Just before installation, we changed the location of the tankless water heating unit from one side of the house to the other. This required more work and doubled the estimate. The electrician provided a new estimate on the spot. We thought the estimate was fair and proceeded. The electrician was very polite and accommodating. The electrician was professional and informative. We could tell he genuinely cared about his clients and took pride in his work.

He came, he saw, he fixed and did not break the bank. Very impressive!
Description of Work: Receptionist- friendly-, answered the phone quickly and easy to make same day appointment with time estimate of a 2 hour window. Took information of what the electrical issues were.Just before electrician arrived- she called to inform us he was on the way. Well within the 2 hour window. Ron the electrician was great. Very friendly and informative. He put on booties when in the house to protect flooring from dirt. He did not try to sell any extra work but did corrects a small problem not called for at no charge. He was felxible in dealing with issues that we also wanted taken care of not discussed with receptionist. He did not mind my staying with him to watch and he answered all questions. He was very thorough, worked efficiently and discussed options. I was pleasantly surprised after the multi hours of work and devices he installed and the very reasonable bill. I will use this company again without hesitation and tell friends. This electrical serviceman was a refreshing change from past "professionals". He changed out bad florescent ballasts without replacing the entire fixture to save money. He supplied the new light tubes. He fixed exterior receptical and determimed cause one exterior receptical no longer worked. He added GFI receptical. He gave estimates for other work (very reasonable).

At 2:30 pm, we found out that what we THOUGHT was a plumbing problem with our water heater was actually an electrical problem. My husband called Small Jobs Electric. They were able to get someone out within two hours, and fixed the problem in less than 30 minutes! We will undoubtedly be calling them again for any and all electrical needs!
Description of Work: Electrician was able to quickly diagnose that the electrical problem with our water heater was due to a TECO device that was no longer in use - a fuse had shorted in the device, cutting off power to our water heater. He was able to re-route the power source to eliminate the problem.

I called Small Jobs Electric because I had a breaker box for my spa blowing everytime I turned on the spa. Small Jobs Electric was at my house within 30 minutes from the time I called them. The electriction named Jaz checked out the spa electric wiring and said I needed another 110 outlet. He then went to the main breaker box for the house to see where to pull another 110 circuit from. When Jaz was inspecting the box he found that one of the breakers had arced. This arcing in the breaker box could have started a major fire. Jaz expained to us that when a breaker arcs in the breaker box you cannot just replace the breaker that arced but you must replace the whole breaker box. My wife and I agreed to have the breaker box replaced and asked Jaz when he could get the job done. Jaz contacted his office and came back and said he had the materals coming and he would have the job done today. He also had to run electric along the base of the house to the back for the spa heater circuit he installed. They did a great job with that installation as well. Jaz worked until almost 8:30 that night to get the job done. He did a great job and it was a great feeling to know there are true professionals out there like Small Jobs Electric. Thanks again to Jaz !
Description of Work: Replaced the whole house circuit breaker box. Put in a 110 outlet at the back of the house for the spa heater.

I did not hire them to do the work after the estimate. Unfortunately, the cost was higher than I had anticipated. The crew was very good at explaining the work and what they needed to do. They even assisted me with a light switch that I had some trouble with - at no cost.
Description of Work: Requested an estimate for a ceiling fan installation and installation of pendant lights in my kitchen. Did not have the work done because of the price. In fairness, I do not know what installation of a celing fan and pendante lights costs with associated switches. The two-man crew was very professional, on time, personable, and gave me a written estimate. They would have began the work right away, if I had wanted. Installation would have required running new wires, replacing switches, and was estimated to take about half a day.

Perfect service, JAG went above and beyond, by informing me of power conditions I wasn'[t aware of and offering additional services to help protect my home. The price was fair and the job was completed perfectly.
Description of Work: The technician arrived on time, replaced a three way light switch and a power outlet that had a nightlight plugged in that caught fire. JAG, the technician, informed me that I had 125 volts running in the outlet and that the nightlight was only rated for 120 volts. He also told me that the reason I burn out light bulbs so quickly is that I am using bulbs rated for 120volts. He also suggested a whole house surge protector. I will definately use them again, they were top notch!

I had the ceiling repaired by Quality Ceiling Refinishing ( found this company in the Angies List magazine). I had asked their owner if they could install the extension pole for me since they had to remove it to work on the ceiling, and he said they would. However, the crew chief told me that the wires were too short so they couldn't install the extension . So I called a handy man who never called me back. Then I called this company and I was able to set up a date convenient for us both. Ron arrived on time with his protective shoe coverings and did an excellent job. When I asked if he would replace the light bulbs in the new caned lighting that the ceiling repair crew had neglected to do, he very kindly agreed.I would highly recommend this company.

