Dave gave me a quick estimate & turn around time. He installed new oak flooring in dining room, patched several major areas in the old hardwood floor then refinished/finished the entire main level our homes wood floors so all the wood matched. We love the look of it! Dave gets the job done right even if it takes a little longer since he's a one man crew. Everything took about a week from beginning to end of project. We'd definitely work with him again.

The job went well. We planned each stage of the job with David and executed it well. We were able to be flexible with each other while intentionally getting the job done. Stages included: work on the stairs, basement hardwood floor refinishing after we pulled up an old carpet in a large room, refinishing all of our hardwood floors on our main level (four rooms and hallway), and refinishing and restaining our cork kitchen floor.

We absolutely LOVE our new floors. Dave single-handedly scraped the thick finish off of our old floors showing the beauty in the natural wood beneath. They are so beautiful. There is Nothing like a DM Hardwoods hand scraped floor. We have used him before and we will definitely use him again.

Dave is a true master of his craft. He is hardworking, knowledgable, and goes above and beyond. I had him refinish my floors from 1954, and I can guarantee that they have never looked better than they do right now. I highly recommend Dave Marzalek.

Dave does an AMAZING job! He’s a true artist - everything he touches is done perfectly - beyond expectations. He shows up when he says he will, is respectful and kind, works incredibly hard, and is responsive to our requests. We started out wanting “wood floors” and based on such a good experience working with him we have expanded our job to include hand-scraping the floors, a custom inlay for the entry way, painting all the interior rooms, and are in the process of designing a hand-built table Dave will make for our dining room! We are so grateful to have found Dave Marzalek to enhance our home.

Dave with DMHardwoodDesigns did an amazing job installing and hand scraping my hardwood flooring. He is very punctual, and is willing to stay late when it is needed. He is a pleasure to work with and I wouldn't have anyone else touch my flooring in the future.

Amazing work! I was lucky to have this master craftsman redo my floors here in Gainesville. If he is available, don't hesitate, book him immediately. He hadn't scraped and refinished my 100+ year old wood floors which would have never survived a traditional machine sanding. Kudos to David for having the knowledge to know what do do with these floors and the skills to do the work. I would absolutely hire him again and I've passed on his info to a bunch of other people. We installed 5 inch hand scraped solid plank flooring stained dark walnut. The floors are beautiful and exactly what I asked for. We had a pine flooring staircase Dave scraped and stained to match the dark walnut flooring in the rest of the house. The entire bottom floor was completed. Highly recommend Dave Marzalek.

My wife hired them to do my entry while I was out of town on business. I not only had him do my whole house in California, Sun Valley Idaho, Aspen CO, Boca Raton Florida and Austin TX. An artist as well as craftsman. Unbelievable and I'm not impressed easily.
