Bids were sought from local contractors; including recommendations from Rainbow Springs Sales. Our expectations/requirements included full permits, inspections, etc., as required by county codes, and detailed contractual agreement/quote. Hurricane Contractors was the successful bidder. At this point, we met their contractor, John Saskowski, who took us though the basic process. John detailed the job and material requirements including his company?s construction involvement and sub-contractors used. Schedules were to be worked out with the construction and sub-contractors as each phase of the work progressed. When the job hit some snags, adjustments were made to reconcile the process. This is when the true character of a contractor surfaces. John sent in a new crew to tear out and redo a portion of the job. Then on top of that sent in a ?Serv-Pro? team to clean up the dust where a proper dust curtain was not installed. Were there problems; yes. Were they fixed to our satisfaction; yes. Would we recommend Hurricane Contracting to our friends; YES!
Description of Work: Remodel bath... Our objective was to replace our “garden Tub” with a smaller whirlpool tub and window with glass blocks. As plans progressed, we included retiling the tub surround and shower, and replacing/adding electrical fixtures.
