Redman Fence

They shaved a bit off of the wood as it was hitting one of my pavers. There was no charge as they installed the gate and they gaurantee their work. The paver had actually risen up slightly, so it was not an issue with the gate, but the paver itself.

Tim and his crew did an OUTSTANDING JOB!!!! There were 3 guys and they do such an amazing job, that when it's finished it makes you look like you moved into a brand new house. The work is all done on sight and they take the time to do it right! I can't say enough about these guys, such an awesome job! THANK YOU! As far as pricing goes it cost us about $2200 for the first half and $3530 for the 2nd half. We have wonderful neighbors who were willing to split the cost of the section of fence that we both share on both sides so that helped out the overall cost tremendously but it is definitely worth every penny. Their wood fence has a 30 yr guarantee and I believe it will last longer than that. They do Angie's list discount and Military discount as well.

After researching Angie's List and contacting three fence providers - I visited the Redman location on N. Florida ave. That was Saturday. The following Monday I received a call from Terry the owner - as to scope of project. Terry even suggested one of his competitors because he thought his price might be too high. Moving forward, we met the following Saturday, Terry used his trusty iPad to show me examples of other projects, his insurance, his corporation, his capability to finance, etc., etc., etc., you get the message. He and his company have been in business for a very long time and take pride in their work. We agreed as to scope, which consisted of type of fencing, options, time frame and price. A small deposit locks you into a schedule commitment. Yesterday, basically a week after meeting with Terry, his crew performed the work. It looks great! I'm a project manager where I work - and have to deal with a lot of individuals who are not licensed, not experienced, who don't follow thru. I'm truly impressed when I connect with a company like Redman's who performs exceptionally well. From the telephone calls, text messages, e-mail confirmations (as to both previous projects photos, scope of work, schedule committments) to the follow-up call from Terry the day of the installation - with the proverbial question - "Are you happy with the work?" It has been a pleasure working with these guys. Highly recommend!

We hired Redman Fence to build a pergola behind our house as part of an overall update to our backyard. We initially worked with Terry to confirm the size, location and design of the pergola. Terry was very responsive, professional and open to any requests and suggestions that we had. Once the price and design was confirmed, Tim came out and coordinated the construction. The result is truly a work of art. Tim and his crew were very professional and genuinely seemed to enjoy their work. What we received was a very high quality and expertly constructed pergola that will be a fixture in our back patio. We could not be happier and would highly recommend Redman.

This is my second fence in the past 10 years with Redman fence. Even though I did not think that they had much room for improvement, they miraculously DID improve. They upgraded their product so that it looks better and lasts longer. Terry knows all about fences and the fence installers are professionals. They get along great, they are courteous and you can tell they enjoy and are proud of their work. I don't mind giving my money to this fence company! They can't be beat!

EXCELLENT! I have been happy with many of my service providers from Angie's List, but this was by far the best experience yet. We originally looked into Redman Fence because they did our neighbor's fence, and the outcome was a really beautiful fence. I looked Redman Fence up on Angie's List... and if you scroll through the list of reviews, it's never-ending pages of "A" grades. I couldn't find anything other than an A for pages and pages (I didn't go through all the pages, but I went through many, and never saw anything but "A"!). Terry's level of knowledge regarding the product and process was impressive. But, he's been doing this (owner/operator/sales) for 20+ years (if I remember correctly). He provided several options, including financing options, and made me feel incredibly comfortable with the entire project before we even hired them. The installers have been with the Terry almost as long as the business has been open, and their sense of pride around their work definitely shows. They were incredibly friendly, did an amazing job, and worked faster than I thought was humanly possible. They ripped out a jungle of plants (which was part of our estimate), removed the old fence, and installed the new fence in only 3 days. I thought it would have been a week-long effort, at least. They left the site clean, and the best part is, we have a beautiful new fence. This was one of the few house projects that I was excited about from start to finish, and that's because I was promised AND delivered a high quality product by a high quality company.

