Redman Fence

I cannot explain how thrilled my wife and I are with our new wooden fence. We've been holding out for years but because of a recent pet addition to our family we've run out of time to stall. We definitely wanted to have a reputable company so naturally we looked to Angie's list. Terry immediately gained our confidence through not only his industry experience and knowledge but his overall consideration in our search for the right fence and overall professionalism. It wouldn't be fair if I didn't mention his installation team who were very nice and super attentive. They made it quick and seamless and definitely delivered above our expectations. All posts were properly measured and concreted. The slats were treated and routed. The gate is beyond quality and it completely stands out in our community. We are in complete love with our new found privacy and yard. This fence was a long time plan and we are ecstatic that we called them.

Beautiful vinyl fence with neighbors stopping to admire. It has 6 foot wide panels with keyed gates for security and white hardware which blends in well with white color that has pretty sheen. Lifetime warranty is nice to have.

I contacted Redman Fence for an estimate. Mr. Redman set the appointment the next day, was punctual and very professional. He took the measurements and had a plan and an estimate to me within the week. We have not started our fence project but intend to call on Redman Fence when we do.

This company is incredible. Everything told to me was delivered. The workers installing the fence were incredible and handled a very difficult grade in my back yard incredibly. I moved here from the northeast about 12 years ago and these guys would survive in New York they were awesome!

When you finally wise up and ditch the Big Box store fencing (split pickets, knotholes, slapdash installation, not-anywhere-near-straight lines, and installers who are in a hurry and just want to get your fence sort of up so they can go to the next job), call Redman Fence and Wood Productions. These folks are artists with wood. The picket fence I had in the front of my property was really cute - in 1955 when it was probably manufactured. I have a 20s bungalow and wanted to keep the charm and curb appeal of a picket fence, but after the so-so experience I had with the mass produced stockade fencing on my lot I decided I wanted the best for the fence in front. I totally got that with Redman! The attention to detail was impressive at every stage of the project, from the on- site visit and inspection to the sit-down conference with detailed, professional imagery, to the many follow up e-mails to make sure Terry Redman and I were on the same page. Then the crew got to work! No rush, no cut corners, no 40 minute coffee breaks. I have almost never seen a crew work so diligently and well. These are not just guys putting in a fence. Like everyone else with whom I dealt at Redman the installers are craftsmen. They also listen to the homeowner. In the end (and after having looked at a thousand picket fences in a hundred magazines) the fence Redman gave me is better than the best fence I saw in my mind. Terry also recommended a high quality painter to give the fence and gate the coating they need to last and last. You want cheap? You can get that anywhere. You want good - no, great - go to Redman Fence.

There are those contractors that do a good job and then there are the ones that are clearly the best in class. Redman Fence is clearly the best in class. I received three estimates for the fence replacement. I will admit that Redman was the highest but not by a lot. I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for. The project started with Terry, the owner, coming to the house, walking the property, taking measurements and listening to what I was looking for. Terry has a great presentation on how a fence should be built and what distinguishes Redman from the others, both as to construction techniques and materials used. I have hammered a lot of nails and cut a lot of lumber in my days, including the 16 year old fence we were having replaced, so I feel that I know a little about quality carpentry. The quality of the construction specifications and the quality of the materials justified the higher price. Due to scheduling issues with my re-landscaping project and Redman's already booked workload, it was about 6 weeks until the project got started. Tim, Dave, and Chris worked tirelessly for 3 days to complete the project. Each day a different section was demoed and replaced. Minimized the impact on the neighbors with dogs. Tim was a good communicator, asking questions on how I wanted certain aspects done and giving suggestions for better alternatives. I was with them in the back yard during the entire project - flagging the sprinkler system along the fence line, slightly cutting back a deck that was going to interfere with the new fence, asking questions, staying out of the way, and mostly admiring true craftsmen doing their best for the customer. Got to talk with each one of them during the project. They truly enjoy what they do and take exceptional pride in their work Every post is plumb and solid, every fence line is straight, every board is nailed properly with SS ring shank nails, every stringer is ground contact quality and screwed to the posts. The gates are beautiful and solid. Double post (triple on one) on the hinge side so sagging will be minimal.The job site was neat and safe at all times and when they left for the day the only way you could tell that they had been there was a new section of fence was in place and the old fence was gone. No stray nails, no pieces of old or new wood laying around. All materials neatly stacked. All tools not taken home for the night were stored neatly and out of the way. If you just want to keep the dogs in the yard, go to Home Depot and buy some cheap pre-fabbed sections or go with a low bid contractor. But if you want a fence that will look good year after year and add real value to your home, call Terry Redman for a quote and then have Tim, Dave, and Chris build it for you. It's worth the few extra bucks

It went well. At the time, they were scheduled about 30 to 45 days out, but they were able to start within 21 days. Once they started, they were there every day except one day because of rain. Adding the new fence made such a huge improvement. It's like a completely new yard. They came a few days before starting to review the project plan with me and once started, they kept me up to date on the progress every day.

