They are my car dealer. They are convenient to where I work. It is just half a mile from where I work. It is easy for me to drop the car off, go to work and come back to get it. The price is fair. They are able to do the job in one day. The quality of the work is good.

I sent an inquiry to Brandon Honda asking for information on a 2011 Honda Insight on Friday, April 29. Brandon Honda was selected for a couple of reasons, the first being that they had been awarded by Honda the very distinguished "Customer Distinction Award" meaning they were in the top 15% of all Honda dealerships in the country as told to us by Don Negri, Salesman for Honda. Next, the dealership was within 5 miles of our home, and finally, because there was an incentive program offered in the April 29 offering from Don Negri with 0.9% financing available to qualified buyers (my credit score was 816) for 36, 48 or 60 months. (See dealership for details.) This offer was available "through 5/02/11, again according to the offering sent from Brandon Honda at 4:00pm on the 29th of April. We set up an appointment for a test drive for Saturday, April 30 for early afternoon; and after the test drive we decided we wanted the car. All the paper work was completed and the credit checks were made which brought us to the Finance Manager, Mr. Billi Greer, who started presenting papers to be signed. Early on I saw the interest rate had been jacked up to 5.65% and we questioned Mr. Greer about it. He said that the 0.9% interest rate wasn't available anymore, even though May 2 was still a couple of days away, and that this rate higher rate was the one we'd be charged. I told him it was a deal killer at which point he made three trips back to a higher authority after which he offering us 2.99% and something off the purchase price. I never did figure out how it compared with the original offer; but, we accepted it. It's been close to two months now and I still have the nasty feeling that we got screwed. I did send a couple of e-mails to Don Negri with my complaints, not asking for anything, but that I was still angry with the treatment we received. He never responded; but, up until two weeks ago I was still getting e-mail from Don Negri asking when I was coming in for a test drive. Then I received an e-mail offering me $100 for referrals for friends and family, an offer I emphatically refused. There is a very applicable saying here: "Long after you forget what a person said or what a person did to you, you'll remember how the person made you feel". It also works when you substitute "person" with "company"! It is a real pity when one buys a product with which he is very pleased but has this horrible experience buying it.

I bought the car, it was kind of a demo car. It had 100-200 miles on it. I needed a car immediately. I noticed right away that the right side door didn't close appropriately. They told me that it wasn't an issue and that I wasn't closing it right. As I had more and more passengers, I noticed that there was a problem with the door. I had pin stripes removed, and in the sunlight you can see circular scratches where they removed the pin stripes. Now, the electronic key has stopped working. I went there and bought a battery and couldn't get the electronic key to open even with a screwdriver. Joe, in the service center, even said " Honda made the key so tight that you can't even open it." He tried it twice and took it in the back and the guy back there couldn't get it either. So, I am supposed to pay for another key because Honda didn't make the key right. Joe responded, " Brandon Honda should pay for you to have a new key?" I went and returned the battery since we couldn't change it and the parts girl agreed that she thought it was ridiculous that they wouldn't give me another key. I went back over and asked if I could get another key. When I bought the car they only gave me the one key and a valet. I asked them how many I was supposed to get and he said two. I am furious. Joe, in the service center lied and told me that they don't have a paging system to page Andy, the manager. I asked him several times to just get me another key and told him that if he didn't help me then I was going to write it up on Angie's List and Joe told me to go ahead.

They are thorough and it is the service that sells. He is honest and does not try to take advantage of you and do anything that is not required. They are professional and they will take you in immediately, and will charge you anything more than what the estimate was.
Description of Work: I have been taking my cars to Brandon Honda since 1988. The last time I took my car to him was 2 months ago and will be taking back because I did not put the air bag in.

Went to this business based on recommendations from AAA and Angie's List. On the day of purchase, we did not plan on buying a vehicle, only doing some research, but they gave us such a good deal that we bought the vehicle on the same day. We initially met with Dan Moser who is one of the managers and he had Joe Francisco test drive a vehicle with us. After we drove the vehicle, I figured that the high pressure sales pitch and the "car sales games" would begin but we found that not to be the case. I had done some homework to know what incentives were available and that helped the negotiation process along very quickly. Dan actually met the price that we were willing to pay without much going back and forth. We were in and out of the showroom with a new vehicle in less than 5 hours which I consider to be very quick. Even our required visit with the finance director, Tim Ousley, went very smoothly and was painless.

It was horrible...exactly what you expect from a car dealership experience. We called the dealership about a certified used Odyssey that was just what we were looking for. On the phone, the salesman offered an even lower price than what was listed on the web site. We said we would come in to see the car the next day. We called before going and the salesman said he wouldn't be in, but gave us the name of another salesman who would be looking for us. We drove all the way from St. Pete to Brandon with our 3 year old and 2 week old baby! Within 2 minutes of arriving, the salesman told us that the car we were seeking had been sold! We were furious. Then he tried to sell us on some other Odysseys that were not at all what we were looking for - including one that was cloth interior that he said they would re-upholster to leather for us (Uh, no, that's not an EX-L). The old bait and switch, very pushy salespeople. A miserable experience and maddening overall.

I did a lot of research on the Element (a great car BTW) and used the internet to get the best price. After several emails from multiple dealers Stuart and I spoke on the phone. He asked that I give him a chance to earn my business. As corny as it sounded, Stuart did more than anyone else to get me the car for the price I wanted to pay. No bait and switch, a good price on my trade. He let me know what he could and could not do - no high pressure from the manager nonsense. He presented a way to meet my price by changing the lease terms 48 instead of 36 and even drove 45 minutes himself to get the color I wanted for my wife. I am not saying he gives cars away, you still need to negotiate your best deal, but it was a great experience. It was nice to see an honest car dealer.