Terry (the owner) does a VERY thorough sales presentation. The guy clearly takes a lot of pride in what he does and he is incredibly knowledgeable. I like that he really stands behind his product. I could not be happier with the finished product. His installation team was fantastic. They were very nice, very professional and they genuinely cared about making me happy. For example, after finishing the installation on one side of the yard, I came out to take a look. I did not like how one of the posts at the gate had a big knot in it right by the handle. I asked the guys about it and they said they would sand it down and not to worry. Several hours later, I came out to take another look and they had replaced it! That's right, they UNinstalled a large portion, went and got me a new post (probably close to an hour round trip), and REinstalled it because they felt like sanding the post didn't solve the problem. At that point, I became a customer for life (although with the warranty on my new fence, I'll probably need to move before I call on them again!). Terry thinks his prices are really high, but he was actually slightly cheaper than one of the really popular south Tampa fence companies (and Terry's fence looks a thousand times better!). I have attached a photo of my fence next to my neighbor's fence. My neighbor is new construction (super high-end finishes). I tried to talk the builder into using Terry because our fences were being installed at the same time (by a South Tampa fence company that has been around for a very long time...the one that was a hair more expensive than Terry). The builder declined. Maybe it's pride of ownership, but I think my fence looks WAY nicer! Bottom line: there is no other fence company I would use!!

In 2003, the workers were prompt and professional. Installation was spread over two days. On the first day the posts went in and were set in concrete, and on the second day the rest of the fence went up. They fenced in three sides in my yard and lined everything up so it abutted the neighbor's fence, which covered the fourth side. Everything looked great and the workers left no mess behind at all. In 2011 I hired Redman Fence a second time, to fill in the fourth side of my yard. (The neighbor tore down their fence, leaving our shared property line open.) Again, it was a positive experience. While they were here, the workers checked the gates -- which were not part of the job that day -- and adjusted them so they opened and closed easier. I guess the wood had swollen or warped a bit in 10 years' time. There was no charge for the adjustment. I'd gladly hire Redman Fence again.

They were professional and knowledgeable. We did not end up going with the work though.

First, I was very impressed with my presentation from Terry Redman. He educated me on "fences" of which I realized I knew nothing about. The crew, Rob (who designs the layout and build of the fence), Mike and Brian, all extremely nice and professional. They explained every step as they went. Rob reviewed my property survey and located the property markers to ensure the fence was built on my side of the boundary abutting my neighbors. My property has a weird shape and had lots of trees. Seems like every hole they dug was another stump or big root. They handled removing them, cutting them away and disposing of them for me. My sprinkler system was broke in three places by a stump grinder company, but Rob had repaired all of them for me. Thank you Rob! After 7 days of hard work from the crew, I now have a beautiful vinyl privacy fence of which I have wanted since I bought the property 15 years ago. I had priced other fencing companies and Redman Fence came in the middle of the prices, so I was very pleased that I received quality workmanship at a fair price. I read others saying Redman is more expensive, but I did not find this to be true. My property was cleaned, they washed my fence and showed me how to work the gates and locks. Rob used his level all through the job to ensure a nice straight, clean look to the fence. My neighbors have all commented on my fence and already one of them is waiting for an estimate and has requested that Rob run her job as well. Thank you Terry, Rob, Mike and Brian for outstanding work. I am extremely happy and will refer you to anyone who asks. A+++++ work.

I actually contacted Terry about 6 months before we decided to go with him. He had an excellent presentation and gave us lots to think about. His quote was not the cheapest, but we felt that it did offer the best value. After lots of research, we felt like the extra money was well worth what we were getting from Terry in terms of both quality of service and product. The instillation crew was professional, punctual and did great work. We have had the fence now for 6 months and couldn't be happier. They did exactly as we asked and agreed upon. There was no room for improvement. Very impressed with the job and over all experience.