Mr. Redman was very professional and courteous during the estimate process. Once the bid was approved and the dates set for the job, his team came in to start the job. They were careful to keep my yard enclosed during the process, as I have a small dog, and were neat and very particular about the work. The final results are FANTASTIC! I have had many compliments about the fence and the construction will last for years. They are a little more expensive than some of their competitors, but the warranty, and workmanship are well worth the extra cost.

Wonderful Job!! Our fence is just beautiful. Terry Redman came to give the estimate, and explained all about the fence design and structure. Then the nicest crew come out to install the fence?Tim, Dave, and Chris?professional, punctual, and just plain nice. The product itself is of an excellent quality as is the workmanship. I have a perfectly straight fence?which is what I wanted. By the way, this is our second Redman Fence. We put one in at our previous home and, after 17 years, it was still standing and looked pretty good for its age. I didn?t call anyone else for an estimate. I knew this was the company I wanted. Thank you all. We couldn?t be happier!

Great on time within budget and great quality.

Every step of the process was exceptional! Terry responded very quickly to my initial call for a quote. He came out and gave a very organized and thorough presentation about the materials he uses and how his team installs the fence; this helped me make an informed decision. He also submitted all the documents directly to my HOA approval committee on my behalf. The installation team headed by William was just outstanding; they took a lot of pride in doing the job right. One of my main concerns was to keep the fence as low as possible to the ground, not leaving any gaps that my small dogs could explore...they took great care in addressing my concern! They took the extra time to trench in parts of the fence as well in order to keep the fence very level across the top. Everyone associated with Redman was highly professional and courteous. Arlene from the office even called halfway through the project to see if the installation was to our liking to that point! Amazing customer service

The whole experience was fantastic. I had a warranty issue and they came out and fixed it with no problems whatsoever. The owner Terry Redman really stands behind his product. I got multiple quotes and they were not the cheapest, but they had the best quality product. They got the job done in about 2-3 days. The cleaned up after themselves everyday. The workers that came to the house were also very nice and knowledgable.

Terry came out and gave all the details and showed us the options with great visuals. It really made us aware of the quality of their fences versus other fences in passing. They built a beautiful vinyl fence with extra depth, pretty caps and visually is amazing. Despite our uneven yard: the fence is straight and beautiful. They were quick, polite and clean. They may cost a bit more than the "other guy" or big box stores; but when you see the quality of the work you will not think twice about the minimal extra cost. I like to call it the BMW of fences- if there is such a thing!

We researched on angies list and could tell from the reviews that this was the company we wanted to use. When Terry came out for the initial consultation, he was on time and able to provide a visual library of past projects and ideas. He was knowledgeable and able to answer all our questions and provided suggestions on the design and construction of the fence. Terry was instrumental in helping us with property line location, preparing documents for home owners association approval and final layout. He was able to work us into his busy schedule as we had just purchased the house and had a dog that needed the fence quickly. The installation team was on time and made up of professionals that finished the project in less time than quoted and did a fantastic job. They were polite and communicated well throughout the entire process. We are very happy with the finished product and would use them for future projects.

This is the second time we have used Redman Fence to install a fence at our home. This time we decided to get a 4-foot high aluminum fence with one large gate and one smaller gate. As usual, the communication with Terry was outstanding. He arrived at our house to provide the estimate exactly on time. In the back of his truck he had full size samples of the various grades, styles, and colors of aluminum fence material. We then walked the property line and discussed the best way to do the project. He told me about the various pros and cons of wood versus vinyl versus aluminum. We finally decided on the height, grade, style and color. A day or so later, Terry sent a completed estimate, complete with pictures and diagrams, for me to review and sign. He knew we were very anxious to get started because our dogs were always running out of the yard. Terry was able to get us scheduled as soon as the fence material was ready from the manufacturer. The work started on the day Terry said it would the the 3 man construction team was just great. They were all friendly, professional, and went the extra mile to work with me to ensure the fence was installed just the way I wanted. We had to make a few adjustments and corrections to allow for things like the septic tank, but in the end it all turned out fantastic. From beginning to end, Terry and his crew again did absolutely top-notch work. I cannot comment on how his prices compare to others because we did not seek other bids. We knew his work and materials are worth every penny. Most highly recommend for any and all fence work.

