Sales reps were very pushy about wanting to install a pump system. My land has a natural fall out my back. Also they would not give me a written estimate unless I agreed to use them for the service. I had to borrow money from my 401K to pay for the repair work.
Description of Work: Chose not to use them due to very high pricing, Approximate cost of service $10000.00.

The service was great. We decided to finish off some rooms in our basement, converting a storage room into usable space. We really didn't consider a previously repaired crack in the foundation to be an issue. But after the room was refinished we noticed a water problem behind some of the sheet rock, our contractor was not qualified to repair the foundation and didn't want to get involved. Ever Dry assessed the problem, even dug away the dirt from the outside of the house and repaired the crack from both the outside as well as the inside. It was a tremendous piece of mind knowing the wall is properly repaired and won't leak.
Description of Work: My basement had a vertical crack in the foundation running up one wall. When it would rain, water would seep through the crack and into the basement. Ever Dry repaired the crack from both sides of the foundation - not just from the inside. The crack was sealed and has not leaked in over 6 months! Just awesome!!

The work was completed in a timely manner with the breath easy being installed first. The multi-step system was installed as a preventive measure. The work was completed on time in approximately 3 days. For the exterior system a trench was dug around our home around the foundation wall. The foundation was sealed and water proofed with an exterior drainage system installed. The inside system involved placing a subfloor drainage system. The system is working fine. I decided to write this review because of all the rain we have received in the Atlanta area this spring and summer. We have been under several flood watches and warning in our area and the Everdry system has provided our family with peace of mind.
Description of Work: Everydry installed an E-Z breath Air purifying system and a multi-step outside and inside water proof system for our unfinished basement.

When the salesman arrived he immediately started into a fast paced speech. He did more talking than looking at the areas we kept trying to show him. My husband is a commercial contractor and has built millions of square feet of warehouses in the Atlanta area. My husband quietly took it all in and he questioned the wrong information given by the salesman who barely let him speak. It all seemed very scripted. Finally, My husband had enough and nicely asked the salesman to send us a quote and he'd look it over and decide what we would do. The salesman said he can't send a quote, that's not how Ever-dry does it. He said we both had to go upstairs and he would explain the 3 ways he could fix our problem. My husband bowed out and i said I'd listen. The Ever-dry guy didn't like that and was very flustered but said he'd do it anyway. He showed me a brochure of the three things they do. i asked which was the most expensive and he said he couldn't tell me that! I had to pick which one we would have them doing and then he could discuss only that price. I told him the price would probably determine which choice we would pick. Then he said he would have to go out to his car (it was 8:00 PM) and call the office to see if he was allowed to give us a quote on more than one solution. He came back and said his boss told him to leave. He said he told the boss we were too nice to do that to us so he was going to break the rules for us. Needless to say, we would not have used them at any price.
Description of Work: The provider didn't do any work for us. We called them to look at 3 places in our basement where water was coming into the concrete block. Both my husband and myself were required to be there or Ever-Dry said they wouldn't come out. . They asked lots of unrelated questions when I called for the appointment and I said more than once, "why do you need to know that?"

I chose not to go with them because they were proposing a much bigger total solution and price than I was interested in pursuing. They were the flashiest marketing ad in a home improvements show and their proposal and price seem to be in line with that. They spend a lot of money in their marketing approach. They've called me up at least 6 separate times and said the owner is reviewing things and he said he wants to come back to make me another offer. I believe the solution they were quoting was a lot more worse than I needed to have done. They've come across well but I wasn't interested in doing business with them after that proposal. They were selling the solution and not responding to my needs.

The first time they came out the job was not done well. The owner came out after the work and looked at it and said we have more work to do and he sent a crew back out to take care of the work. The first crew was not great but the second crew did what was needed. The owner that came out was a nice gentleman and willing to do anything to make the customer happy.
Description of Work: They dehumidified my crawlspace and they fabricated exits for any water. They dug around the foundation walls of the foundation in two sections. They put a pump in as well.

Since they insisted that we both need to be present, we could not schedule them to come to the house and receive an estimate. The only companies who need to do this are the ones who depend on high pressure sales practice. Not very professional.
Description of Work: We couldn't get past the first phone call since they insisted that both me and my wife be present at the home so they can deliver their high pressure sales speech. I work long hours and can't take time of for some sales speech. All I needed is an estimate and if they fared well in comparison with other companies, they would have gotten the job.