This was the second fence installation from Redman's. The first one lasted almost 20 years and I am hoping we get more time from the second. The first meeting with Terry was very informative. Mr. Redman was very attentive with my conversation and concerns and changes that I wanted with the installation of the new fence. He was through with the presentation of product and service the company is offering. Tim and his team, Chris and Dave were extremely professional, punctual and attentive to my questions during the installation. This team is truly a credit to Mr. Redman's company. At the completion of the project my yard was cleaner than when they arrived and that speaks very loudly. I am very pleased with the end product. I would following this fence installation recommend Redman's and their work. Terry has really done a great job with improving their customer/client interactions. All went very well, I met Terry Redman and was very specific on what I needed regarding the privacy fenceing. Terry came up with some very good suggestions, then came up with the price. Like others have said, Redman fence is not going to be the cheapest, but you will get what you pay for, and this is the second fence that Redman has constructed for me, and the first is nine years old and still going strong. Dave, Chris and Tim who performed the actual installation did a great job. These guys are not just fence installers, they are craftsman, and could not have been any nicer. Funny story, the fence was completed yesterday, and my wonderful neighbor (that the guys met) called code enforcement due to just being a real crappy neighbor (which is the reason for the fence in the first place). The Code Enforcement agent shows up today to follow up on the complaint, so I had my wife hand him the phone for a little chat. The agent told me that "this was one of the nicest fences that he has ever inspected, and the they did a real nice job, especially on the front gate". I told him thank you, and appologised for his time. He told me "no problem, and the no problem with the fence, it really looks great". Thanks guys, and great job..

Excellent - looks great! Very passionate about customer satisfaction and doing quality work. Experienced crew. Organized, focused, dedicated, quality materials, quality workmanship. Prepared the necessary paperwork to get approved by the Homeowner's Association. A bit more expensive than others but worth the difference. Excellent guarantee. First rate experience. You get what you pay for.

I contacted Mr. Redman because of the excellent reviews he has had on this site, but also because a close friend of mine told me that Mr. Redman had been recommended to him by word of mouth many years ago for the installation of a fence. My friend, who is exacting, was satisfied with the quality work that Mr. Redman did for him. I called Mr. Redman and we arranged to meet. He was punctual and courteous. We sat down and I told him that I wanted a swing gate that would operate with a gate operator powered by a solar panel. The operator had an extended range receiver which would enable me to open the gate using a remote control from the porch of my house 300 feet away. He provided me with photographs of his work, told me of his high expectations regarding quality materials and workmanship and explained the difference quality makes in the long run particularly with swing gates. He provided me with some literature published by companies that manufacture the commercial aluminum and the heavy duty gate operator that he recommended. He also recommended Bobby Schatzberg with whom he has worked extensively for the installation of the gate operator and solar panel. We made an appointment for me to see the similar gate and gate operator installed at his house. I saw how the gate operated and its pleasing appearance. Mr Redman carefully ascertained what I wanted for my property and provided me with a detailed drawing which he asked me to approve and initial. Nothing was left to chance and our communication was clear. I accepted his proposal and the parts were ordered and installed. When it was completed, Mr. Redman called me to ask if I was satisfied with the installation of the gate, and personally came to see and photograph it. I would use Mr. Redman again without hesitation and recommend him to anyone who is serious about quality.

My experience overall was great. All the other companies we looked at pretty much just gave me a quote. They only explained things to me when I asked them questions about their product. Terry was expert in his field and really taught me what to look for when choosing a fence then when it?s chosen, what quality really means. I knew that it would be an awesome fence before it was even installed. Then came the installation. Tim, Chris and Dave were incredible!! They installed our fence in a couple days ensuring we would have it up to enjoy our pool on the weekend. They were some of the friendliest individuals I?ve met and were also experts in explaining what they were doing and how to care for a wood fence. Also I don?t think they stopped smiling the entire job! Excellent work!! As for the materials they used nothing but the best. Now that it?s up I can notice the true quality of the materials and the workmanship. I have recommended them to all the neighbors that now have 1/3rd of my Redman fence and they have all commented on how great it looks. Thanks to the Redman Team!

Perfect, and done in less than a day. The fence looks great and I have already gotten some compliments from neighbors. My wife and I hope to put a deck in sometime in the next few years and we definetely want Redman Fence to do that job too. The guys that have come out to work on my fencing (both times) have been friendly, courteous, and topnotch craftsmen. I wish there were more contractors like this in Tampa.

