Redman Fence

The job went extremely well and exceeded my expectations!!!! My favorite part besdes the fence itself are the locking gates that no other compnay even had as an option. We are so very pleased and thrilled with Redman Fence, and have no doubt anyone who hires them will not be dissapointed...They are the best of the best of the best!!!

I was drawn to Redman fence primarily because of the large number of reviews on Angies List and that they were overwhelmingly the highest rating. Terry's fence product (Alumi-Guard) was also praised. Terry, the owner, came totally prepared. He presented us with a folder containing material about his company and Alumi-Guard. His presentation was thorough and professional. We had an honest exchange of ideas and expectations. His iPad demonstration gave us a clear picture of what was possible and the kind of quality he delivers. He had aluminum fence displays on his truck allowing me to see the color, style and grade of the various choices. It made the decision to go with him and his product very easy. Terry is a perfectionist. He pays close attention to detail and wants to get the job done right the first time. He quickly follows up on phone calls and emails. He checks on the progress of the job, making sure I was satisfied and that any concerns were addressed. He came back at the end of the project to make sure everything was perfect. William, the installer, is just as meticulous and thorough. The fence was installed plumb, straight and level. The spacing between posts was even and consistent. Each post was secured in cement but extra care was taken with the gate posts. The gate posts were deeper in the hole, more cement was used in larger holes, rebar went into the cement, an extra day to cure the cement was taken. The result was a perfect, effortless and quiet swinging gate; again plumb, level and highly reinforced to withstand the torque. Arlene, the secretary, was great too. She was courteous, friendly and professional. She made sure that my questions and concerns got to Terry in a timely fashion and that there were no problems. I had one problem that was resolved the day that it was discovered but it gives you an idea what lengths the Redman team will go to finish the job on time. It was mid afternoon on a Friday, and a pin in the hinge was missing preventing the gate from being installed. Alumi-Guard operating staff don't work on Fridays, but fortunately there were office staff there to locate the part and have the part ready. It took Terry 3 hours to get that part, but he did and the job was finished on time. I would recommend Redman fence and will use them for all my fencing needs. Alumi-Guard is an American company, headquartered in Florida and operating in 49 states and Canada. Everything, including raw materials, comes from the U.S. The product gives you a wide variety of choice of color, style and grade. The people are professionals, courteous and very helpful.

Terry came out with an iPad that allowed him to show us how the whole process would be done. It was a nice presentation form the owner.

Our review is way overdue but every day we look at the deck and pergola built by Redman Wood Productions and agree it's a work of art. The attention to detail and precision that Tim demonstrated went well beyond our expectations,. It is one great looking, exceptionally well-constructed structure. As we've said to everyone who sees it. these guys aren't carpenters, they're craftsmen. We could not be happier with our decision to work with Terry Redman and his crew.

With Terry's helpful suggestions we ended up with very attractive and functional fencing. Tim and his installation crew were very professional and a pleasure to deal with, as was Terry and his office staff. Job was completed in the time frame I was told, despite weather and custom work. We were very pleased with the quality, workmanship, and how much the look of the new fence has added to the attractiveness of our yard.

From the beginning to end, there was excellent communication from Terry Redman and the job foreman, Tim. There were a few challenges involved in the job, such as working around large oak trees and the placement of gates. Both Terry and Tim took the time to visit the property prior to starting construction to discuss what could and couldn't be done. The job started on time and took about 5 days, several of which we received heavy rain. The job was finished on time and the finished product is awesome. Over the years, we have become accustomed to receiving less than what was promised when hiring contractors. When we get what was promised, we are generally happy even if there were some short cuts taken or the workmanship was average. When we hired Redman Fence, we expected a high quality product, but I have to say that they exceeded our expectations. Tim and his crew were skilled, smart and creative and an showed an attention to detail that we have never experienced with a contractor in our 25 years of home ownership. From top to bottom, everyone at Redman was friendly and professional. They are excellent contractors and excellent people.

