Chimney Keeper

Earlier this year I realized I had a chimney full of chimney swifts. After checking Angie's List, I chose Chimney Keepers. I placed a call to set up an appointment to have the chimney cleaned and was told nothing could be done until the birds left their nest. I learned there is a $5,000 fine per bird for the homeowner and for the company removing them if this is attempted. The birds stayed about four months and Chimney Keepers came to give an estimate. The chimney cap had to be made to specifications. When the chimney cap was received, an appointment was made. Nick and his helper arrived on time and were very professional. The chimney was cleaned, with nothing escaping into the house and the cap was installed. I would definitely use this company again.

My husband and I just moved into our home a few months ago. We were unsure of the chimney condition and knew we would want to use the fireplace this winter. Chimney keeper receptionist/scheduler was very friendly and accommodating. I work a typical 9-5 job, so if they had certain days with extended hours that would be helpful. The gentlemen showed up, put down protection for the flooring and fireplace. One gentlemen was on the roof, the other inside. They inspected my chimney, cleaned it, and made suggestions for future repair. They were very fast and professional. They also showed me how to use the fireplace.

Nick and his colleague were punctual and extremely professional. They arrived on time and cleaned my chimney and fireplace with out making a mess of the room. Nick took a lot of care in taping up my glass fireplace doors so that no soot would escape onto my floor area. I liked the fact that I was given an honest assessment of the top of my chimney and wasn't pressured into paying for any additional services or a new cap (or whatever the top vent is called). I was told it was rusty but still functional. My first appointment with them was canceled properly by a phone call early on the day that they were supposed to visit (due to rain). I gave the price an "A" because I took advantage of an Angie's List special coupon deal. I will definitely use this company again.

Each person I spoke with starting with the original phone call and the two workers that did the chimney sweep were professional, courteous and did an excellent job. There was an additional cost of 15 dollars to handle a small moisture leak and to me it was well worth it. I'm completely satisfied. Thank you!

My dryer vent was more clogged up with lint than I anticipated. Glad I had them come out and clean the vent. Was on time and very friendly. Even recommended a small modification change to my vent. Thanks.

Great Service. They came to do my neighbors chimney sweep and I asked if they could do mine right after since they were already there, which they had no problem with. Fireplace had not been cleaned in years and they did a great job!

I had previously used another company for the past 8 years. Chimney Keeper pretty much blew the other company out of the water. Since we had only used one chimney service before, we had nothing to compare them to. But in came Don...He was so personable and professional. His employee was also just as great. They laid down canvas tarps from the door all the way to the fireplace. The other company only put tarps down around the fireplace. His equipment was the best. Again, the other company had only used a regular shop vac. Don's was like a shop vac on steroids! Not once did he try to sell me anything, unlike the other company. Needless to say Chimney Keeper now has a new lifetime customer. Thanks Don.

They were very professional, on time, and very clean in the sweep with removing the soot. Great job.

Called before coming. Explained everything to be done before doing and completed job in timely manor. We were told if it leaks to call them and they will come out to repair.

It went just great. All the people I dealt with were just super nice. The lady at the office was so nice and helpful, the gentleman who came and gave the estimate was courteous and did not try to scare me into buying more than I needed. The two men who did the work were so friendly, neat and fast workers.

Chimney Keeper professionals arrived on time, and cleaned and inspected my chimney for the wood burning fireplace as agreed. As an extra favor, they looked over my other chimney for the gas fireplaces, told me they looked fine, and recommended a company to help me get the fireplaces started up. They were very courteous and professional, even helped me get something down from my roof. My only issue was that they began cleaning without the cover over the fireplace and I walked in and saw ash in the air. They quickly covered it, but I had to do a bit of cleanup because I stupidly had all doors open and ceiling fans on. I would definitely do business with this company again.

Bought the 'deal" and service tech came and surveyed the project. Before he could do the work, much roof and outer house repair was required - so this company never did the chimney cleaning. Service tech was knowledgeable and experienced- so would use again under different circumstances.

Good. The only 'gotcha' was that it cost $30 more than the deal offered because my house was two stories.

As mentioned before, they came in - cleaned my chimney, protected my carpet and were done quickly. I am very pleased.

They cleaned up their mess and didn't take very long.

Chimney Keepers were on time, thorough, and explained everything they found about our fireplace and chimney. We bought our house on short sale so we wanted to have the fireplace and chimney checked out before using it. Could not have been happier with the service.
