This is the third time I have used this company. I liked the service I received in the past, and I continue to use them. This time, they fixed a sprinkler, and I asked them to review all the sprinklers to make sure the system is running efficiently. They found 2 other mist heads that needed to be raised for better coverage. They adjusted heads as needed. they also set the clock for proper time and watering days. We have 1/4 acre lot with 6-7 zones. They charged $125 for the job. They left the bill in the door, and I mail in the check.

Jeff showed first thing in the morning, inspected work I needed done. I thought they would need to reschedule to complete work but no, Jeff was able to complete everything in the one visit saving me time and money. Replaced sprinkler heads, moved sprinklers that were being blocked by vegetation and set the clock timer to ensure proper operation. Very good job! Thanks

My sprinklers weren't spraying well or weren't spraying at all. Eric discovered that a mango tree in our yard (planted after the sprinklers were installed) had grown so large that the roots crushed the irrigation pipe. He replaced the pipe and adjusted all of my sprinkler heads to make sure I was getting full coverage. I gave Eric a budget at the beginning of the project and he stayed within it. I couldn't be happier.

I hired Green Lawn to install my irrigation and sprinkler system 10 years ago and I have them do routine maintenance on my sprinklers and sprinkler heads once a year. Bob always returns my calls promptly and his team always does a thorough inspection of my sprinkler system when they come out. They only repair what's broken and don't try to sell me things I don't need or want. I love these guys!

The work was professionally done. The heads that he replaced are now working better than before. He checked everything else including the pump to make sure it all was in working order.

The parts and his work came with a 2 year guarantee. He was very professional. I would recommend him to anyone and would use him again if needed.

Over the past 5 years, I've spent over $1,500 trying to get my sprinkler system up to its original performance. For 25+ years, we had the most amazing sprinkler system company and the owner, Mr. Rohrbaugh, personally supervised our system. But he retired and I ended up using over 3 different companies -- and their people didn't know what they were doing. In one case, we were even left with a system that performed worse than it had before they started working on it. Fortunately, I was in touch with Green Lawn. They did a complete site survey, they tested the pump, tested the water, tested the timers, and basically tested the complete system. They replaced one of the timers, repaired some leaks around the pump and directional index valves, replaced some heads, and repaired one of the zones that was spraying water all over the place. They called in advance with an estimate, they showed up on time, and they got the job done for a reasonable amount of money. These are good folks and they do great work and I'm relieved to have finally found some people who know what they're doing with sprinklers. Thanks very much!

Bob Vail is the father of the owner, who contacted me and came out and did all the work. (Note-- he was the ONLY one of five companies I contacted who returned my call ! ) He had to change the initial date of meeting a couple times, but was very apologetic and gave plenty of notice. He called the night before to make sure Ii was home each time, and arrived exactly on time. He was prompt, professional, very knowledgable, and I felt, honest in his appraisal of what needed to be done.

Bob worked on our sprinkler system. I used the e-mail set up through Angie's List, and he called me later that day to say that he was really busy but if it was OK, he would call the next week to set up a time to give me an estimate. I wasn't in a terrible hurry, so that worked out fine. He called the next week and set up an appointment, after which he gave us an estimate, then began work the next week, which was all fine. When he came, the problem was more extensive than he thought it would be, but I had been expecting worse, so I wasn't surprised. He needed to order a part, so he came back the next week to install it. Through it all, he tried to only fix what really needed to be fixed and didn't try to sell me more than I needed and didn't try to sell me a new system. He was terribly nice and didn't treat me like I was an idiot, which I really appreciate because I know so little about the sprinkler system. The price seemed fair to me and I'm so grateful to have found someone I trust to work on my sprinklers if I have an issue. I feel very confident recommending this company to others.

He inspected and serviced it and fixed a couple of issues he found. I was very pleased.

My pump froze up the first time in Oct-Nov, but magically fixed itself after I'd called to make an appointment to have the motor replaced. When the owner came and evaluated the pump - now working - he recommended letting it alone until it failed a 2nd time, and did not want to accept anything for a service call despite having made a trip and looking over the system. I paid him $50 for his efforts - and his honesty - and when it failed a 2nd time I had no reservations about giving the work to them. The owner did the work, coming over one day to determine what was needed, then coming back to swap out the motor and get things working again. He didn't make or leave a mess, was punctual and checked out the entire system before leaving. The motor was more expensive than it would have been had I replaced the entire pump with one from Home Depot, but I'm no longer able to do the work myself and felt it was worth the difference having it done by someone I felt was trustworthy.

Mr. Vail came out at 7am to give an estimate, as I had to go to work. He first trouble shooted the pump to see if it was an easy fix. He made me feel comfortable that it was necessary to replace the pump. He came back later in the day and did the work. He and his workers were WONDERFUL. I highly recommend this company. His price was very fair and the quality of the work was SUPERIOR!!!

Outstanding and exceptional

I purchased Angies List special for irrigation service and repair if needed, called Greenlawn, made appointment for their service man the next day. He was on time, courteous, diagnosed problem and made repairs immediately. It was EASY, and the price fair and reasonable. I highly recommend

Excellent company! I had Green Lawn come after another supposed "A" rated company on this site came and had performed "check up" services. The prior company told me everything was fine, but the next day nothing worked. They came back and said I needed a new pump, even tho the one I had was not more than a year old. I knew I was being ripped off because I had a big house. It's happened many times before. Green Lawn then came and used a meter which indicated my pump was fine (the other company did not use a meter). Then they changed a part in my distributor for $20 (originally they spent time trying to fix the old part so as to save me the $20). After that all but one of 6 zones worked fine. For the last zone I was told me that most likely it was a broken head or a broken pipe. It turned out to be a broken head, and now all my zones are perfect. I have found my permanent sprinkler company.

Excellent phone response. Came out the next day right on time. They took a look at my system and found out that my valve was in the manual position. ( I'm blaming the dog) They put it in auto and all the zones were working fine. Suggested I put an end cap on one of the open zones to avoid water getting to the ground between zone changes. They did all this and would not accept any payment. Could have been 400-500 dollars. I respect their honesty and professionalism. I highly recommend them and will use them in the near future to rezone when I put my patio in the back yard.

Called, left message and he called back very soon. He wasn't sure what time he could come the next day and he maintained good communication with me and kept me updated about the appointment. We set a time and he arrived on time. He did some diagnostic tests and told me where I stand and what the prices were. I wanted him to do the work and he started right then! He did one thing at a time and then tested the sprinkler after each step of the way, letting me know about the progress. He completed the work and then checked out my whole system, pointing out how efficient my system was in some places and how it wasn't in others, and he made a few adjustments for me. I will use him in the future for any problems I have with my sprinkler system.

Problem was diagnosed without drama, work done very rapidly, everything remedied professionally. Bob and Jeff are old fashioned providers, provide the homeowner easily understood explanations of the problem, don't artificially inflate the seriousness of the situation just to charge more for their services. I am happy to recommend this company, and will do so when friends ask, "By the way, do you know a good sprinkler guy?" "Yes, I do!"
