THE DUCT MAN OF ATLANTA

I was hesitant to book at first because the only day of availability coincided with our little one's first day of school at a new school, but when I told this to the gentleman that made my appointment he said that would be fine because they would still arrive on time, set up and give me time to get back to the house. As he said, they were there when we pulled up, ready to get started. It was a rainy morning but they didnt make any messes or track anything in and out. I was about 8 months pregnant and needed to nap, I was able to do so because even though there were five vents alone in my master/master bath, they worked quietly around me. My husband was there and also able to get work done while they worked. We have two units, both were cleaned. Every register cover was removed and cleaned - let me tell you - you'd be surprised at what accumulates on those registers! The intake registers in our 7 year old home were dusty and gross. Everything was sparkling white by the time they were done. MOST importantly, our dryer had not worked properly in nearly a year and I was becoming concerned about fire hazard. Even though our outlet fed out in a part of the attic difficult to get to, one of the guys completely cleared that thing out! I was so surprised at home much lint and moisture was blocking the line. We were up to 2.5 hrs to dry a load of towels!! Now were down to less than 30 mins! TOTALLY worth it. Saves energy, greatly reduces hazard. They finished earlier than they thought, they were able to work quickly as we did not have the spaces near our registers (we have ceiling ones) cluttered with anything. They even asked if I would only like a light sanitizing of the duct systems because I am pregnant and sensitive to smell. I found that to be very thoughtful :-) I've already recommended the company and service to 3 friends and I am on the HOA board in my community, so I would also recommend this company to any neighbors seeking this service. Overall = excellent!

He was a very nice man. They did a very thorough job cleaning and got a lot of dirt out of the ducts. They were considerate and fantastic overall. It was 2 man crew and they worked about 4 hours.

I cannot give enough praise to The Duct Man. Pricing was upfront with no hidden or additional charges. They were prompt upon arrival and thorough with the work. Both people were extremely professional, upfront, and honest. I would highly recommend this company and will definitely use them again in the future. Thank you for a great experience.

Only concern I noticed as they were working was no booties or shoe covers used. Would have been a nice since their shoes look as bad as my yard boots. They did vacuum and left no mess plus they used the window for their system since they were concerned our cat might walk out a open front door. Would definitely use again and would request (remember) to use booties.

We've been living in this old ranch house for 25 years and I can't tell you how much we were looking forward to getting the ducts clean (you could see the build up in the vents). The price was right, they came the next week and arrived on time. RJ explained exactly what was happening. They even move the furniture away from the vents for you. A big tube sucks all the dust up as the little tube snakes around and sucks out the dust; no mess was made. It was a very satisfying experience to see how much they relished getting all that crud out. Afterward the vents were so squeaky clean I saw shiny metal and actually saw the wood of the floors! The vent covers were washed and looked new. The furnace itself and its blower was cleaned out too which required some disassembling of vents for access; RJ and Patrick worked hard and did a great job. I'm so happy! It's a great feeling.

What was nice about it is that I know he was coming a long way and I have actually called him and said here is who I am and I just want my duct cleaned because I had all my other venting replaced. But I said it is a long return, it is up in the attic, it is hard to get to. They treated it like it was a thousand dollar job, and that is the cool thing about reading about 18 to 20 reviews. These guys are proud of their reviews I can tell you that. He was on time, he was actually early. The service was reasonably priced and it is nice to have somebody do what they say they are going to do. I recommended them to four or five people for full house duct work.

Work went well. Gentlemen were on time and did a great job. They performed task in a timely manner considering that I know the ducts had not been cleaned in at least 20 years and that the system was probably full of pet and people allergens.

Overall, I felt like it was a bit of a 'bait and switch" game. I purchased a new home and called to discuss the service, to be fair i was quoted 10 ducts free, and then additional ducts would be 10 each. I have never counted the actual ducts but when i had the service done, it was 100 more than what i was 'estimated' for an average quantity of a house. I understand the pricing structure, but i would expect good customer service to give me notice of the estimate. Great customer service would call me and explain. cheaper options exist for sure.