We recently purchased an unfenced house on a half-acre, corner lot, cul-de-sac property. Our first priority was the safety of our 13 year-old autistic son, Alex, so quality was paramount. We have to make sure that the property was secured to protect not only our son, but also our two Collie dogs. I researched and interviewed several fencing contractors, and I found Redman Fencing exclusively through Angie?s list. I am eternally grateful for Angie?s List because without you all, I never would have found this extraordinary company, Redman Fencing, the ?CADILLAC? of fencing contractors (without the Cadillac price). Terry Redman and his team led by Lead Installer, Tim, are CRAFTSMEN! Their attention to detail is exceptional - unparalleled in my experience. First, Terry Redman, owner of the company, met with us personally on three different occasions to discuss fence styles and placement. He then met with the county ordinance managers to discuss our particular lot- a half-acre, corner lot, cul-de-sac property to ensure that the project met with county specifications. He was flexible with payment options and starting times. When we decided to move the project up, he was able to accommodate us without hesitation. On project day, in spite of looming Hurricane Isaac, his men arrived on time, professional in both dress and demeanor. They unloaded single slats from Redman?s own mill of thick, beautifully hand- milled wood which were then installed with care one by one ? like true craftsmen! Secondly, Tim, Lead Installer took great care in the installation. For example, he sought our advice on moving the gate over by one inch! With such attention to our concerns and details, I knew we had made the right decision in choosing Redman. We are thrilled with our beautiful fence, and we are confident in the security and safety it will provide our family. Ironically, our next door neighbors installed a fence the week before we did. They choose Danielle Fencing, one of the contractors we considered, and our fences abut each other. The side-by-side comparison tells the whole story! The Redman Fence is a thicker, better constructed, higher-quality fence compared to the thinner pre-made paneled sections of the Danielle Fence. The Redman Fence also looks more durable as each slat is screwed verses the pre-fabricated connections of the Danielle Fence. I know our Redman fence with withstand a hurricane. I am so grateful for the wonderful service Redman provides, and I would enthusiastically recommend him for your fencing project!

Called Redman, Terry came out following week. He presented all options on an iPad after measuring yard. We knew we wanted a Redman fence, so we did not bother with other companies. This is the company you want. They use superior materials and the workmanship is conducted by veteran professionals. The total job took five days and it was a joy meeting with the crew and seeing them transform our yard. I was present during the bulk of the job and did end up fine tuning some of the plans mid job. They were helpful and made the adjustments without a fuss.

Couldn't ask for better service or a finer product! Within four days of giving the "go ahead" on the bid, Redman's was at our home doing the work. Terry and crew did an outstaning job installing the product, talking us through the procedure and getting our input. The fencing looks wonderful and I can't sing their praises enough! Quality fending, quality installation and quality people! Will recommend them without a doubt and use them again in a heartbeat!

They consulted with me about the fence and the bench since I had specific requirements. I have a guide dog and I did not want anything crawling under my fence that would hurt myself or my dog. They recommended that we use landscape fabric under and partially up the side of the fence to keep my yard safe. We also built a customized bench which they designed specifically for my height, it is a very comfortable bench and I can sit on it on very nice days and listen to the quiet sounds of nature. The fence is well constructed and at every stage of the project they consulted with me about what to do. The wood is treated and I should get many good years out of my fence. Eventually, I will add a custom designed dog grooming bench in the backyard. They were easy to work with and very professional. The previous fence was held up by a broom stick and when i went looking for a fence I wanted to make sure the one I got was not only functional but very good looking. My neighbors have commented on how lovely it looks on both sides and are happy to have it facing their yard. I highly recommend their work and would use them for other projects. I am remised that I have not written this sooner as they deserve a excellent recommendation for their work.

Tropical storm Debby blew down part of my privacy fence. A portion of the rest of it was barely standing. I looked on Angie's list & found Redman Fence. I called & scheduled an appointment with Terry Redman to get an estimate. I was most interested in a fence that would last and be very sturdy. Terry's presentation was impressive. It was exactly the type of fence I was looking for. His estimate was reasonable for a sturdy fence that would last. It also looked very nice. Robert, the installer, & his crew were great. The fence was done in one day. My family & I are very pleased with the look of the fence.

The team that he assigned to my house was Robert Thompson, and they were very polite and very professional. They had to work with my neighbors who was presenting a boundary problem. They did so very skillfully. They did the job very fast, putting a fence up in 2 days. They were very respectful and always consulted me for decisions. They were also very mindful about making a mess. They were very clean.

Terry Redman promptly returned my call, scheduled service and followed up after the work was completed to make sure we were happy with the work performed. The workers arrived on time, were friendly, competent and professional. In fact, they went above and beyond and nailed in additional loose boards the noticed. I highly recommend Redman Fence!

Redman staff always arrived onsite early and left late, at times, even working through the pouring rain to construct our new fence. They finished on time and worked diligently to ensure everything was done properly. There were no problems or issues. The fence went together beautifully and we have already had many complements on our new fence.

