I purchased a deal of the day coupon for a garage door tune up and "silencer" package. The company rep. was punctual, polite, and professional. He took one look at my garage door and explained that the door was in such bad shape that it needed to be replaced. Since that meant that he "lost business" because he didn't sell or install new doors, I was impressed. I also got my money back for the deal of the day that I couldn't use. How cool is that!

I was having trouble with the garage door sensors. The door was coming up after closing or not closing at all. I looked for Angie's suggestions and decided to use Precision Doors.

I wound up deciding to to go with new gargae door opener as tech told me I needed new board for my old one, based on cost of board and the fact the guy was here I went with the new unit. I just think I could have gotten better price on new unit.

My experience with Precision Door Service was great from the initial service call to the office, to the job being completed 3 hours later. Luis the technician was courteous and efficient and completed the work in short order. My garage door was fully operational again in less than an hour. I would recommend this company to any-one who needs fast efficient service at an affordable price.

The garage door couldn't open due to the broken spring. We called and the guy came quickly. He replaced the spring. Then, he started to tell us that the rollers need to be replacing (even rollers works fine, only make sounds). After replaced the rollers, we thought it would be over, he then recommended us also replace the rubber. Of course, we said no this time. Next day, our garage door couldn't open again!! We called the company to do the follow up. This time, the company send the different guy, he quickly identify the problem that was from the safety sensors. Instead of pursing us to replace the safety sensors like first guy would do, he fixed it and educated us what to look for if thing likes this happens again. After that, he also fixed our rubber. I am disappointed that the first guy wanted us to replace so many parts after learning that those could be fixed? We decided to use this company because it has a very good rating. But, we felt cheated. One rotten apple spoils the barrel. We won?t call back for another service again!

Courteous and knowledgeable technician. I had purchased two (2) door tune-ups including replacement of the rollers for $99 each, but I knew I needed a replacement spring soon for one of the doors. I was given a reasonable price for the work performed, and it was done quickly and professionally.

The tuneup and inspection were offered as an Angie's List Big Deal. I knew at the time that the door had issues beyond what was covered by the tuneup, so I had decided ahead of time that I would follow through with any repairs identified as safety issues. In years past, I had had a garage door fall suddenly, and did not want to repeat that experience! I was also unhappy with the aging garage door opener that was in place, mostly because it was getting very noisy. After purchasing the tuneup, they contacted me promptly and set up an appointment right away. The technician arrived right on time. Before getting to work, he confirmed my understanding of what was and was not covered by the special (which was exactly as printed). After he inspected it, he discussed the issues he found, including the safety issues, as I suspected. He also discussed options with respect to replacing the opener. He described the basic types of openers available, and indicated that they only carry one type (belt drive), which happens to be both the most expensive and the quietest. He gave me estimates for him to complete the work with or without replacing the opener, and gave me ballpark prices for getting the other types of openers elsewhere. I authorized him to complete the repairs and he got to work right away. While he was working, I went inside and did some quick research on the opener types. This research confirmed what he said, including ballpark prices. I decided to go ahead and have him install the high end model they carry. He completed the work very promptly and then gave me instructions on the proper operation of the new opener. I was absolutely astonished at how quiet it is! A couple weeks ago, we came home and were surprised to find that the door did not open. I called Precision Door first thing the next morning, and they arranged to have the technician come out the same day. The same individual as before came out and quickly diagnosed the problem as a loose connection on one of the wires, which he tightened down. He took full responsibility for not getting it right the first time and was very apologetic. Throughout the process, I found everyone I dealt with to very highly professional and courteous. They clearly take pride in their work and are focused on having genuinely satisfied customers.

It turned out perfectly. My door goes up and down so smoothly now and is as quiet as a mouse. He did a very good job!

I needed to get the two torsion springs replaced on my garage door, so I gave Precision a call. Over the phone they said that the springs range from $88 to $150 each, and if I installed with them they would wave the $65 fee, so I went ahead and called them. They arrived very quickly within two hours. The technician then tells me its going to be $150 a spring saying thats what my door needs. He also asked me to replace extra items which I agreed to. So the job ended up being $500. Their markup on parts are high, so be careful. I did get a 5 year warranty on parts and labor. Before I call them next time, I will try to get more estimates. Do the same.

