Before the move, I spoke to three different people: The main sales guy, who assured me how fast and efficient their movers are (they're not!). I then spoke to another lady to confirm details, she then told me they were going to need to send an additional man out (which costs more money). Lastly, I spoke to another main to confirm the move once again. This time he told me the rate would be $10 an hour more than we were originally quoted. I argued this and he informed me this was the price when a coupon was being used. Yes, they were going to charge me a higher hourly rate because I had a coupon! I should have seen all of this as red flags, but I pursued with the move anyway.
We were very efficient with our packing and had most of our things contained within 2 main rooms in order to make the move go quicker. As I'm sitting with my newborn and my toddler watching these guys move our things, I'm noticing they were often on their cell phones texting or whatever they were doing. They also refilled their water bottles about 20 times putting their dirty hands in my ice maker (which I didn't appreciate). The loading process took a VERY long time.
Unloading was equally as sloppy. I noticed them almost drop our things several times, and take several more calls. Then they were in our kitchen getting more ice and water. They were even slower with the unloading process, especially since these "movers" would bring in one box at a time, so at that point my husband and I (2 weeks out from having a baby) decided to help unload the truck. I feel like they were taking an unreasonably slow amount of time in order to take several more hours and therefore, charge more money.
I set up the move and signed the agreement paperwork, but since I was unavailable, my husband paid them and noted the damage to our furniture. I notice that he overpaid and was not given a receipt. I immediately called and emailed customer service and asked for a copy of the receipt and a status of our damage report. I was told it would take 5 business days. After 8 business days I called and emailed again. I was then told that they can't locate my paperwork or any of my information. I have since emailed them two more times and still have not gotten a response from them. We made the mistake of paying with a check in order to save the service charge added on when using a credit card. And I now highly regret that choice as I can't dispute this charge. I will update as soon as I get a resolution from these people. I would highly recommend that you DO NOT USE this company and their services.
They gave me a price based on my list of items and they only charged for any extra boxes or material that they would be using (if necessary). The crew that came to move our stuff was great. They worked hard and did it with a smile. All our things arrived to our new home safely. The guys came in and put all the furniture together and even had patience while my wife made up her mind as to where she wanted to place the couch A great experience with a great company. Thank you for a job well done.