Redman Fence recently installed a fence around the front and side of our home and we couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. We live on a corner lot and my wife and I discussed having a fence installed for quite a while, but we couldn?t decide on the style, color, or type of fence that would look best for our particular house. After contacting a few of the highly rated fence companies on Angie?s List, we met with and quickly realized that we wanted to work with Terry Redman. It was obvious from our initial meeting that Terry knows the fencing business and he is extremely knowledgeable. Terry has been in the business for years and he has a no pressure style when working with his customers. At first Terry listened to determine our preferences and then, working within our allotted budget for the project, showed us numerous photos taken of his previous jobs that would work for us. This was really a tremendous help and allowed us to visualize how Terry's recommendations might look. Terry understood that this was a big decision for us and he was very patient talking and meeting with us a number of times prior to us making our final decision. Eventually we decided on an Alumi-Guard fence. Alumi-Guard is an excellent product; it has the look of wrought iron with none of the maintenance concerns. Terry assisted us with all the details, choosing the finials, ball caps and even what fence color might look best, we believe he nailed it. We were originally going to go with a traditional black fence, but Terry recommended that we consider the light bronze finish to compliment the existing colors of our home. What a great recommendation, eventually we selected all of Terry?s recommendations and we couldn?t be more satisfied. The installation process was a breeze and Terry communicated with us often during the process. He contacted us when he felt there was important information to share or to provide us an update of his installer?s progress. The installers did a great job and their workmanship shows. They were courteous and provided me an update of their progress every afternoon when I got home from work. If you are considering having a fence installed I recommend that you consider and contact Terry Redman, his prices are competitive, workmanship and materials used are unsurpassed. We?re sure you will be a satisfied customer like us.

Terry Redman and his team did an excellent job on my fence. I am very pleased with the communication I received on the project. We contracted with them 3 months prior to the job starting. They would check in periodically to see how things were going with my house being built and other projects that had to happen before the fence was installed. They completed the project in one day. Very quick and good crew who did the work with a smile on their face. I have already sent 2 people to Redman Fence and will send more.

We had contacted 2 other companies for estimates. They were never on time for the appts. Then we called Redman Fence. I had found them on Angie's list and noticed they were so highly recommended. Mr. Redman was so great. He came out for the estimate and was exactly on time. He took the time to explain the advantages of wood or vinyl, etc. Mr. Redman put us on his schedule and called when it was our turn. They are busy because of the outstanding workmanship they provide. When he called to tell us we were next, the 2 installers were right on time. We were certain we wanted RedmanFence to do the job. His two installers were wonderful, friendly and did an exceptional job. They build it there on your property (board pieces are pre-cut to specs), and they take the time to do it perfectly. It was a week of downpours and they even worked in the rain. I can't say enough about how much we are pleased with choosing Redman instead of another fence installer. If you need any kind of fence, call Redman first and save the time and hassle of any other company. They have been in business for many years and it shows. I was extremely pleased with the way this company does business. It is not surprising to see that this company is so highly rated on Angie's List. They get an A plus plus in every category from me. I bought my first home in January and putting up a fence was #1 priority. I have never lived in an HOA Deed Restricted Community before and I had some trouble getting approval to say the least. From my initial contact with Terry Redman on the phone he was more than helpful. Terry came to my house and not only drew up a proposal/quote, but provided detailed information about the his company and the products they use. Terry came up with a few design options that were amazing. The tricky part was getting it approved by my HOA and Terry even helped me submit the application for them to review. My HOA denied the first design due to height restrictions, but finally after about TWO MONTHS, they approved the 4 ft black aluminum three rail fence design. Fun Fact: Redman Fencing just doesn't go pick up your fence materials from the store or install your fence using left over sections from prior jobs. Terry special orders it straight from the factory with your specific dimensions in mind. As soon as the parts are ready, they pick it up and bring it straight to your house leaving no room for the possibility of damage while sitting in a garage somewhere. Installation was to begin on a Friday and take three days. The installers were extremely nice and hard working. In fact, they finished the job by the end of the second day. They were very polite and answered any last questions/concerns I had about property lines and fence design. I am more than happy with the final product and glad I chose Redman Fencing! They may not be the cheapest company, but their professionalism and workmanship exceeded my expectations. Thanks again Terry!!