We never got past the phone call. They required that both of us be present for the inspection, which sounds too much like a high pressure presentation. As we were declining the appointment, she hung up on us!
Description of Work: We called this provider to set up an appointment to look at water problems in our basement. The phone call was extremely unprofessional and it appeared that all they wanted to do was a "high pressure" sale. The appointment/sales person asked several questions which had nothing to do with scheduling an appointment. When I would not answer questions such as "what kind of work do you do" or "what are your travel plans?" or "when are you going to be out of town" the person became noticeably frustrated. I kept asking when they could schedule a time to come out to look at the basement, and she said they required that both my wife and I be present for the "evaluation". Finally I suggested a specific date, and she agreed to it, but at that point we had decided we did not want to go through a high pressure sales presentation. As I was telling her that we did not want an appointment after all, she hung up on us! Needless to say we would not recommend this company and will not be using their services.

Response from EverDry Waterproofing
Since 1977 Everdry waterproofing has been truly committed to delivering its customers the most thorough and detailed foundation inspection in its industry. Over the past 36 years Everdry has found that if all owners of the property are actually on the property during our inspection process, then Everdry is able to stay true to such a commitment.

I called and interviewed several waterproofing companies and found this company to have the best pricing for the extensive work that had to be done. Everyone in the company is a professional from the front office, customer service and sales to the installers. I had a little water come in my basement almost every year but was greatly effected by the flooding in 2009, which left me with a mess in my entire basement, including mold, mildew and bugs. They did a wonderful job and I have not had a drop of water in my basement after they completed the job, which has been over 3 years. I would recommend them to anyone who needs waterproofing.
Description of Work: French Drains were installed around outside of house and inside around entire garage. They had to reinforce foundation cracks, put silicone on exterior foundation, installed a sub pump and their E-Z Breathe system.

In net, "the proof will be in the long term results." There has not been enough time (15 days since installation of the outside drainage system); nor have we had any heavy rain... So far, Ever-Dry performed exactly as planned. The work completed appears to be exactly as advertised, and I will update my observations after a few months. - - At this time we would make the same choice again... Remember, the end result is no more damp basement - so far everything has been done on schedule and as planned. For us this was an investment to improve our home. There was no sales pressure as someone mentioned. - We simply wanted a complete, professional job, that produced a dry basement - we were not looking for a cheap easy solution. To date, Ever-Dry has performed, and we recommend their services...
Description of Work: Not the least expensive, but this is a nationwide company operation with a transferable warranty. We have lived here for a long time and as 'empty-nesters' we rarely used our basement. Over time we had begun to notice a watermark on the coccrete block walls and a musty smell. 1. We noticed the musty smell from time to time - they installed the "Easy Breeze" system in February,2013, and within a week there was no more. 2. They scheduled to our convience (we had travel planned), and arrived on April 8th to complete the job with the outside drainage changes. Overall opinion = On-time, and efficient!

Extremely high pressure sales tactics. If the system was good, it would sell itself - there should not be the need for the high pressure. (you should know that there is a law in Georgia that allows you to cancel a contract you sign in your home within 72 business hours - I very much regret that I did not use this law.) In order to get me to sign the contract, they promised to dig down the area at the front basement wall and waterproof that area from the outside (more than just the outside drain part of the multistep system). However, when the work was being done, they said it was not needed, and did not do it. My mistake was not insisting that they do what was in the contract at that point. They failed to notice/understand that the water line coming into the house was leaking. They knew the area was damp, but they just loaded it up with hydraulic cement. Naturally, the wall never dried out. The main reason for having the basement waterproofed was to dry the wall out in that area, and the wall never dried out. Shortly after the work was completed, the trenches they dug around the inside perimeter of the basement started leaking water (where the new concrete joins the old concrete). To their credit, they came out and sealed the trenches. I was so dissatisfied, I had the basement waterproofed again using another company. This time it was done correctly - from the outside using a membrane and wall drains. And this time the waterproofer pointed out the leaking water line (which I had fixed by a plumber). My basement walls are dry at last, but the cost was way more than it should have been.
Description of Work: Basement waterproofing using multi-step system (trench the inside perimeter of the basement - install drains, install sump pump. trench a foot or so down around the outside perimeter of the house - install drains and poly sheets). Approximate cost of service $12000.00.

