My mother had what I thought was a power surge on Sunday that was causing problems with her A/C. I sent in a service request and had a response from them within an hour. The following morning they called me to set up a service appointment. They diagnosed the problem very quickly and had everything they needed to fix it with them. My mother is elderly and does not deal well with people she does not know. I usually have to take time off work to go deal with them for her but the guys from American Electrical were incredibly professional and put her at ease. They called me every step of the way to let me know what was going on with her electrical issues and what the fix needed to be. They were done with everything probably within an hour of arriving at her house. The actual cost came in less than what their estimate was. I am so glad I called them first. They were quick, professional, and accurate in their cost estimate. I highly recommend them and will be using them for any future electrical work on my own house.

Fred and Gary were on time, neat and polite. They listened while I explained my repair needs and did a good job of communicating. I have an older home and had several broken outlets or outlets that were not up to code. I also needed two light fixtures moved. Gary and Fred moved quickly, explained the work that they were doing and made suggestions about how to make my house safer. The price was not bad for all the work that they did and I feel more secure knowing that professionals have looked over the wiring. I will recommend them to friends and will use them again if I have any needs.

I have several projects around my house that I wanted done. So the staff at the office was very helpful and had a guy come out the next day to give us a quote - which was much appreciated. The guy arrived within 15 minutes of when he was suppose to - which was fine. He walked around the house with us, looked at the different projects, gave suggestions and took notes. I was impressed. But since then, I have called 2 times and I am still waiting after 3 weeks just to get a quote.

We received an estimate for the work and a date and time was set. Workers arrived on time, completed work with no mess, and were professional and knowledgeable. Completely satisfied.

They were great. They showed up on time and they called ahead of time. They also gave me the next day service. They came right in and figured out what the problem was and got it done within the hour. They were extremely effective and just really great customer service.

The electrician was able to install 3 new GFI switched/brakers and recommended that we let him install a "whole house surge protector". Since we lost our TV, Tivo, and Apple TV all at the same time we agreed to let him do the installation. Hopefully, this wont happen again.The gentleman was very helpful and thorough. I will call them again the next time i have need of an electrician.

3 way light switches ceased to work. I attempted to fix it myself using diagrams downloaded from a web-site. I messed it up totally and couldn't get either of the lights to work. I called American Electrical Contracting at about 11 a.m. and explained the problem. By 2 p.m. the electrician had arrived at our house, changed the wiring, explained why the color-coded wires in older homes did not match what I was seeing on the the diagram (newer homes use different color codes). He was able to diagnose the problem quickly and fix it in short order. The lights now work perfectly. WOW! What great service! Called them late in the morning and everything fixed by 2 p.m....and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg. Reasonable, prompt, courteous, and informative. I'd use American Electrical again...and Angie's list...for any home repair projects that were beyond my capacity.

.I was pleased with the service they provided. I didn't have personal contact with the electrician I dealt with the people in the office and they were all good. The work he did was good.

Overall it went fine, but again I thought the labor charges were a little high and we didn't get that much resolved. The repairman was knowledgeable.

I used American Electrical about a year ago to install a 50 amp outlet on the outside of my home. Everything was done well with quality materials. I also asked them to rewire a bathroom vent fan that wasn't installed correctly by another contractor. The American Elec. electricians accidentally wired it through another circuit. After I discovered the problem, they came out immediately to wire the fan correctly.

American Electrical did a terrific job, in a very short time period and I could use their $25 discount coupon. GREAT JOB - THANKS MUCH !!

I scheduled an appointment for an estimate for 4/4/02 between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m. I was told that I would be contacted immediately prior to the appointment when the estimator was on the way to my house. I was never contacted. Understanding that mistakes happen, I contacted their office the following day to reschedule. I was told that the estimator was in a meeting and that they would call me back to schedule once the estimator was out of his meeting. I never heard back from anyone. My experience left me with the impression that they either don't want my business or they just aren't organized enough to be reliable.

Was wonderful. They didn't hestitate and knew what they were doing. Very pleased!

Just like everyone else says, THEY ARE THE BEST. The two "gentlemen" were GREAT as they went about quickly swapping out the old boxes(installed in the 1950s!). Gary, the estimator is a great guy too.

They came over to review my project and did a great job. They gave me lots of information, explained everything in detail and that is why I am going to go with them. I will use them again in the future.

I had to call American Electrical twice withing a few days. They installed a dedicated plug for an over the range microwave. They were on time and did the job quickly and with minimal mess. The crews were very professional. I would use this company again.

The techs were just wonderful; super nice. Very patient with me and answered all questions fully They really know their business and the entire process took about 4 1/2 hours I am thrilled with my new light fixture and feel safer with the new panel The guys cleaned up their mess and hauled off all debris I am very pleased with their work and the price was very fair

.The bill was less than $150, so we couldn't use the Angie's List coupon, but we realized later that day that we forgot to ask about a military discount. We called the office, and they are sending us a check for 10% back! How nice; most places will not give a discount retroactively. Overall, a good experience, I will use them again in the future!

They were very professional and knowledgeable. They were actually fifteen minutes early to do the job. They responded to my call the same day I contacted them. Overall I will give them an "A" across the board. I would definitely recommend them.

They did a very good job. They were very good. They were very prompt and exactly on time. They were little cheaper than what they said it was going to be and they seemed very nice. I didn’t see there but their service was very good. My daughter also wasn’t there but they just did it and sent me the bill.

All the work was done well and quickly, and I was pleased to receive an email shortly after I contacted him on Angie's List.

It all went as planned and I am pleased with the outcome.
