Description of Work: We ordered 3 toilets from Home Depot. To get a beige color almost triples the price. Their process of notifying you when the special order has arrived is off. They emailed us letting us know that it was ready to pick up and we called them after we received the email to verify that it was ready and we were told yes. We went to home depot and they said they were not unpacking the truck until midnight. The process of notifying customers for special orders need review.

+ -1 morePlaced order for exterior door replacement. Paid $535.19 on 4/1/04 at store. Total waiting time from time of in house measurements about 3 weeks. The installer showed up with wrong door on 4/15 ready to install. We stopped installation at that point. The installer said the store did not have the door ordered and they gave him one the store had on hand. The next day I called the store to get refund since I did not have any confidence in store or installer at that point for refund. I had to talk to 5 different people explaining the same story over and over again. In short they sent me full circle to the original customer service who told me she could not authorize refund with managers approval. The manager had just spoken with me and gave his approval sent me back to her!!! I talked to manager again and he told me a different manager would have to approve it and that they would call me latter. At this point I have no door and no money refund. Unbelievable. Please let other beware.

carpet installation
+ -1 moreIm very upset with Home Depot. The floor specialist, Nick was not careful when listening to our requests. Hes very difficult to work with. He ended up get our address wrong (mixed up with old address). They hired a 3rd party company to do the installation work. Home Depot is a great store to shop for a wide selection of products at reasonable prices, however, I recommend against having them order large materials, supplies or having them do installation work. They hire the cheapest and poorest quality local 3rd- party vendors (to keep prices low, I assume) Not worth it.