Everdry's number one goal is customer satisfaction. Everdry offers a lifetime transferable warranty on the work it performs. If any of our customers are experiencing additional seepage or dampness problems we encourage them to contact our service department first. If the problem is not resolved to the customers satisfaction, the customer has the ability to contact the owner John Fahmy directly.

The work was completed very quickly with little upheaval to the household. When there was an unexpected need to install an electrical outlet, they got the right contractor to my house in record time to avoid a project delay. They also cleaned up nicely afterwards and went the extra mile to take pictures for me.
Description of Work: Everdry waterproofed my crawlspace with their patented Multi-Step system. They installed a drainage system around the exterior of my house to help keep water from reaching the crawlspace. Then they installed one inside my crawlspace as well along the exterior wall. In addition, there is a pump in case water does get inside and an E-Z Breathe ventilation unit.

It went great. I filed a request through internet and a guy showed up and made a presentation. We bought into it because I needed the basement done. A week later they showed up and did the work.
Description of Work: A portion of the basement foundation was dug around the area where water was coming into the basement. About two feet by two feet or so pit dug and filled with suitable material and a drain tile laid to collect the water to a pit dug on the farthest part of the basement area. A sump pump was installed with lifetime guaranteed battery for continuous operation. Also, a dehumidifier was installed to control air circulation for the entire house especially the basement area and mold. Other areas with with cracks were sealed. The walls which had cracks were sealed also. Outside of the building which was suspected to allow seepage into the house, a trench was dug and buried into it was the drain tile on a suitable material to allow the water to drain away from the wall. The system has been working properly. I am satisfied and when I need a maintenance or annual inspection of the system, they are very reliable and prompt to their contract. Excellent Service.

The service turned out great. The cost was a little more than other estimates but the proposal that they gave me included more service and it has worked out well. They were reliable. We had one problem with a backup battery and they came very quickly to fix the issue.
Description of Work: They did the installation in May of 2011. They did an annual inspection of the system most recently. They put in the drainage lines and it has a backup sump pump. They installed a large easy breeze device that has taken care of mold that was in my basement as well.

The EverDry representative that came out was also a structural engineer. He basically told me that my foundations were in desperate need of repair and made it sound like my house was going to fall down. He quoted me $33,000 to do the repairs. I subsequently hired an independant structural engineer to do a full inspection and he told me that the foundation of the main house were fine (Chris Grubb of Grubb Engineering - highly recommeneded).

Original work was done Sept. 2006. The workers & managers argued among themselves about how to best do the job. The "engineer" usually discounted anything the salesman said. To fix erosion problems after they left required many phone calls. Fast-forward to Aug 2008. The wall leaked again. Our paperwork said work was guaranteed 1 year only. An estimator from the company promised to assess our situation, but was a "NO-show." Called back and he finally did come and said he would call with an estimate the next day... saying he thought the solution would be to dig and reseal the outside wall. He has never called back. I called their office to complain... still no call.
Description of Work: The company (1) dug around the outside wall and said they sealed leaks and installed plastic to guide water away from the foundation. The salesman said it would all be dug by hand, but the young(20's) workers used a payloader. (2) they sealed cracks in the foundation wall (3) they installed a French drain inside along the basement walls... and connected it to a sump pump (4) they installed a circulating fan. Two years later, the wall leaks again ($8,500.00 wasted)!!

Overall the experience was not good for several reasons: Their work truck leaked oil, leaving 6 or 7 permanent black spots on my driveway. Two black oily hand prints were left on my white vinyl siding. A 5 gallon bucket half full of their black tar was left in my yard. Without my knowledge they cut through a new $350 vinyl floor in my laundry room to dig the inside trench in that room. It cannot be repaired, it must be replaced. While digging the inside trench, they discovered what turned out to be a small leak around the sump pump canister which interrupted their work for 5 days. I had to pay a plumber over $1,000 to fix this problem before they could come back and finish their work. Later, John Fahmey, contacted me and we had a long conversation about everything that I detailed in my report. He was very respectful and repeatedly insisted that he wanted to improve the outcome of my experience. In the end, he gave me a rebate of $350 to replace the vinyl floor.
Description of Work: Crew of 5 or 6 men dug a trench around 3 sides of my house and installed pipes to shunt water away from foundation. A second trench was dug around 3 sides of my house inside the basement with drainage pipes. They also installed a super dehumidifier that blows moisture outside the house. Work is guaranteed for life. To compensate me for some of the problems listed below, the company provided me with an extra foundation repair without charge that would have cost me an additional $500 if I had ordered it.
