Description of Work: Wisdom Structural responded on time and inspected my house quickly and efficiently. WS explained the "problems" with my house and advised the best way to fix my current problems and avoid future problems. | |I would HIGHLY recommend them.

Description of Work: I needed to determine if a post running from my roof overhang to the ground was structural or not. A gentlemen from Wisdom stated that he thought it wasn't structural, but to be sure, he fitted a shoring post below the structure and then cut out the existing post (and hauled it away). He left the shoring post for a couple of days to make sure the roof overhang did not sag and then came back to collect the post. | |The workman was polite and professional. I would hire them again.

Description of Work: Did we use Wisdom? Well, we tried! | |At the end of May this year we contracted with Wisdom for a structural inspection and evaluation of a property. It was scheduled for June 3, 2014. Seth was there on June 3. He was personable and professional and completed the inspection. He said we'd have the report in a "few days" | |On June 30, following a number of daily inquiries, the structural inspection report was delivered by Email. It was very well done, complete with an essay on the findings, drawings of the proposed remedies and the price for performing the work. The findings and the proposed remedy were much more extensive than we expected and included a remedy for a structural problem Wisdom had not mentioned in an earlier inspection and report they had done a number of years ago on the same house. | |We Emailed Wisdom Structural that same day to say that the complete remedy as detailed in the current report was beyond our means at this time and requesting a quote on part of the work, the part we already knew about and for which we had budgeted. | |Up to this date, the first of August 2014, there has never been a reply to that request. | |We have decided that we will seek another contractor to do the work. Wisdom Structural has been easy to reach, started out slow to respond and finally was completely unresponsive. | |We will not be using Wisdom Structural in the future and will share our experience of them with others in conversations about structural work and contractors.

Description of Work: First, I want to explain the punctualness. I tried to contact that them directly and it took a long time to get no answer, despite 3 attempts. I then contacted them through my realtor, who has an existing relationship with Wisdom structural, and the response was immediate. | |Despite this negative initial experience, once they were under my employ, everything went smoothly and professionally. They ran into permitting problems, which incompetent city workers caused. The owner of Wisdom took care of it personally and everything on completed in the needed (if a bit longer) period of time. | |I would also note that one other structural engineer inspected my house and came to similar conclusions about the needed repair, but came in 50% higher in price.
