Service was prompt and efficient. Came out same day as call to diagnose problem. Ordered the part and put it in the next day. The technician was courteous and professional. The charge was fair for time and materials. I would recommend them.

We had never hired an electrician and found Coastal Electrical Service on Angies List and gave them a call on a Thursday and scheduled an appointment for the upcoming Tuesday, as it was convenient for us. Steve was on time, professional, quick, and efficient. Finished the job in under an hour. We were thoroughly impressed and appreciative of a job well done. Our room has the electricity restored entirely and the ceiling light in the second room now works. Very reasonable price. We are very satisfied customers and would hire again.

This is my second time using Coastal electrical.  I plan to use them again in the future.
We are 1500 miles away.  My winter tenants contacted me that the main light in the bathroom was not working.  I reached out to Coastal and they were very responsive.  Arrangements were made with my tenant, the problem was discovered to be the switch.  It was replaced and everyone is happy.
I am very comfortable working with this company from a distance.

I was contacted promptly by Coastal Electric to discuss details as to what issues need to be taken care. I was assured that the fix for the loss of power to the two outlets would be easy to find and fix. Steve, their field electrician, arrived on schedule. He proceeded to access the problem. He located the wiring issue and fixed it in under an hour. I was so impressed with Steve's manners and work ethic that I had him do another very small project of moving a light switch from inside the master bedroom closet to outside the closet for easier accessibility. I would absolutely use Coastal Electric for future projects!

Excellent service!  I'd recommend Coastal to everyone.  Prompt, polite and thorough.  They scheduled an appointment immediately and one that fit my schedule.  The serviceman was very competent and explained the repair in detail.

In December, an electrician from Coastal Electrical Service, relocated a light/fan receptacle to make it accessible.  He had to disconnect the existing wiring and install new circuit wiring in the attic.  This included removing old wiring, "fishing" the new wiring down from the attic through the interior of the wall to the proper location, installing a new electrical box with dual control switches, and making the light and fan connections.   Overall, it took less than two hours to do the job properly.   Steve, the electrician, was very polite and professional.  He explained what had to be accomplished, was very focused, went to work and got the job done!  He was determined to do the job within two hours so that our cost would not exceed the quote received from the company, while keeping in mind that all code requirements were to be met and the job was well done.  We are very pleased with the results.
In June, our lawn sprinkler irrigation system failed.  When I attempted to reset the controller, the plastic gears within the box disintegrated.  The controller was out-of-doors, 20 years old, and the Florida sun and heat had taken its toll.  I replaced the controller with a new one and in the process miss-wired the set up resulting in a short that tripped a GFI.  I discovered my mistake, and rectified the wiring.  However, several attempts at re-setting the GFI were unsuccessful.  Short of story:  I replaced two GFI receptacles and met with the same results.  I called an electrician at the hardware store where I had bought the GFI outlets and he advised me to get an electrician.  I called Coastal Electrical Services and requested that Steve come out.  They were very responsive.  Steve came out. Using a circuit tracker, he identified all the outlets on the circuit including another partially hidden GFI receptacle in the garage that I was unaware of (we moved into the home a only few months ago).  Lacking the appropriate equipment and expertise, I would still be  trying to figure out the problem.  Again, Steve was very polite and professional.  He reminds me of past military service when he responds with a respectful "sir". 
We are planning on re-wiring all of our light/fan fixtures in the home later this year.  When we do, we will call Coastal Electrical Services and ask for Steve again.  We are very pleased with their responsiveness, expertise, reasonable pricing, and courteous service.  We highly recommend them to all residents living in the south Florida Treasure Coast area.

Wow!  What an easy, breezy, great experience!  Steve the technician is so professional, experienced and a pleasure to do business with.  He made a point to show me some minor details that were very helpful.  I had called another electrician that I've done business with in the past and he never called me back.  His loss - my gain -- I've found a great new electrician for work around my house.  Thank you very much!

The technician (Steven, VP), was very polite and courteous. He showed up on time and was very professional. He went out of his way to do a few small but helpful things such as replacing a burned out bulb that was too high for me to reach and sorting out the breaker switch locations. I was only charged for the 2 hours of labor.

Power surges and interruptions are common in St. Lucie West. New refrigerator was sensitive to these and motor would not resume even though fridge was getting power. After losing over $400 of food since it happened while I was away for a few days, enough was enough. I called Coastal Electric and they came out the same day and put a surge breaker in the electric panel. It's been working like a charm ever since. No more issues with the fridge even though there have been multiple power surges since the breaker was installed.

Stephen Runge, son of the owner, did a superb job. He was polite, on time, and very efficient. He explained what he was doing and why. It would have been more profitable to replace all the old fixtures but he replaced the ballasts and put in a new tombsone, saving me money. The price was very fair. I'm glad I found Walter Runge's Coastal Electrical Service.
