After discussing the problem with several exterminators, I decided Mr. Kahn had a sensible approach to the termite problem in the joists of my basement. He clearly discussed the options and explained the costs and benefits of various types of treatments. I took his recommendation as it is similar to my past experience with another house. I obviously can���t comment on the long-term effectiveness but his work gives me confidence. I'd use him again.

Shawn called me immediately after I put in the request on momeadvisor. He told me all of the steps to get rid of our bird mite problem caused by an abandoned pigeon nest under an A/C unit. He seemed very knowledgeable about the problem and reassured me that it could be taken care of quickly. Shawn listed each chemical he would use and advised me to call our pediatrician since there were children in the home. He gave me a quote with a breakdown for each step of the service. The next day Shawn called me before he was on his way and arrived promptly. He went back over the procedure with me and got to work. I can't believe how quickly he got the A/C unit out of the window and removed the bird nest (with a dead pigeon in it!). He sanitized the window sill and fumigated the A/C unit, replacing it after. He then got to work on my daughter's bedroom and bathroom. I was sure the job would take him a couple of hours, but he was done in just over 60 minutes. He advised us that the smell of the pesticide would abate in a few hours and it did. He even left the jug of pesticide behind because there was about 2 cups of fluid left and it could be used safely for any spot problems (ants, roaches). Shawn is a very friendly guy and easy to talk to. He answered all of my questions patiently and professionally. The bill was exactly what he quoted, and he refused to take a tip. I will not hesitate to call Universal in the future should we have any other issues.
