James P Ferrigno- The Woodsmith

A family vanity heirloom found its way to me in Florida. I could not bear for this piece to go to Good Will like a lost puppy. I searched for a Woodsmith who would appreciate and care for it as much as I do. It required a master craftsman knowledgeable of the technique to repair damaged / chipped veneer with no visible lines or patch signs. Thanks to James, the vanity restoration is exquisite! This piece looks better than new with the distinct detail and character of the wood grain catching light and depth! It is truly a showpiece along with now being a piece of art!

His work is exceptional. He made my rusty rod iron table look like new. He was efficient, courteous and I recommend him highly.

James Ferrigno was super easy to work with. I was skeptical about what I would get for the not so inexpensive price that he quoted so I decided to "try him out" with just one piece at first. All I can say is WOW! He refinished my king size headboard to perfection. I immediately had him take the rest of my bedroom set to refinish. If you're in a hurry, he may not be the man for you - BUT - if you're more interested in quality, go no further!

The service was great and everything was done on time

James reconfigured an old entertainment center that we have had for years. He did an amazing job and was able to reuse some of the wood from the section that he took apart. He was creative, extremely easy to work with and fun to have around the house. The piece that he created is beautiful and updated to accommodate a 78" TV. He was able to paint it to fit into our decor perfectly. I would be happy to recommend him.

James restored a 1965 bedroom set that I planned to give to my niece for her wedding. He repaired drawers and veneer to perfection. He refinished the wood to its original beauty allowing the grain to show. The newlyweds were thrilled and I was truly pleased with the workmanship! He even arranged to deliver the pieces to their new home. I would definitely use his services again and recommend him to all.

James worked with me over several months to get the color of our oak dining room table just perfect. He took it down from a dark brown color to a more contemporary creamy greige color which shows the beautiful grains in the wood. He shared the color samples he mixed all along the way to get the color just right. It now looks so new and fresh. I highly recommend him.

James restored my dining room chairs, badly damaged by the moving company, to look brand new. It was a pleasure working with him.

Timely

James refinished an antique table for us, it came out amazing and as a result he is going to reconfigure and refinish an armoir . Looking forward to seeing his new project when completed.

James and his employees are very detail-oriented and did a beautiful job on my 50-year-old oak dining table and 6 chairs! It now looks as it did when my husband and I purchased it so many years ago. It is now the gorgeous light oak that it was way back then. The feet on the table are lion claws and one on the middle toes was missing. James carved a new toe and it is perfect! I have an old oak icebox that I am sure is older than the dining set and I would like him to do that next. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
