Showed up on time.  The guys explained everything thoroughly.  I was happy with everything & will be using their service for many years to come. 

The only thing I'm not sure about is the gift card promotion they are running.  You have to send in a cashier's check or money order of $4.95 to an outside vendor for the shipping & handling of the gift card.  I don't understand why my check wouldn't be good enough-It all feels a little "sketchy".  I would have gotten their service even without this promo, so I'm not worried.  It just seems a little weird.

I do not want any credits and the termination fee over $1200. They are not providing the service that I am paying for. The alarm has went down twice already for days at a time. The rep that was there the first time informed me that new installs are more important than repairing the system. I was supposed to have carbon monoxide detectors, and fire. I do not have either I only have burglary but I am paying for all of them. They charged me $257.00 to install the alarm system. They provided to me in writing to give to my insurance company that they provided me with all three services.

"A member of our corporate escalations team has spoken with the customer regarding this concern on 8/28/15. In speaking with the customer, she advised per the contract, the customer only has burglar alarm monitoring. Additionally, ADT listened to the call between the customer and the sales rep and there was no offer or discussion pertaining to adding fire/smoke/carbon devices. The customer was also advised that the certificate of insurance for her insurance company was incorrect. ADT has offered to provide a correct certificate associated with her contract. The customer will be held accountable for early contract termination charges that have been assessed on her account."

I have had ADT for years and my interaction with them is maybe once a month when I pay the bill. I have had them for about 4 years. I have always had very good service with them and their prices are very competitive. ADT purchased the people that I had before them so I kind of got them by default. I am happy with the service I have had with them. To a neighbor, family member or a friend, I would tell them that I happy with the customer service that I have had. The prices are fairly reasonable and always have had good customer service with them. They don't do the home automation but I was thinking about it which is why I was researching them.

We had a contact go bad on the door and we don't pay for their wire maintenance or whatever. These companies have extra charges to maintain the wiring, we never but those things and we didn't have one with ADT and we had this one contact that went bad so the alarm kept going on which is bad because the police came out and it was terrible. We bypassed the one and my husband said he wanted them to come out and replace this contact. They said it would be $150 for the service call. The alarm was in my name and I called them, I said we want to cancel the service because there are other companies out there that will come and hook up your contacts and everything and not charge you anything for it. They ended up coming out and replacing the contact, doing all that for nothing so we stayed with them. We pay them for a monthly monitoring. It was kind of a non-pleasant experience. They're very reliable though. They're probably not the cheapest.

They were very quick to react. They've always been very good anytime we contact them or they contact us. I would say they are an and ldquo;Aand rdquo; compared to everyone else.

I have had them ever since I had the security system. They are regular. They are reliable. It is wireless and it is on the telephone line so if somebody cuts the telephone line they can get into the house. I don't have any price from somebody else so for me it is okay and I haven't compared it with anybody else.

When I called to cancel my service, no one ever told me that I needed to write a letter in on business stationary to request the cancellation.

I scheduled for the 27th, someone just showed up on the 18th to disconnect. I asked for a receipt and he couldn't give me anything.

They left everything in the building, stating that it was for potential future use.

I have no proof that service has been discontinued. I received a bill the following month. They said I had to pay an extra year of service because I was cancelling a year ahead of time. I asked for a copy of the contract and they said no, I already had it.
I cancelled because of a surgery.
I sent them two separate letters from my doctors. They sent my bill to collections.
The phone/fax numbers they gave me to fax my information over to did not work.

I sent in the payment because I do not need any more aggravation.

At the end of this year (February), apparently, I will be going on auto renewal so I will have to call and cancel that as well.

Our home was hit by lightning. We called ADT to come out and survey the damage on our system. The tech gave us a service ticket for what needed to be done and returned the following week to make the necessary repairs. He told my husband it would be a 4-hour job. We then had my parents to come and be there as we could not take off another day of work for more home repairs due to the lightning strike. The tech repaired the system and charged our card over $600. We were assured we would be emailed a receipt to submit to our insurance. When I returned home that evening, a receipt still hadn't been received and when we set the alarm to and quot;stayand quot; the motion sensor was triggered and the alarm went off. After waking up my children and being on the phone with ADT for 20+ minutes, I was told that the system had been programmed incorrectly. They would send the tech back on another day - they assured us this would be free of charge. Due to our work schedules, we had to wait another week for the repair to be made. The second tech, Damon, was pleasant and confirmed that the original tech had indeed not programmed the system correctly. I also inquired of him regarding our receipt, that we still had not received, and he personally called into the home office to again request the receipt. He assured me the home office would email it to me. The system now works as it should. However, the and quot;receiptand quot; that was emailed was for the return visit - that was of no charge - and it was simply a screen shot of someone's computer, not an actual receipt. I have called corporate to try and get help only to be referred back to the local branch office. I'm truly baffled as to why a company as large and well known as ADT cannot provide a simple receipt to its customer. So, after nearly two weeks since the payment my insurance claim is still on hold as I wait to hear back from ADT.
I honestly have no issue with the monitoring of my system. The techs were professional and friendly - though some obviously more capable than others. Administratively on the local level they are lacking in a HUGE way.

Originally I signed up for a 3 year plan for $44.69/month but then I changed my mind and switched it to a 1 year plan for 36.37/month. At the end of the year they continued charging me for several months. When I contacted them they said they only had the 3 year contract on file and would continue charging me. I contacted them on March 10, 2010 and they never responded. Since then, I have also sent a letter to them on August 4, 2011 and they have not contacted me in regards to this issue still. They have not followed through with me.

I recently had a system installed and was double billed for the installation. on three seperate days I called the 800 number shown for billing questions, and they said they couldnt help and that I had contact the local office. They tried to connect me to the local office but count not reach anyone at that office. Even when I got the supervisor at the billing office, no one could get through to the local office to resolve the issue. And the billing office wont make the change without approval from the local office., but they spent plenty of time arguing with me as to why it wasn't a mistace.
When I finally got in touch with the local sales rep, he knew right away it was a simple error.
Unfortunately by thistime I wasted hours of my time trying to resolve this issue,
It is sad tht the installation tech and trhe local sales rep were very professional and nice, but thier billing and and quot;customer serviceand quot; people have made this whole experience awful.

We've been happy with them. We did not pay anything because it was part of our contract. They've always been there when we've needed them and they are very prompt. We called and told them that we were having a problem and they knew it too because they get a signal when the battery is low. They arranged for a day, came out and installed it.

Have had service with them for many years (including the maintenance contract). The techs are very professional. However the service contract is useless if the system develops a major problem. They pick and choose what will be covered. Fortunately I was not under a long term contract, so I was able to cancel without a major financial penalty. If you are under a multi year contract the cancellation penalties are astronomical.
