South Florida Fabrication and Fencing

Let me begin by saying this was not an easy job from the start. We are located on a corner and needed special permit from MDC to proceed with fence. We contacted Tony in May for estimate and although he was not the lowest quote we received, decided to go with him because of his professionalism and good reviews on Angie's list. We waited and WAITED until with much to do we finally received out permit from the county and within days, Tony came out and started work which again was not an easy job since we have lots of utility cable and water mains running through yard. He worked with us to make sure that after months of waiting for a fence, we had the fence we wanted. His crew was extremely professional and polite and finished the work in one day. It was a long time coming but we are extremely happy with our fence and service we received from Tony and his crew. Would highly recommend to anyone with my eyes closed.

The owner, Tony, was the point of contact and was personally involved in the entire project: obtaining permits, installation, and several stages of inspections. He navigated difficult adjustments in installation to provide functionality and professional appearance while meeting the inspector's criteria and requests to insure installation was up to code. He was excellent to work with, very personable, and adjusted his schedule to meet with me after work hours to follow-up on the progress of the job. My highest recommendation.

Everything went great. Tony, the owner came out to inspect the property so he could give us an estimate. He was punctual and gave us a written estimate that turned out be the amount ultimately billed. I found Tony to be honest, professional, and a very nice person. His work crew came out as scheduled and completed the fence in 2 days. All materials were to code. If you are going to put-up a fence this is your guy. Great guy, fantastic crew, and outstanding workmanship. I highly recommend him.

Extremely pleased with Tony and his crew! From my first phone call which was returned within an hour and appointment scheduled., day of the appointment I received a call confirming. Tony was on time, answered my questions and we scheduled the job. I had several questions come up before the job and Tony answered them immediately. Easy to get a hold of. The day of the job his crew came in on time, and busted their butts working in the hot July sun working a very long hot day. If I had more to do I would definitely call them again- no question.

I contacted Tony and he answered right away. I received a quote the next day and the job was done on time and professionally. Tony takes care of the permits and he inspects the job site while his guys are doing the job. His guys are on time and they are very hard working. My fence looks great.

It went well - Tony is was pretty good and responsive - however it took some work on my part to ensure his workers did a decent job. In fact his foreman used a chainsaw to trim the wood boards leaving edges jagged - Tony came out and replaced the boards that were incorrect. There are some minor installation issues but nothing to be too picky about. In the end I would use again however with alot of supervision - which is pretty much the issue with all services today

Totally unreliable. I can't even tell you about his work because he doesn't answer phone calls or messages. Furthermore, the answering system is horrible - you have to listen to this long drawn out message then you land up at the beginning of the message if you press the wrong number. It doesn't make a difference because no one calls you back anyways. TERRIBLE customer service.

Early on the week of June 15th, 2015, I contacted Julio to request the installation of a wooden fence between one of my neighbors' house and my house. Julio agreed to visit my house and survey the area requested for the fence installation. Julio called me back after he surveyed the area and suggested that he would prefer not to do it by implying that it wasn't a big job for his men. I asked him to please assist me because I needed to get my house prepared for the weekend and I even offered to have the linked-fence removed for him at no discount cost to his job. He agreed and promised to call me the very next day with the new budget and day to do the job. The next day I waited all day for Tony's phone call and the call never came in. I then called Tony twice and left him a message asking him to please contact me and let me know if he could do the job or not so that I can look into other options. I waited two days and Tony never called me. Due to his lack of professionalism and disrespect to return my phone calls, at least with a text message, I was not able to resolve a pressing issue at my house. It is now clear to me that Tony's and the company he represents are only interested in the 'big' jobs and discriminate the small jobs. Even worst, mislead the customers and waist valuable time.

I own two homes and Tony Iglesias did the fences on both of them, one in 2008 and the latest one in June of 2015. I chose South Florida Fabrication and Fencing because of the numerous things they do the ?right? way. In the end, I have two fences that are properly installed, plumb and level. All work and supplies meet the most stringent Dade County Codes. Here's a list of just a few of the things Tony did ?right? as opposed to othercontractors in the area. His license number was prominently displayed on his vehicles and business card. I had no problems obtaining his proof of insurance before signing. He asked for no money up front except for the permit and permit runner fees. Before commencing work, he had the underground location companies mark the location of utility and gas lines. As it turned out, his latest fence had to cross gas lines at two points. Not following this simple requirement could have been a disaster. During the job, I checked out the supplies the installer was using. His crew used Miami-Dade County approved exterior connectors and treated lumber. Good communication with a contractor is everything. Tony is fluent in both English and Spanish. That helped a great deal with the neighbors who spoke only Spanish. No only was I happy with the job, but so were my neighbors.

