Buyer/Lexus Owner Beware!!!
Description of Work: While I have already submitted a report about my Lexus "Sales Department" experience, there was another additional item related to the auto service that I felt would be helpful to my neighbors in Tampa. When I had purchased my vehicle and drove it off the lot, there was a light on the dashboard that I discovered later was the low tire-pressure light. While the light disappeared after filling the tires with air, it came on again after almost two weeks. At the same time, I noticed that the front left tire had significantly less air in it than the other three. It took a very short period of time for me to realize that I was only filling the front left tire and not the others. When I expressed my concen to Ben Scharf, he shrugged off my concern and blamed my experience on the cold weather. Even when I explained to him that if that were the case, then all four tires would need to be inflated regularly, he refused to accept this response and still ignored my concern. He insisted that it was due to the weather and not to a problem with the tire. He even suggested to me several times that it was the spare donut in the trunk that was responsible for the low pressure alarm even though there was no electronic communication between the spare tire and the vehicle. Once again, as before, he showed no concern for service after the sale. Eventually, I was able to convince Lexus of Tampa Bay to take a look at my tires. However, I was told that there was nothing wrong. I insisted that there was, otherwise, I would not be filling my front driver side tire every two weeks. I decided to take my vehicle to another Lexus dealership in Georgia as I happened to be travelling there, and finally, I was taken seriously, and the excellent technician discovered the problem with the tire. For those who are curious, they had to replace the TPS fitting kit because the sensor gasket was leaking. Any way, this is a repair that any experienced technician could have and should have made. And the correct diagnosis would have been made if my concern was taken seriously. However, not one individual at Lexus of Tampa Bay did a thorough inspection of the tire and valve system. And when I continued to express my concern and reported to Ben Scharf and Lexus that I was continually needing to inflate the tire, I was completey ignored. This is not the service that I would have expected from my Lexus dealer. Obviously, I am still upset with my experience with Lexus of Tampa Bay and am still waiting for an apology, which I doubt will arrive any time soon. Fortunately, I do not have to dissuade my neighbors in Tampa to avoid this dealership as I think it has happened already due to the Toyota recall problems and issues with the accelerator that also involves the Lexus line of vehicles. I should also mention that I had a problem with the driver side window falling off the track. This is another known problem with the Lexus ES350 that when I reported it to the dealership, they did not disclose that they were aware of it being part of a campaign that needed to be repaired. Good luck my friends. If any one has had any experiences, positive or negative, with Lexus of Tampa Bay, I would like to hear about them as well.

I contacted Ann Lopatin of Lexus of Tampa Bay through the internet at AutoNation. We then met at the dealership. They didn't have exactly what I wanted, so Ann checked other Lexus dealers to see if they did, but none had it. She then checked to find out what cars were being shipped from Japan. Records showed the exact car I was looking for was already on its way to the United States. We negotiated a fair price for the car. I had pre-determined the Kelly Blue Book value of my trade-in, and I was happy to see I was given that amount. I put down a small deposit to hold the car. Three weeks later Ann called to say my car had arrived. When I went to pick up the car, she had filled it with gas and had it washed. All new Lexus' come with two pieces of Tuni luggage valued at $500.00, but they were out at that time. Ann had them delivered to my house a week later. She also sent me a beautiful silk orchid arrangement to Thank me. Ann got me exactly what I wanted. She was great!
Description of Work: I contacted Ann Lopatin through the internet at AutoNation. I received a response from her within fifteen minutes. I eventually met her at the dealership and purchased a 2006 Lexus ESS300 from her.