They are professional, and they do the job right. You do not have to call them back to fix things because it is done right to start with. They are top notch and if you are in the market for any kind of fencing you should make contact with them.

Redman quoted and then installed a cypress fence for us just after we moved into our current home in 2006. We had seen their work locally and had been impressed with the workmanship and sturdiness of their fences. Our project includes two paired gates that allow a car to be driven into our backyard. The owner helped us decide among several options for our project. The fencing was built on site as opposed to prefab. Their work is excellent and the fence still looks great after 6 years. We are now looking to make some additional home improvements and recently contacted Redman to quote a deck, which prompted my posting of this review.

My experience with Redman Fencing was incredible. They were prompt, professional and very affordable. I dealt directly with the owner, a nice experience-not having to call several people to get answers. Terry Redman handled all of the paperwork for my HOA and the design board review. I needed to make a change in the material order after the order had been placed and Terry not only worked with me to quickly order what I wanted, he did not charge me a dime for changing the plans. The installers were extremely nice and went above and beyond what I would of expected. They left my yard looking beautiful. The installer, William, called me to let me know he was on his way and then was so considerate to knock softly on the door (instead of ringing the bell) because he knew I had young children and it was around nap-time. Of course, service is very important, but like most people in today's economy, I was very concerned with the price. I got three quotes: Home Depot, Lowes, and Redman Fencing. I choose Redman by referral from a family friend. Redman fencing was $780 LESS then Home Depot and $1340 LESS then Lowes. At the end of the day, I have a beautiful fence. In the week since the project was finished, I have had at least 50 compliments from my neighbors on the beauty of the fence (including the president of my HOA). **Update** I recently had an additional gate added to the back of my fence. My recent experience with Redman Fence was on par with the first. They were prompt, professional and very affordable. My calls were answered immediately and the installers came when they said they would. The gate looks great. I couldn't be happier with the service was provided. Since the fence was installed I have continually receive compliments on the look of the fence and the quality. After the experiences I have had, I would never consider anyone else to complete a fence for me. Redmans is undoubtedly the best in town.

Overall this was a good experience. I checked out various fence companies, and got three fence quotes. My next statement would normally be that Redmans was the most expensive quote, but I don't feel that is a truly fair expression of the details. Although it was the highest priced quote, the quality of the fence and the install was head and shoulders above that of some of my neighbors putting up fencing as well. My advice to someone searching for a fence would be to check out several companies, and do yourself a favor by at least meeting with Terry Redman for his presentation for an education of the materials and the installation process. He will come to you. It really is a different product then what you may be used to seeing. If you end up going in a different direction, you will at least be educated enough to make the best fence buying decision. If you do go with Redmans and are lucky enough to get Rob as your installer than you are in great shape, because he is totally going to take care of details that you don't even know that you need to take care of yet. Rob's service was off the charts, really detail oriented for a service industry that we tend to think of for not having that kind of mindset. In summary the service was outstanding, the quality of the product is higher than similar looking fences on my street. Is the price higher than I wanted to pay? Yes, but in my opinion the quality of the product and the customer service need to be considered before making a blanket price statement. When you look at my where my fence butts up to my neighbors the comparison becomes apparent, it is an overused cliche and I cringe to say it; but the analogy could be like comparing a higher end automobile to a value car. There is both a price difference and a quality difference to the two different rides. Like you I was recently shopping around too, hesitant to jump in at this price point but all of the positive reviews appear to be valid, and reviews dinging Redmans on price needs to be taken with a grain of salt in comparison to the product and the service.

The job was overall great. The two installers were very knowledgeable and experienced. They did a great job and consulted/advised when something came up and gave good advice. Great guys to work with. Great warranty. Gave their information to neighbor and would use again.

I met with Terry Redman for an estimate for installing an iron fence for my moms new home. He met me at the home, on time, and went over in detail everything about the installation, and any issues there might be as far as the grading on the lot. We then went to my home (which is down the street) where he did his presentation about the company, materials, and credentials. I was very impressed with his presentation, and especially the fact the fence was made to order. Also, the fence was made locally, here in the U.S.A. From beginning to end, Redman was in constant contact throughout the process. On the day or so before installation, I met with the installer, William. He was very professional, and again, explained everything in detail. His crew showed up on time, and took their time with the installtion, which took two days. I would rather have a job take two or three days, than a rush job looking mediocre in the end. We are very happy with the end result! The fence looks amazing, and I highly recommend Redman Fence if you are looking for a quality product and a quality job. Well done!