We called to get an estimate. They returned our call promptly and came out right away to make an estimate. The price was good. We scheduled an appointment to have the fence put in. We had to work with our neighbor's schedule who has a dog that she lets out in the yard. So FL Fabrication and Fencing put the fence in quickly. Great job. Would call them again.

100% recommend this company. After obtaining quotes from quite a few other companies, I was most impressed with South Florida Fabrication and Fencing. Their pricing was competitive and Tony was extremely professional, knowledgable and helpful. He took the time to offer recommendations and explain the process. He came out to our house on a few occasions and was on time every time. Do not hesitate to do business with this company. I am recommending them to everyone I know.

Working with Tony and his team was great. Tony was always prompt for scheduled appointments AND called if he was going to be late. Tony came out and did the measurements, talked about the options, reviewed the permitting and inspection process and covered how the schedule would go. His pricing was on par with the other quotes that we obtained. What really made us choose him were the reviews and how much more straight forward he was about the whole thing. The other guys gave us long stories on how bad the permit process would be and to plan for long delays. Either those guys were looking to add more on later to the cost or Tony really knows how to do the process right. We had the permit 4 days after submission and work was done the next week. We had the old one removed and new hole dug in a day. Next day they set the footings and build the fence. His guys stayed late the last day to finish the whole job so that it was complete. Tony was good about following up, making sure we were happy with the work and even make a couple of fixes that we spotted. Overall, we are really happy with the fence and the work. Our neighbors have commented on how good it looks and quickly it was done.

Went as planned. Took some time between estimate and installation, but quote was given before holidays. Project went smoothly. Tony was at site to oversee, using his years of expertise to perfect the installation. The land is very uneven, bit Tony and his crew did a great job ensuring fence is strong and level. Fence is beautiful, changing the entire atmosphere! Tony and crew are punctual and finished in estimated time frame. Crew is respectful and professional.

We are extremely happy with the fence that Tony and his crew installed at our house. After calling numerous companies and getting many quotes, we felt the most comfortable with Tony and South Florida Fabrication and Fencing. They came when they said they would and we have no complaints. Permits took a bit longer than expected, but that was not their fault. Our lot was a little difficult, with numerous trees, and they were able to accommodate all of our requests. I definitely recommend Tony and his group at South Florida Fabrication and Fencing.

I asked for a quote for my fence. Tony came out to my house, and I scheduled my day around meeting with him. He promised to get me a quote a couple days later. He never did. Two weeks later, I emailed him to follow up. He didn't respond. A week later I followed up again. No response.

We got about 5 quotes and they were all pretty much around the same price. We decided to go with Tony because he made us feel the most comfortable with his knowledge and his timeline. We gave him our down payment once we agreed and then the rest after installation. Once we did that, he pulled the necessary permits and we were ready to go. His guys came in and did a great job - we barely even noticed they were here. They took down the old fence and put up our new one in about 2 days. Our fence came out great. Tony is very attentive and trustworthy - i would definitely recommend him to anyone that needs a fence.

David came out today to do an estimate for me. He advised of price and said he could do the job today since he was here already. After verifying the price with Pnina, we were able to get our fence completely rebuilt and painted. The homeowners association came by and said the fence was acceptable and was in excellent condition.

Tony was very attentive from the start. Came to do the estimate on time and had quote to me in a timely manner. We were in a time crunch to get the fence installed before the end of december and we decided to use him right after thanksgiving. He was able to collect everything from us to pull the permit and get the job done in less than 1 week. He was very good at keeping in touch with us after the job was done in regard to the inspection. We were so happy with the work my parents wanted to hire him but unfortunately he does not do work where they live.

Tony and his crew did an excellent job on the removal and installation of the new wood fence. I could not be happier with the product and price.