Arrived on time, company representative very knowledgeable and completed the work in about an hour.

Original purchase was an Angie's List "Garage Door Tune Up Special for $99." Technician on site up-sold us for an additional $340. of "needed work" (2 torsion springs, cables, etc). Also tried to additionally up-sell for another $130. which we turned down. Thirty days later, on 10/16/2012, garage door would not close. New responding technician adjusted opener tension (said maybe wasn't set strong enough for the new springs). 1-1/2 weks later, on 10/26/2012, garage door opener stopped working. New technician stated gears were now broken... I advised him that I wopuld have any additional work done by another company. Overall this was a completely disgusting service experience and I would not, under any circumstances, recommend this company to anyone - not even my "worst enemy"!

Purchased Angie's $99 garage door tune-up & silencing package because door was making scary popping noises when opening and closing. Called for appt. and they were ablle to schedule for next business day with 2 hour window. Ryan called about 15 minutes into the window and said he would arrive in about 10 minutes. Ryan immediately showed me that the opener had actually cracked and was ripping away the vertical post on the center of the door (apparently called the "style".) He offered 2 options: he could install a reinforcing bracket and also recommended replacing the springs, saying the forces caused by normal wear that had caused the style to break had probably also overtaxed the springs (which seemed reasonable) with a 5-year guarantee. Or he could do a full rebuild of the door, replacing the end bearings and some other stuff with a lifetime guarantee, for about $200 more. He made it clear that the lower cost option would fix the current visible problems and did not unreasonably pressure me to purchase the full rebuild. I elected to go with the present repairs, which were completed in about an hour. Total cost including the $99 Angie's deal was $387. Ryan was professional at all times. Work appears to have been done correctly, and door is much quieter.

The service quieted our very noisy garage door. Very happy with the service.

It turned out that my garage door was in such bad shape that a tune up would have done little, if any good. I ended up buying a whole new door and had them install it. The job went very well despite the fact that it wasn't what I expected. I would highly recommend this company.

I went to open my garage door and it would only open approximately 12". I called Precision Door Service and they came out within a few hours. At first, I thought it was the Garage door opener but then I saw the broken spring above the garage door. When the technician Ryan came to my home he was very professional, pleasant and friendly. He was also very knowledgeable and explained the broken springs, worn roller and freyed cables and what need to be done to fix the problem. He gave me 2 options and both prices. He also explained the Lifetime Warranty and the 1 Year Warranty. I told him just fix it all. He left the garage in the same shape as he found it. Whatever he moved he put back. I was very pleased with their quality and workmanship and would highly recommend Precision and Ryan . I would definately use them again.

They were prompt, they responded nicely. I bought two garage door openers additionally that actually did not work and they said they would return my money but still haven't.

Technician assessed the door and told me that it wasn't the rollers that were making so much noise. It was the door itself. It had been backed into by the previous owner making the garage door buckle. The tech told me the rollers wouldn't help and that I needed a new door. He didn't charge me for the service call even though he had driven out to the west side of town. He was very nice and knowledgeable. I appreciate him not wasting my money. I'll be purchasing a new garage door from them.

Ryan, Precision's Technician, showed up on time, listened to my assessment of problems with my garage door. He then completed the Angie's List Tune with Silencing Package - a great bargain. Additionally he adjusted the physical placement od the door. It is now a tight fit. No more opening big enough for a squirrel and rain to come in. As a result of his inspection he discovered the door was dangerously (my opinion) out of balance so he replaced the spring and steel center bearing. Ryan was well spoken, clean cut, courteous, and professional.

Once I decided who to call, Precision was on thier way. They were on time and were on site quickly. The door spring had originally broken, but the service tech suggested I replace the steel rolers with new nylon rollers. I agreed and he installed new springs and all new rollers. He also adjusted the door and the electric door opener properly. That door has never been that quiet!
