Description of Work: This was the one free annual checkup I was entitled to as the purchaser of a complete heating & A/C system (in April 2013). I must pay for future checkups. I've signed up for a service plan that gives me a discount.

Description of Work: These guys are totally awesome . Showed up on time. Pulled the old unit out , super cleaned the ducts . Checked all the lines for air leaks covered any they found . Placed my new Nest thermostat then showed me how to use it and connected it to my phone . A++++

Description of Work: Let me say that out original AC caught on fire a few months (July 2000) after we moved in. The company responded quickly and installed a new Carrier HVAC/heat pump. I did feel that the service man didn't offer much in the line of educating us on our options and I simply trusted them that it was the right choice., not knowing much about FL summers. At that time we were just happy to have Ac up and running! They were also very helpful with the insurance adjuster. since Barineau's had done a routine check prior to this and one of their young techs said they may have actually done something to compromise the old unit. I give them a B+ in 2000. We did sign up for the bi-annual check ups. But here's where I felt more a lack of information from the tech after each completion. Forgive me for not having the exact date and cost of their last visit which was the most unsatisfactory. I had been repairing holes in the bathroom drywall that the plumbers had left and noticed cold AC air was rushing out from inside the walls!!! By the time the tech arrived for the scheduled check-up I had finished the drywall but explained the problem to him, saying I suspected a duct leak in the attic. All he said was, "Well, that's not a good thing." Seemed he was through with the visit and I was on my own. I did not renew the spring/fall checks. Sometime later I went to their website and complained about this but did not receive any reply. For this reason I can't recommend this business. The replacement unit is now not working and I'm online trying to figure out what to do.

Description of Work: Replaced condenser and thermostat this trip. Replaced compressor a couple of months ago. Both in my rental unit. They also do twice a year tune up on my home units