It was a good experience and everything was fine.

I called Terry Redman to discuss his company installing our fence and his response time was terrific. And during the entire process, Terry kept us informed by phone calls and Emails so that we were always aware of what was happening. His communication skills are rare to find in the construction industry. Terry came to my house and using his I-Pad was able to show us many different designs and details about the proposed fence and Westech in general. He also showed us copies of every document we could expect to receive including our lifetime warranty. While at my table he drew up a preliminary quote, which having done my homework, I knew was fair for the quality of product we were purchasing. We gave him a small electronic deposit and he took copies of our surveys to prepare formal documents. By the next day we had both received formal written quotes along with detailed layouts and specifications. Terry had even prepared the documents we needed to present to our homeowners association for their approval. With his attention to detail, Terry made the entire process as easy and painless as possible. Two days later Terry?s foreman, William, came out to review the job with us and ask our opinions concerning potential installation questions such as possible layout options and stepdown styles based upon our specific yards. We found William to be very pleasant and thorough in his approach. He is a stickler for detail and a perfectionist when it comes to fence installation as he (and his entire team ? Robert, SeaRay, Chris and Randy) takes great pride in their work and the final product definitely shows the results of their efforts. The entire installation took only 3 days as William and his team will work until dark each day, including weekends if they are allowed to do so. I was very impressed with their work ethics and how seamlessly they work as a team. Part of their efficiency comes from their all having worked together for many years and part, I think, comes from the pride they take in their work. After William and SeaRay had laid out their string line, the first few holes were dug and the rest of the team (Robert, Chris and Randy) spread out along the line with some digging holes, others setting posts and still others erecting the beams and panels. During the entire time each man was watching the quality and commenting on minor improvements that could be made. As each section of fence was completed, Randy washed it down so that it was glistening in the sun. At the end of the project, every scrap of material was picked up and the yards were left in perfect condition. Redman Fence did what they said they would do and I would gladly use them again or recommend their work to others!

Terry had all of our HOA paperwork completed for us, when we submitted it and received approval to proceed, we called Terry the same night out of excitement and he got the ball rolling so fast that within ONE week the fence was completely installed. I thought it would take a month but boy was I wrong! Amazing from start to finish! I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you Terry, Arlene, and William!

I completely understand the value Redman Fence provides, and although I did not retain them for this particular project, I would definitely recommend them to a friend/family member shopping for fence work. They have a quality product, knowledge of the industry, a touch of class and a reputation for producing top-notch workmanship. Simply put, I just did not need a "BMW" fence for my heavily wooded back yard, when all I needed was a "Toyota" to accomplish what I set out to do (privacy vs aesthetics). I've still got your card, though, Terry, and will give you a call when/if we want to do something fancier in the front yard! :-)

The crew worked hard and steady for about a week to demo our old dilapidated fence and build new one. We have a 1920's Craftman bungalow with an unusual drip cap and skirt around its bottom. Redman's master carpenter did a great job designing a fence that compliments the house. You can see Redman's great attention to detail where the fence meets the house and without disturbing it's character or sacrificing privacy. The only snag during the process was during the demo. Our AC coil was damaged while the crew was removing the old fence nearby. While many contractors would have pointed fingers or refused to take responsibility, Redman did the right thing. I unfortunately can't say that about most contractors I've dealt with.

The Redman Fence team installed a beautiful new fence for our brand new home. This company is A+. I would use them again or recommend them to anyone. From my very first contact with them through the completion of the project they were excellent. Terry, the owner, does a great job making recommendations and helping you to identify exactly what you want/need in his initial presentation and keeps in touch with you throughout the job. The quality of the products used are first rate. The lead installer, William, was awesome. He kept me posted on the status of the job and delivery of the materials. He and his team worked until well after 8pm each evening and finished the job quickly. When we hit a snag with the placement of our sprinkler heads he came to us with possible solutions which was greatly appreciated instead of just stating the problem. The administrative staff, Arlene, was great too. Everyone was on the same page and new exactly what was going on with our project. The whole process was quick, efficient and seamless. We could not be happier with our fence or our experience with Redman.