I was diagnosed with allergic sinusitis which lead us to a thorough examination of allergens in our home. We contacted the Ductman and were given a honest phone quotation about the work that needed to be done. The Ductman arrived on time and was professionally outfitted. Being aware of the nature of the call, the Ductman addressed our concerns about allergens and mold. He gave advice, suggested solutions, but never up-sold. The job was thorough, professional and not rushed. There was no urgency to get the job done and move on. As a female, it is always difficult to find contractors. I found the Ductman to be fair, honest and professional. Excellent.

Allan arrived right on time, looked over the house, explained everything, and got busy! Despite the fact that he was on his own that day, he always stopped to answer all my questions and was endlessly patient with my fascination with the process which included often watching how it was all being done. It was clear that there wasn't an inch of duct left dirty as I saw firsthand the process for debris removal from every vent and return on down and the furnace on up. He hand cleaned all the vent and return covers and when he was finished, replaced them all (spending extra time on a couple of problem covers) and cleaned up. There's something very satisfying about seeing all the junk from your ducts go flying through that hose and out your door! Bonus that there's an honest, friendly professional to do the job. It was worth every penny!

They arrived on-time and performed very well except for accidently putting a foot-sized hole in my ceiling. Allan was very cooperative and did all he could to get everything back in order. This included ceiling repair, painting of a very large ceiling and repair of an HVAC pipe. It looks great now. Will use again in the future.

I highly recommend their services. They are more thorough than services that do not specialize in duct cleaning, and left my 30+ year old set of ducts sparkling clean. They ended up removing enough dust (and some mold on my HVAC coils) to fill a 5 gallon trash bag.

I highly recommend Duct Man of Atlanta. His attention to detail, promptness, courtesy call before arriving, his advice on getting the most out of his work, and the way he and his helper worked together were impressive. He brought his equipment which had such power that there was a cloud of construction dust visible outside the house. This chap put a probing brush-like device down each duct that jostled the dust loose, while his vacuum pulled out debris that was blocking air flow. Absolutely worth what we paid!

RJ and Alex came out to perform the work, we have a fairly new house with brand new carpets throughout they took extreme care the entire time to not make any mess. We just bought this home and wanted the ducts and dryer vent cleaned as they all looked horrible. They explained everything they were doing for us and even brought in a vacuum cleaner and cleaned up any mess that blew onto the carpets from the vents (our vents were horrible) They left our house spotless after doing a thorough service on two systems one upstairs and another downstairs in our basement as well as a dryer vent cleaning which had a birds nest built into it from outside. They worked hard to ensure it was all safe and clean when they got done. They spent about 4.5 to 5 hrs working on our house and and a really nice smelling sanitizer to our duct system both up and down when they got done cleaning it, my wife has allergies so this was an important service for us. I would recommend this company to everyone, very professional we couldn't have wished for a finer company to come out and do this work. The prices are excellent and their work is impeccable. When we need the cleaning again in future years we will be calling them. RJ really loves is job he is really into what he does, both were really great guys.

It went well: they found a great deal of animal hair in both the ducts and the compressor, which may explain why our heating and cooling bills are so high. Hopefully they will be lower now that they have cleaned them out.

I don't remember the date or price specifically, but I remember they honored my Angie's List coupon even though I did not have it with me. They also allowed me to be billed for the service instead of paying on the spot - and when I had forgotten the bill due to moving into the house they cleaned and all the stresses involved, they called and remained extremely polite and professional. I mailed payment the next day. The service they performed was both quick and thorough. Nobody can say they do any less than exactly what they offer.

We purchased our home last in March 2011 and had noticed a lot of dust accumulation on our furnishings under the duct vents throughout the house. We scheduled an appointment for Monday of the following week. Dennis and RJ had an earlier scheduled appointment that cancelled that morning so they contacted us to see if they could come earlier than their 1:30 appointment, which we gladly permitted. They did a completely thorough job, explaining to my wife exactly what they were doing. They completed the job in approximately three hours and left our home in perfectly clean condition. They were friendly, courteous, and completely professional. They graciously cleaned our dryer vent in addition to our HVAC ducts at no extra charge, and they honored their "Angie's List Discount" as well. We highly recommend them.