We obtained initial information about the company from Angie's List. We contacted Tony Iglesias, the owner, requesting an estimate for our fence job and appointment was made for 2 days later. Approximately an hour before the appointment Tony called and inquired if he could stop by earlier since his other appointments had already been completed. Of course we said yes. We walked around the property and discussed what exactly we wanted as he took measurements. After that we sat down and discussed the exact details with him making some recommendations regarding the design and shape of the ornamental aluminum gates. We asked for an estimate that was for the basic fence installation and some additional estimates for possible add-ons to the original estimate. Tony said that he would email an estimate in a few days. Approximately 3 weeks later we received an estimate. Prior to receiving the estimate we had decided that in addition to the add-on estimates to be included we wanted to add additional 65 linear feet of inside panel boards. This back and forth and our changing the description of the work to be provided definitely slowed down the contracting procedure. During this time Tony never complained about anything regarding changes and this was just the estimate phase only. We had not spent a penny but he had invested a lot of his time to provide the information that we had requested and the additional estimates for the work. We finally signed the contract for the fence installation the first week of June and provided an initial deposit for the permit and permit runner. Because of the time it takes to obtain a permit, our previously scheduled travel plans, his other scheduled jobs (he doesn't like to have multiple jobs going on at the same time) and weather delays (rain) the work was started September 5th and completed September 12th, 2014. Other than minor construction delays and some weather (rain) the installation went rather smoothly. The final inspection was requested and passed. Tony is an excellent contractor and put up with my husband who is a perfectionist and can be a pain. When there was an issue Tony would accommodate the request or explain why it could or could not be done. We will recommend Tony and South Florida Fabrication and Fencing to anyone who inquires about having a fence installed. He's busy, you may have to wait but you won't be disappointed!

Initially slow in responding I assume due to work load, once we we got the quote it went great. Job was done in a timely fashion. The gate works great. Job looks very professional. Tony even went the extra mile at the end with a little detail we wanted modified. Highly recommended.

The outside of the fence was acceptable however, when it came to finishing the inside (the side where the posts show) this company FLOPPED. The spacing between boards and posts was way too wide in one place, and way too tight in others throughout the entire project. The purpose of paying additional monies for a shadowbox fence, is to have BOTH sides looking nice. When we asked Tony to fix the problems he answered -"it's because of the 4x4 post spacing It look uglier if we would have cut the board in half". My husband & I removed the boards ourselves on 20 of the 32 sections (a section being about 5' between posts) approx. 70 boards in all. We re-positioned them, cut boards that needed to be cut, and made all the spaces even. What a difference! In our opinion, and having looked at some other shadow boxed fences, it does NOT look uglier when the board is cut to make a fit. It takes a little more time, planning, and effort to erect a Shadowbox Fence with even gaps between the boards. Besides the excuses for bad workmanship, there were excuses for late and missed appointments too. I intend to attach photos, decide for yourself.

Right from the beginning I had nothing but a great experience with Tony (SOUTH FLORIDA FABRICATION AND FENCING). I had shopped around and received prices from four different contractors, one of them didn't even bother to show up for the estimation appointment. Like the old saying goes "You only get one chance to make a great first impression". Tony of SOUTH FLORIDA FABRICATION AND FENCING did just that. Tony arrived to my home at the designated day and time of his shceduled appointment with me. He listened to what I wanted done and how I wanted done, then proceeded take measurments of the proposed area and reconfirmed with me as to the job that I wanted. With Tony we wouldn't have to worry about anything.. He pulled and filed all the necessary permits for the job. We (my wife and I), were happy and impressed with Tony's professionalism and knowledge in his field that we decided to use his company. I am soo glad we did. Tony and his company were not only punctual to the job but they were fast, clean and professional. They did what they said they were going to do, used the building material they said they were going to use and finished when they said they were going to finish. The longest part of all of this was the permit process, which is the cities doing and nothing to do with Tony or SOUTH FLORIDA FABRICATION AND FENCING. Job was started on Friday Morning and finished on Sunday. I am. Verrrry Happy with the entire scope of the job and with this company. Awesome and problem free from beginning to end. P.S. Two months ago my neighbor used a different Fencing contractor for his home. Only half of the job was done. My neighbor is still waiting for THAT FENCE GUY to show up. He should have used SOUTH FLORIDA FABRICATION AND FENCING.