The gentleman from Small Jobs Electric was very friendly and stated all the associated costs before he started work. He also put on booties every time he came into my house from the outside! Nice. He worked amazingly fast and efficiently. He replaced my kitchen light's ballast and reassembled the light fixture just like new. He also removed the old ceiling fan in my livingroom, assembled the new fan which was still in the box, installed the new fan and had everything finished in about an hour or so. He also told me exactly what he did and how the new ceiling fan worked. I would certainly recommend them to my friends!

Overall, everything was excellent! Orlando arrived on time, he waited patiently for me to put our 3 large dogs on the lanai and then listened to my concerns. He got right to work in the attic, told me the cost to fix the broken light switch and fixed it rather quickly. He examined the excess wires that were left in the attic by previous home owners, he advised me that they are harmless phone and cable wires and can be left alone. He checked on another light in the attic and advised that the fixture is cracked but works fine and does not need to be fixed. I wouldn't hesitate to call Small Jobs Electric in the future.

My experience up to the time the technician arrived was excellent, but I was worried that he would not be familiar with the spa's electrical system and anticipated a problem. How suprised I was when I found out that he was not only aware of how to fix it, but made a suggestion as to how to prevent it again in the future. I have had other electrical work done in my home and knew that it would not be a bargin, but considering the amount of time it took and the fact that he had to go and purchase the GFI and a new enclosure, I think the charge was reasonable. I would use this company again for any future electrical work I need with complete confidence.
Description of Work: My spa would not run. I had replaced the GFI twice before, so I assumed that was the issue. I called Small Jobs Electric at 8:30 and they were at my door at 11:00 the same day.

Upon contacting the office, I was quickly called back by an electrician who quoted the installation of the wiring and charging station. I accepted the price and the following morning the job was scheduled for the next day. The office called to let me know the Electrician and helper were on their way and they arrived at the time specified. Installation was quick and very professionally conducted in approximately 90 minutes. The crew cleaned up all of the debris and left the area as pristine as when they arrived. They were very friendly and courteous and answered all questions quickly and accurately. I am very pleased with "Small Jobs Electric" and would not hesitate to hire them again. If you are considering having electrical work done, I would strongly recommend this company. There ave very few companies familiar with EV charging systems, but this company is one of the few.
Description of Work: Installed Leviton Level 2 EVSE pre-wire kit and the evr-green™ 160Home Charging Station for Level 2 EV Charging, 3.8kW output. This home charging station is to be used to power the Nissan LEAF which will be arriving in three weeks. Installation included a 220/240V 40 amp dedicated circuit connected to a breaker. Wiring was run from main circuit box up into the attic, back down through the ceiling drywall, and then conduit was installed on the concrete wall leading down to the charging unit.

I was very impressed right from the start. When I called SJE, I talked to Jessica. She was very nice and professional. She explained their pricing policy very concisely and pointed out they worked by the job and not by the hour. She advised an electrician could be at my home by 1 pm today. I was happy to hear that and agreed. At about 10:45 am, Jessica called me back and said the electrician could actually be here earlier and I advised okay. Ron arrived at about 11 am. He was also very polite and professional. He put red covers over his shoes whenever he entered our home. He looked as though he was working in the clean room for the space shuttle! Ron checked out the electrical system, was very thorough, and explained things as he went. He found no problems other than the bad GFCI outlet he isolated in the garage. But, while he was in the attic tracing the fault, he did mention to me that whomever did our A/C installation had done a great job on the duct work! I appreciated his vote of confidence! The price I paid may seem a little high for just replacing a GFCI outlet, but I realized he had to check multiple outlets and work in the attic to track the problem down. The GFCI outlet he found to be the problem appeared to be in proper working order. Usually a bad GFCI will short out or trip the red button, but this one did not. So, the fix only appears easy once you have done all of the detective work and tracked it down. I was able to use their Angie's LIst $25 off coupon, too. Overall I say this was an excellent experience, I knew the full price up front and they back the repair with a 1 year guarantee!
Description of Work: We had dead outlets in 2 bathrooms. I had replaced the receptacles, but that wasn't the problem. I called Small Jobs Electric(SJE) at 9 am this morning and by 11 am Ron was at my home. Ron did a complete check of the panel box, the bathroom outlets and the wiring in the attic. He isolated the problem to a defective GFCI outlet in the garage. He replaced the outlet and this restored the power in both bathrooms.
