Description of Work: Used them for 4 years when they were Milton Heating and Air. When they became Milton Mechanical, they did not return calls, did not respond to emergencies, we're not available during business hours especially in the morning.

Description of Work: I had an old upstairs ac and heating units replaced by a Trane unit, ductwork repaired and rerouted, new filter and plemun installed. Milton was probably not the lowest cost provider - but the work was high quality and I found them to be honest and straight-forward to do business with. Unlike the ac company provided by home warrenty.

Description of Work: I'm really not sure how to rate Milton Heating and Air. The service tech arrived on time and figured out that I needed a new controller unit in my heater, but he didn't have one on his truck. The controller is a common part that goes bad so I thought this was a bit unusual. Consequently, he had to return the following day to actually finish the work, which was somewhat inconvenient for me. And, during the first visit I talked to the tech about other HVAC work (new work) I needed and was told that he (the tech) didn't do any of that kind of work, but he would have Dustin call me. Dustin didn't call, so much later the next day, when the tech returned with a new controller unit, I again asked about Dustin and the tech said he'd remind Dustin again. Several days later and still no call from Dustin to discuss the other work I needed, I called the office and was told Dustin would get the message. Now, months later, never having heard from Dustin or anyone else from Milton and Heating, I've since had the additional HVAC work I needed completed by a different company. So while the work I initially called them for was completely satisfactorily, although taking two days to do a simple part replacement, no follow-up ever occurred regarding the other work I needed. My opinion is that they were just not interested or their customer service is actually very poor. Also, I've since learned that their price for the work completed was higher than most.

Being a home owner and not a HVAC person, I'm not an expert, but the folks at Milton HVAC went the extra mile to build my confidence and win my business. They also gave me 2 years worth of preventitive maintenance, which they have been proactive in calling me to schedule, rather than I having to hunt them down and hold them accountable. Very nice that they stand behind their work.I need another HVAC and will be calling Milton HVAC to replace my 2nd of 3 overall systems in the house in the coming weeks.

+ -1 moreDid an excellent job cleaning the compressors which were clogged with red clay. Recommended freon, which I did not do. Charged only $59 for servicing both units, and $200 for cleaning both compressors. The $59 charge is unbeatable for two units. The $200 cleaning charge was a little high, but when combined with the $59 charge it came out cheaper than anywhere else that I talked to. Family run business and gave me helpful info on managing my home warranty.

+ -1 moreMy wife discovered that something was leaking signficantly in our basement while I was out of town. She called the emergency number for our heating and air service, and no one answered, so she googled and picked Milton Heating and Air and called them. A gentleman came out immediately in the middle of the night, identified the problem as the hot water heater, and shut off the hot water, stopping the leak. He told my wife the middle of the night visit was no charge, and that someone would be out first thing in the morning to repair. I assumed no charge meant rolled into the charge the next day, but that wasn't the case. When the service person arrived the next morning, he identified the problem as a reservoir that needed replacing, which was less than $300 to fix, and ran to Home Depot to get the part and quickly repaired. An EXCELLENT experience and we will definitely be using these folks in the future.

+ -1 moreThis company went over and above to make us happy. They were here at 8:30 am in the middle of July (100 degree heat), and worked until 5:30 that afternoon until the job was completed. Marty is the owner, and he takes great pride in making sure that he is making his customers happy. I am an interior designer, so I really do my homework when it comes to hiring companies. We had gotten 8 different bids, before deciding on Milton Heating and Air. This company provided superior equipment at a fabulous price. They stand behind their promises, and their work is pure quality. Do not hesitate to do business with this firm. It is a family run business with a heart and it shows in every aspect of their work ethic.
Description of Work: We had a 20 year old A/C unit and furnace that had to be replaced. They did an amazing job, and put in the best equipment, at a wonderful price.
