We recently used First Coast Carpet Cleaners to try and save the carpet in one of our most used rooms. This was a last ditch effort to save the expense of reflooring the whole area! Much to our surprise & delight the carpet appeared spic & span - like new carpeting! The men were professional, courteous, and in and out in record time! Hoo-Ray for Angie's List!!

It went fine. I thought their price was a little high and I was a little surprised. I am not educated about it but I was definitely a little surprised by the pricing because I thought it would go $79 and then I kind of like fell over a little bit. He's very responsive, punctual, called and did everything on time. He's all by himself, something broke and very courteous.

Bought the $59 deal on Angie 's list and they adequately cleaned the carpet. When they arrived I was informed that areas with staining and traffic areas would be additional. This was surprising to me as that is not disclosed anywhere in the deal disclosures on AL. The only non standard disclosures were that stairs would be additional. I was told the $59 dollar deal was only for a "maintenance" type steam cleaning. Come on, how many people get their carpet cleaned when there are no stains or traffic areas ? The additional charges for "deep cleaning" of stains and traffic areas should have been disclosed in the listing materials. I reasonably believed that my carpets would be cleaned including stains for the $59. My carpet was not even that bad, they were done in less than 30 minutes so it could not have been that bad. Mike the owner claimed that he told me about the additional charges when I called to schedule the appointment; however, I have no recollection of him talking about anything other than an arrival time. Had he informed me I would surely have remembered it and felt that this was nothing more than a bait and switch scheme........as I now feel after the job is complete. Mike tried to get me to leave a good rating here by offering free scotch guard if I left a good rating before they left. I said ok but then checked the AL listing to check again if there was any verbiage disilosing up charges for "deep cleaning"...there was none. I then told him I did not want the scotch guard but he had already done it so in order to leave an honest rating I paid an additional $60. So here is the final damage $59 (AL cost) + $274.99 (up charge for "deep cleaning" stains and traffic areas + $60 (Scotchguard) = $393.99. I feel totally scammed. UPDATE 11/2/2013: After the carpet dried a big stain re-appeared in the main living area.

The steaming of the carpet was great. There was a lot of areas that we had to have brushed or cleaned before they had to steam it. It ended up being a costly affair that way when they finally added everything up. It was like a brush that we used to wax on the floor. They did a great job. I was just not planning on spending quite that amount on carpet cleaning. They never called me direct after I purchased it. I had to call them and talk to them. Their service was good but it was just a little expensive. I didn't realize that it would cost that much. When we set up a date, it was great. They were very professional. They came in comfortable clothing but they explained what they were going to do. They did an adequate job of doing everything in the house. I can't say it was bad. It just got the carpet looking beautiful.

I called Mike Franco directly because I had some questions about the special being offered to Angie's List members-- $59 Carpet Cleaning & Deodorizing for Three Areas. He told me then that there could be additional charges involved. As it was, I found the "special" not to be so special. It included only 600 sq. feet of cleaning and deodorizing as advertised. 600 feet is not a lot so I figured that the cost might actually be doubled to do all my carpeting as listed above. Mike said he would go over the figures when they arrived today to do the carpet (fifteen minutes before the end of the three-hour window I was given). I received no phone call letting me know when to expect them so was not prepared. I had not picked things up from the floor and moved what needed to be moved. I did that while Mike was working up a quote. Imagine my surprise when the price quoted was more than four times the amount of the so-called special offer. At that point I told them they could go--that the special offer on Angie's List was very deceiving - that more information needed to be provided. Now, to be fair, we did negotiate a price that I was a little more comfortable with and they did proceed to do an amazing job on the carpet. I don't think I've ever had anyone clean the carpeting so thoroughly. I cannot complain about the job done, nor the good folks who did the work. The work was great, the price not so great. I would have preferred to know the cost up front before before the team arrived to do the work. I cannot say for sure whether I would have used this company today or if I will use them again.

This was the $79 three room special that I was actually charged $89 for. They tried to up sell me for a few hundred dollars more and when I declined, they couldn't get done quick enough.

Service was for a $79.00 Carpet cleaning normally $225.00 special from Angie's List. Mike arrived on time and was very personable. We inspected the areas to be cleaned. Mike advised me that regular cleaning consisted of putting hot water down and vacuuming it up. He demonstrated. One stroke forward (water down) and one stroke back (vacuum water up.). He advised me that to clean the carpets well (scrub spots and use cleaning solution) we needed to deep clean, an additional cost of $298.15. I declined on the deep cleaning. Regular cleaning was completed quickly. In and out approximately one hour. I waited for the carpet to dry and inspected it. My overall opinion: 1. Service not worth $79.00 let alone $225.00. Basically service consists of putting hot water down and vacuuming water up. They use your water. 2. I can do a better job with my Hoover carpet cleaner. It uses hot water, it scrubs the carpet, it vacuum the water up and the deep cleaning solution for my carpet cleaner cost less then $20.00 a bottle and will clean the area cleaned today four times. 3. My comments are about my perception of value received.

Mike did a great job cleaning the carpet on the main floor. All of the stains came out, the carpet looked like new!! The carpets dried in a few hours. I never felt like I was being pressured to increase the package for treatment once Mike came out. I asked about options and was able to decide what I wanted to be done, and at the price I felt comfortable. I would highly recommend Mike's company for being very professional and hard working. The quality of the work and results of the work far exceeded our dreams. There isn't a stain left on the carpet!!!

They did a fantastic job on my carpets....I purchased a big deal but I also got a deep cleaning in addition to that in order to have some really deep stains removed. It was completely worth it! They worked hard and deep scrubbed the carpets clean. My carpets look like new! I was very pleased and would highly recommend them.

They seemed professional. Did an excellent job. Removed all the stains. We are totally satisfied with their service.

I bought a coupon for limited cleaning and decided to have all the carpets cleaned while they were there. They gave me a good price on the spot. Very pleased

These gentlemen scheduled me promptly, arrived as promised, checked out the carpeting and discussed and explained options with me. They got right to work and checked in with me several times to ensure I was happy with the results they were getting. This is a new home for me and the previous owners left the carpeting really dirty, stained, and smelly from pets, and I was afraid I'd just have to live with it until I could afford to replace it. But now, after First Coast Carpet Cleaning worked their magic, I am much happier and the house smells fresh. My family and friends were amazed at the difference. These guys even worked extra hard to reduce severely stained areas. I was very, very pleased with the work.

Service was outstanding! Mike and zack were on time and very professional..my dog had an accident in my living room and i tried to clean it up but nothing was working ahhhh! So i checked them out and they seemed very experienced over the phone..they came out that same day. They did a walk through and explained everything to me before starting the job..very knowledgable!!!! Everything came out great and dried in just a couple hours not 3 days:) My wife was very happy when she came home that night which is worth $1,000!! Again he did living room and dining area combo, and small foyer also removed a spot that was soiled, he did not charge me, as I check the bill, he was nice and courteous, and prompt, did a great job and did it in good time he explained to me the process and what to do to care for my carpet.