Great company to deal with. The owner is very detail oriented and the installers were punctual, professional, and did a great job. They came back and replaced a bent gate latch at no cost.

Terry Redman gave one of the most professional sales presentations I have ever had the pleasure of sitting through. He backed up everything with pictures and information he keeps on his tablet. Everything was explained in detail and we felt extremely confident that we had chosen someone who would deliver a quality product with exceptional service, and that is what we got. The crew leader, William, was professional and extremely patient. He did everything to make us feel comfortable with what they had to do . He reviewed before he started for the day and again when they were finished for the day. He even made special accommodations for our dogs, during the 4 days they worked on the fence. All the workers who came were friendly and focused on the job at hand. All in all, this excellent company, went above and beyond to give us an exceptional experience and the new fence makes our house look like it had an expensive face lift. Thank-you Redman Fence!

They did very well, paid attention to detail, and was timely. Very accommodating.

We made an appointment with Terry at Redman as well as another provider to come out and give us ideas and estimates on an aluminum fence for our backyard. We have a scenic pond behind our home, but our view was partially obstructed by our old wooden fence. I knew Terry and his company were different during our first encounter with him. He called us the night of the appointment to inform us he was running early, and ask if it would be OK if he arrived earlier than scheduled. As a mother of a newborn, this was greatly appreciated! Terry provided us with several great ideas for fencing options, showed us pictures of similar installations, and provided us with all the other necessary information we needed to feel comfortable with his company - proof of insurance, licensing, etc. In addition, he answered all of our numerous questions, and followed up by emailing us some additional photos to help with our fence decision. He also left us with a folder containing additional information regarding the type of fencing, warranty information, etc. And the folder had a label with our name and address on it, specifically detailed for us. As the daughter of a contractor, I can tell you that this is above and beyond a normal sales call. Once we decided on a fence, we scheduled work with Terry for a week or so before Christmas. Unfortunately I had a death in the family at the last minute, so we had to reschedule the work for after Christmas. Again Terry was very flexible with us, and our fence was installed a day or two after we returned from out of town. Terry's foreman and assistant arrived to remove our old fence, and were very professional and pleasant. They too were super flexible and answered more of our questions. We LOVE our new fence and LOVE being able to enjoy our scenic view now even more! Thank you Terry for doing such a great job and for the great service you show your clients! I would hire this company again in a heartbeat.

This may not seem like a big thing but it was for us. First of all Redman Fence showed us once again how responsive they are by contacting us and appearing as scheduled to remove a section of fence and then again to put it back in place. Secondly, they did not charge me for the call and thirdly the Tim's team is the same group of polite and professional guys that came out for the installation. This company is really a pleasure to do business with,

Quality work. Set each post in cement and built it plank by plank. Great to deal with, the fence stands solid some 7 years after installed. Done the old fashioned way, with hard work and sweat.

In a word? Amazing. I have done extensive renovation on our home and am in the process of building another and Redman fence is by far the best contractor I have worked with in all of these projects. From the initial presentation to the final gate being hung, Terry and company were consummate professionals, hard to find in the trades. I believe that comes from the time these guys have been in the business and a very high level of communication between Terry, the owner, and the client. Being in the business for 30 years, Terry, Tim, Chris and Dave ( the guys in the field, terrific!) have seen it all and were able to meet any of my needs or provide me with a better solution than I was thinking. A perfect example? Part of my wooden fence called for standard-sized posts, but upon building, Tim made the call to put in 6" posts and it was spot on. When I mentioned to Terry how good it looked and asked him to add to my final bill, he laughed and said it was on the house! In terms of communication, by the time I signed off on the job, I knew EXACTLY what to expect during the course of the project. If I needed anything, day or night, Terry was a text or phone call away. The job was completed in a week, and we couldn't be happier. Consider me a raving fan. I'd love to use them again but I think this fence will outlive me! The compliments we get from neighbors have been especially gratifying, as we have turned a dirt lot into a wonderful park.