I have gas forced air heat and have always suffered from severe allergies whenever the weather gets cold enough to turn on the heat. Last year I survived by using small ceramic heaters in each room. This year I wanted the ducts cleaned to get rid of the allergens. They arrived on time, explained what they were doing, and advised me every step of the way. They even told me the ducts looked clean and I might not need their service. I appreciated their honest observation but said I wanted to go ahead anyway, as sometimes you can't see mold spores. They agreed and asked if I wanted to use their sanitizing spray to kill what could not be vacuumed out. I said yes and the scent was nice and didn't bother me at all.

Very honest professionals... we have 2 HVAC systems that I had them come out to clean. After inspecting the 2 systems, they told me that the upstairs unit / vent was in excellent condition and they would not recommend spending the money to clean them. That saved me $160. I really appreciated their honesty. They did a great job on the main floor unit and we are very happy with their service.

After we had some remodeling done, we needed our ductwork cleaned. We called them after reading the reviews on Angie's List. RJ and Alek came out to do the work. I got a general cost estimate when I called for the appointment. They looked at the HVAC units and went around the house counting the vents and provided a cost. They proceeded to do the cleaning and then cleaned the dryer vent. It was all very painless. They were professional and friendly. RJ REALLY LIKES his job. We will use them again.

My goodness, the guys from the Duct Man are into their job. (And I mean that in a good way.) The two man crew came right on time and they were very excited about getting all of the yuck out of my vents and duct work. They got to work and you would have thought that they were finding gold nuggets up there! They asked me if I wanted to go in the attic with them or up the ladder to the vents and I passed but I did look at the big filter thingy when they were done and it was full of nastiness. They even hand washed my vents and they were careful to clean up after themselves. I have just moved into this house and I am glad that I am starting with nice clean air ducts. I cannot imagine that you could find anyone more dedicated or thorough than the Duct Man!

The two-man team arrived exactly on time, were very professional and friendly, and did a great job. They left absolutely no mess, explained what they were doing and finished in a timely manner. They even fixed a floor vent that had come loose at no extra charge. They itemized the charges so I could see exactly what I was paying for, and applied the $50 coupon I printed from their site, even before I showed it to them (they had seen it lying on a kitchen counter). The charge was $360 (1 unit +10 vents) + $95 (additional unit) + $160 (16 additional vents) - $50 (coupon) = $565. Overall a great experience.

VERY PLEASED & ANIMAL FRIENDLY! The guys from Duct Man of Atlanta arrived on-time, explained what they were going to do, and started the process. We have 2 cats that I locked in the master bathroom so they wouldn't be a bother while the guys were working. Allen and his associate were very considerate of the animals and saved that room for last. They took all of the vent covers off, cleaned them thoroughly, and pointed out ones that needed to be replaced. My husband and I were surprised at the chunks of dirt and debris that was being sucked out of the vents. They used compressed air to blow the debris down the vents, into their flexible dirt removal tube, and out to their truck. They also used a roto-rooter type gadget (that looked like an octopus) that inserted into the vent and it would spin to remove any additional debris. They also used a sanitizing spray to make sure that everything was clean. The aroma was a bit strong, but not unpleasant and dissipated after a day. Also, our cats were not bothered by the fumes from the spray. The thing I appreciated the most is that I had carpet cleaning people in that morning as well and they were happy to work in conjunction with each other. Funny thing is, the duct guys were so clean in their process, that I didn't worry about my newly cleaned carpet getting re-soiled by them. I would happily recommend Allen and his crew to anyone needing their ducts cleaned.

Called to confirm on the way. Showed up on time, assessed dryer vent set-up, hauled in equipment and cleared vent. No damage or mess left behind for clean-up/repair.
