 wood we had to buy for the bed frames (which, of note, his repairman also used), he included a statement that said something like, "glad we were able to do everything to your satisfaction." That's a big assumption and also incorrect. I should have realized by some of the responses to online reviews that they are more concerned with accusatory responses to valid complaints than apologizing for untrained staff. The wood was $20; the cost of the move was over $1000. Anyway, they sent a great repairman immediately, and saw both the beds and our repair to one of the frames, admitted that the crew had really messed up, and fixed the other frame. We were also told by another lady attendant by phone that the crew member who had worked on the bed (who looked like he was a teenager) was also new to the company. The fact they had someone so young and new doing a difficult task like wood working is very upsetting. In addition, this young man cut his hand while building the bed, and literally brought his bleeding hand cupped under another hand down the steps, and left blood in my sink. I helped him out with a first aid kit and asked if he needed to go to the ER, which he declined. Thankfully this was a minor cut, and given that they are working with wood, they should have at least had a first aid kit or training about these situations. We paid over $1000 for this move, and gave the 3 crew members $180 in tips, so we felt our right to have received trained movers were violated and we could have been injured because of their lack of training. They can do simple moves, but I would not trust them for assembling anything.

Mark the Movers sent a four man crew mainly due to the piano but they did a superb job with my move. Charlie Anderson and his crew were very professional and really hustled to get the move done efficiently. They also helped me to pack some remaining items in boxes that I hadn't had time to pack. Overall they made my move much less stressful!

Terrible, if there was a way to leave zero stars, I would. They came out on a Saturday, and worked as slowly as possible, I was carrying out chairs to the truck to speed things along. They left behind multiple items and did not check the house before leaving. Worst of all, one of the movers clogged a toilet and left a mess of toilet paper and **** and did not tell me about it or attempt to clean it up himself. I called the company the next day, Sunday to complain and left a message, and as of Thursday have not called back. Use them if you want them to be late, over priced, and leave behind item and a clogged toilet, if not, use someone else
Response from Mark the Mover Inc
"We are disappointed to find that Ms. [Member Name Removed] posted a negative review on our website. Her comments prompted our immediate investigation into the accusations that were made. Upon conducting a thorough review of the circumstances related to her move, our findings simply do not support the validity of her criticism. The first issue that Ms. [Member Name Removed] raises pertains to the timeliness and efficiency of her move. Our records confirm that the crew arrived on time and that they were not late as Ms. [Member Name Removed] has suggested. With regards to the efficiency of the move, our crew members reported that Ms. [Member Name Removed]'s constant interference during the course of the move caused unnecessary delays. Additionally Ms. [Member Name Removed] was quite disorganized and confused about where certain items should be placed. Despite these complications our crew finished the move ahead of schedule. When the move was booked Ms. [Member Name Removed] was given a four to six hour estimated time of completion. Our crew finished the job within the specified time having completed the work in 5.5 hours. Ms. [Member Name Removed] also alleged that one of our crew members clogged her toilet. Despite her use of an expletive to describe and sensationalize the accusation we found no evidence to confirm this claim. Our review of the matter indicates that none of our crew members clogged the toilet as was stated. It should be noted that there was another individual on site during the course of the move. A cleaning lady was at the residence while our crew members were performing their duties. We learned that the cleaning lady made disparaging remarks about our crewmen's character then insinuated that she should pick up her phone so that it wouldn't turn up missing. Still later she tried to get our crew to work off the clock and under the table for her own benefit. Our feeling is that such an individual should not be questioning anyone's character. Ms. [Member Name Removed] also indicated that we did not respond to her telephone call. Our Sales Manager confirmed that he did in fact return Ms. [Member Name Removed]'s call the next morning. We would respectfully suggest that Ms. [Member Name Removed] ascertain all the facts before making any accusations. Additionally we would suggest that she check with the cleaning lady in order to determine how the toilet may actually have become clogged."

Movers are unprofessional and the company double charges for travel time. They tell you that they take a deposit of 165 dollars to cover travel time before the move. They don't tell you that the travel time they are talking about is going to and from their facility not travel between your old and new home
Response from Mark the Mover Inc
"It's regrettable that we have to respond to this complaint as we have thoroughly and completely addressed all of Mr. [Member Name Removed]'s concerns with him. Still Mr. [Member Name Removed] continues to go to every internet site and post disparaging comments about our company. Even though Mr. [Member Name Removed]'s assertions are unfounded and without merit we welcome the opportunity to once again clarify the circumstances pertaining to his move. First, Mr. [Member Name Removed] became unhappy with his move because he was unable to understand the concept of the travel time charge. A travel time charge is a legally allowed fee that is authorized by the governmental regulatory authority. Its purpose is to offset a mover's high operational costs such as fuel, labor, insurance, and other lofty expenses. This charge helps movers keep their hourly billing rates down and prevents run away cost which may otherwise be passed on to the consumer. Mr. [Member Name Removed] claims that he was "double charged" for a travel time fee. This is simply not true as we have repeatedly explained in great detail each and every charge that pertained to the services that were provided. Secondly, Mr. [Member Name Removed] asserts that we did not make clear what the travel time fee pertains to. This is an incorrect statement as this charge was fully explained prior to booking the move. Additionally Mr. [Member Name Removed] confuses his deposit payment with the travel time fee. A deposit is taken in order to insure a spot for the customer's move. The $165.00 deposit was credited as a payment made by Mr. [Member Name Removed] and it does not "cover" or relate to a billable fee. Finally Mr. [Member Name Removed] has stated that his television was damaged. This claim is questionable. Upon completion of the job and during the final walk through the customer acknowledged that there were no damages. Later Mr. [Member Name Removed] stated that there was a small circular indentation on the corner of the television. Still later when he filed a damage claim he sent a picture of a television that showed extensive damage. We feel that the relevant point here is not that his damage claim lacks merit or is possibly fraudulent but that we promptly issued him a settlement check which provided the full dollar amount that he agreed to in accord with the terms of the damage contract that he signed. In summary we welcome the opportunity to address and resolve any legitimate grievance. However on rare occasion when a customer feigns being wronged then demands free service, we become very suspicious. It should be noted that we vigorously defend the integrity of our company name. A valid grievance is entirely acceptable however if this customer continues to slander our brand and make false claims then we will likely seek a legal remedy."

I did a fair bit of research on moving companies and interviewed three companies and got estimates. One company gave us a fixed estimate which was higher than all the others. Mark the mover gives you an hourly rate. I was concerned given the risk for inflated the amount paid by slow work. The website was easy to use and put down my deposit. The move was a pack on day one and then 2 days to move a three story house. They arrived with three trucks on the first day and 2 on the second. they came with 6 guys each day. We did some pre work which help control the costs.

With that said, i would not hesitate to recommend mark the mover. They did an excellent job. The lead on my move was Coleman. His team was professional, pleasant and worked really hard. The seemed to run every time I was looking when they were not carrying something. The were extra careful with my stuff and so far have found nothing to be damaged or broken.

They met and even exceeded our expectations. If we ever move again, I would no doubt use Mark the Mover again.

The price was extremely reasonable. They were the best moving company we've ever used. Unlike other moving companies, they actually had enough men to do the job. We move quite frequently and there are never enough guys. They had 6. They didn't break anything.
