They gave a really good quote so I made an appointment just before the holidays and they were able to schedule a cleaning of our 2 chimneys. Herschel was very professional, thorough, detailed and left the house immaculate when he was done.

The service provider also took time to show me, a fire newbie, how and when to open and close the chimney so I would feel confident in using it for the first time!

Aabrams Chimney Service arrived on it and did a thorough evaluation of our chimney. The checked both the bottom and top (had to access our roof to do so), and then took the time to show us how to properly and safely use a chimney. He also showed us how to properly clean a chimney after its use. If I was smart, I would have videoed our conversation to remember all the specifics!

They said that they would give me a quote for chimney repair, I followed up once, but never did get the quote. I have a steeply pitched roof which they were not equipped to work on, so they said that they would involve another company. If they didn't want to deal with it they should have told me rather than leave me hanging. I was fine with the work they did do.

The inspection went well. My husband inspected it before we had our first fire. It was not spotless, but was not that dirty to begin with. The technician found some cracks in the back of the hearth. He gave us options on to fix that in the future. They were easy to schedule with and he showed up on time. He kept everything clean during the work. He did a great job and I was pleased with the service.

I originally called Aabrams to clean out my chimney which had not been done for years. I called and had a return call within the day and an appointment set for the day after Thanksgiving. Herschel was a great guy, although he arrived an hour late, it was worth it. He was very professional and efficient. He cleaned the fireplace extremely well and explained what he was doing. He also inspected the fireplace and chimney cap. He gave me an estimate that seemed very reasonable. I actually double checked the cost with a few other sources and told it was a good price. They called me back the next day to schedule the repairs and were back out to my house a few days later. The walls of my fireplace needed replaced as they were cracked and a fire hazard. The chimney cap also needed replaced. Bernard showed up for the repairs and was very professional and efficient. He did all the repairs and was cleaned up so that you could not tell anyone even worked on the fireplace. I would definitely recommend this company and would call them again for any problems with my fireplace. I was very happy that they were so knowledgeable as unknown to me, I had a fire hazard with the cracked fireplace walls.

Everyone was so nice. They made a few suggestions and fixed my vent connection. They also will send me an email in 2 years as a reminder to have the vent cleaned again. I will definitely see them in 2 years.

I purchased a big deal coupon for this company. It worked out very good. They were very good. They were very nice people. They were out within a week of purchasing the coupon.

I called on a Tuesday and was scheduled for service on Wednesday afternoon! Herschel arrived within the time window that was planned and was in uniform (an embroidered shirt) and was very professional. He got to work right away and explained everything as he went along. The dryer now dries in about half the previous time, and it's been nice to enjoy the fireplace on cold nights with the security of knowing that it's safe to use. Herschel pointed out a crack inside the fireplace, but was not alarmist about it - he mentioned that it didn't need to be repaired right away and suggested that it be done next season. I was very happy with the service and would use them again in the future.

The worker arrived and set up his equipment for the chimney work. He brought in pads to protect the area around the fireplace. He checked the flue and then used brushes to clean the chimney. He cleaned up with a vacuum and also explained some areas in the firebrick that we needed to watch in the future. He then went onto the roof and checked the chimney and cap before having us sign that the work was completed.

It has been so long since I had this done that I don't remember when or what they did. I don't know if the service was good or bad but Angie's List won't stop nagging me to do a review so here it is. Reviews should be optional. Do not use anything I have entered in this review to judge this company. I am just doing it to get Angie's List off my back.

i forgot all about the special i bought and by the time i rememered it was expired. so i didnt get my chimmney sweep and clean but i out 85 dollars too. i guess i will contact again and pay the full price this time since it was my fault for forgetting.

Service was provided punctually. Quality of work and professionalism was excellent. Work was a little more expensive than we anticipated, but to have the work done in a quality manner and to expectations was worth the extra money.

Awesome. Called before to let us know they would be early and did a great job. Told us about repairs that needed to be made that they found and we didn't even know about. Very polite and helpful. Definitely recommend.

He alsochecked the chimney stack in the attic and took pictures which showed that a previous workman had dented the support (as I had suspected). After a full inspection we agreed they would return (11-6-13) to fix the problem. Very reliable, very professional, very clean (for such a dirty job) and the price is reasonable.
