Baymeadows Moving & Storage

We had used Angies List for previous contractors and it had been reliable for good referrals. I found Baymeadows Movers to be highly reviewed and highly rated for large moves such as ours. We did not look any further. The estimator came out within a day or two and was professional and gave a detailed estimate and included 12 wardrobe boxes (part of the Angies List promo). The crew arrived lead by Andre. They were respectful and very careful with our items and both the departing home and move-in home. We did not find any damaged items or walls. They were meticulus with pad-wrapping all item. In fact, this was the best wrapped move we have had (and we have moved multiple times cross-country (and it was only a 20 mile move). Because of the extensive job they did wrapping and packing it took a bit longer than estimated, which ended up costing a bit more than estimated. If you have expensive furniture they are well worth the extra time and money. Andre did a great job of controlling the situation and letting me know what what was happening. After an hour they had won my trust. In general a great jop - very professional and worth the extra money.

From the moment they arrived (Mike and Miguel), both movers proceeded to carefully move and pack the POD to ensure maximum effective use of the limited storage space. They took care while taking out big/heavy pieces of furniture's and padded them carefully to avoid damages. They even placed a padded blanket around my door edge to avoid damage to my furnitures and door frame. From the moment they arrived, they worked extremely hard! The packing and storage went very well, they completed the work as promised and exceeded my expectations. They were very meticulous in packing and caring for my belongings. I highly recommend this company to anyone who needs a helping hand with moving household items and or packing & storing heavy items. They were courteous and true professionals!

The truck broke down on the way here. Terry McDonald (President, Defiance Truck and Transfer) kept us posted continually as to the progress. It cost $7,630.00, about $1,500.00 less than the original cost.

Everything was good. I had no problems with the estimate. I ended up going with another company.

Their service was fine. It wasn’t the best experience. The guys that came out worked hard and they were good. Initially, when I made the reservation to secure the services to move, they said they would send three guys to help us move. The day of the move, they showed up with only 2 guys which made it become a 5 hour job instead of a 3 hour job. When I called them to confirm it, they said they would charge a reduced rate since there were only 2 guys. By the time they could have got a third guy out there, the other two would have been done. Even thought it was a reduced rate, it still cost me time during my move.

It was the best cross country moving experience I have had. Much better than the last company I used. They showed up at the weigh station when they said they were going to. They were actually early. They got started right away. The coordinator, Diane, she was really helpful. For what they did, I thought the price was really fair. They were very responsive and that is what I liked about them. Some companies didn't get back to me for days. The guys who came to move were on time and wanted to get going.

Over the last month we have had many services/repairs/upgrades done to both homes. None of them have approached the level of professionalism and quality provided by Baymeadows M&S. My wife was impressed since they came to do the estimate, which was very thourough and detailed, alhough somehow, when they moving crew came a few days later, they were not expecting so many boxes and furniture. However, this only emphazise how good these guys are. Miguel and crew (3 in total + 1 truck) worked for about 12 hours nonstop, during which they rearanged the furniture multiple times, gave us ideas how to maximize space utilization, and at the end of the day, there wasn't a single scratch to the walls, woodfloor or the furniture. After almost two weeks, we still haven't finished unpacking, but so far, nothing broken. IWhithout going into much detail, it is very clear that these guys are very professional, experienced and knowlegeable in what they do. I would definitely recommend this company (and particularly this crew) to anyone that needs moving

They were very thorough and the person in charge of the job was meticulous. I had no problems and they kept me very informed on the situtation, even though I wasn't the actual customer but I was the supervisor of the job.

They offered the best service, have the nicest people and did a good job. I will use them again in the future.

The team of 3 arrived around 8am and promptly started wrapping the furniture and completing an inventory list of items in our home. I also had them pack 2 huge mirrors which was done to perfection. They continued to work without interruption as they completed the process as scheduled. I am so very happy that I chose Baymeadows Moving and Storage for my moving needs. They will also be storing my furniture for approximately 3 months. I expect the second half of the move to be as great as the first! Thanks Baymeadows Moving and Storage!

Provided an accurate estimate that was competitively priced. Packers and movers were very pleasant and hard working. Nothing was broken. Care was taken to protect walls and doors. Delivery location was very difficult and it was raining. Movers took extra precautions with boxes and inside on the floors since it was so wet outside. Maintained a very pleasant attitude the entire time and never complained. I would strongly recommend them. Scheduling was a bit tricky but they accomodated our schedule.

From start to finish our experience went very smoothly. The packing crew were very focused and professional, The first truck arrived around lunch time and the guys began loading up to get a head start. The second day, the truck arrived on time, and was completely loaded by lunchtime....very professional, kept us informed. I would recommend that you provide plenty of bottled water and provide some lunch. Would highly recommend this company and definately use again.

The 3 movers arrived promptly, actually early, and went right to work. They were extremely professional and fast! It ended up that we needed an additional truck to finish loading the garage and a truck arrived well before they were ready to load it. There was no additional truck charge. We were very, very pleased and would recommend the group we had to anyone (sorry, I didn't write down their names).

What a professional and pleasant experience. The gentlemen arrived on time, were very efficient, friendly and personable. I will recommend this company to everyone I know.

My overall experience was excellent, some small bumps getting everything on the truck, but everything worked out to my satisfaction. I would recommend Bay Meadows without hesitation

Great. Would use them again. Arrived as expected between 830-9AM. And moved all of our furniture in the hot florida heat for 8 straight hours on a Friday before 4th of July weekend. I fed them lunch and kept drinks on hand so they were comfortable. One of the workers probably needed to be supervised a bit more as I caught him sitting in garage at one point while other two guys moved items...I kindly reminded him I was paying him by the hour. He got right up and got to work. $175 per hour but there are 3 guys, which makes the day move much faster than just 2 guys. One of the workers is "in charge"...organizing the move, and the packing of the truck. This is a grueling job to do day in and day out....but never heard these guys complain. Great local company for a Jacksonville move. They took extra precautions to protect my furniture, home and floors. And always asked where to put things....instead of just throwing them somewhere.

They did an amazingly excellent job! They were timely and incredibly courteous. Moving can be stressful, and it was great working with such a responsive, responsible company. They really went above and beyond. In June 2010 I contacted them about handling an out of state move, but they didn?t do this type of work at the time. However, they were extremely helpful in providing me with different recommendations.
