After filling out a request for moving quotes online, I was contacted by M and D Pro Moving on 8/28/2024. The salesperson, David Marks, quoted us $2,690.80 for a move from Altamonte Springs, FL to Warner Robins, GA. Once he received the deposit and signatures on 9/3/2024, we agreed for our furniture to be picked up on Friday, 9/27/2024 and David stated that it would be delivered in 3-5 business days. As we got closer to the pick up date, I decided to look into the reviews of M and D and at that point I knew I had made a grave mistake in hiring them. on 09/27, once the truck was loaded, at approximately 10pm, the â foreman of the three man crew stated that we had more â cubic feet of furniture than was quoted by David and that the total of the move would now be $8,206 vice the quoted price of $2,690.80 (which turns out to be 3.05 times the quoted price). The foreman stated that he had to have 75% of the total paid before they could leave. Then I learned that M and D only takes payment apps to ensure that you cannot stop payment or dispute the charges with a bank or credit card company. Once paid, the foreman told me again that we would have our furniture delivered in 3-5 business days. As they were wrapping up, I overheard them calculating how much time it was going to take them to â get to the warehouse in which I thought was unusual but as long as our furniture arrived in the time that was stated, I was not concerned. The following day, I received a call from M and D asking if we needed to â store our furniture or if we needed to have it delivered at the first available date, in which I stated that we wanted it in the 3-5 business days that had been promised. After waiting the 5 business days, I called M and D to find out the status of our delivery because we had zero updates since the furniture was picked up. The person that I spoke to stated that they do the schedule on Thursdays and that she would contact us once that we were on the schedule. I told her that both David Marks and the Foreman told me that it would be 3-5 business days, and her reply was that by law, they have 30 weekdays, not including holidays and weekend, to deliver the furniture. This is the last time that M and D has answered my calls, returned texts, or replied to the requests to be contacted through their website. Last Thursday, I was contacted by M and D stating that our furniture would be delivered on 10/25/2024. Before they would start unloading, the lead that the balance of $2,313 had to be paid in full in which we complied. As they were wrapping up with our portion of the truck (there was another delivery in North Carolina that was also on the truck) I let him know that over half of our items were not unloaded. Confused, he called the owner of M and D Pro Movers and put the gentleman on speaker phone. I asked where the other half of my furniture was and the owner of M and D Pro Movers and put the gentleman on speaker phone. I asked where the other half of my furniture was and the owner stated that our load was the back half of the truck and there was not enough room to get it all on the truck. I stated that that was not my problem and we had been waiting for 28 days for our furniture to be delivered, after being promised 3-5 business days and paying 3.05 times what was quoted, and his response was that he â thinks we might have a truck heading our way by Tuesday or Wednesday of this week. This company is a broker, not a moving company. They are completely unethical and should not be allowed to prey on people that need their services. The half load that we received on Friday had approximately half of the items damaged. Boxes looked like they had been thrown around. Tables were broken, dressers were broken and scratched, we are missing legs to our bed, our 70-inch TV was unboxed and was reboxed in a half box, and we are missing three par...

When they came to move my stuff the driver came with a day labor worker who didn't know what he was doing and dropped a few bins breaking a few items also they didnt have the [proper tools to disassemble my bed and ended up stripping a few screws that driver told me i had more than they priced and it would be 700 m0re we settled on 500 . When he was finished loading the truck he wanted 70% of the balance and 30% on delivery which i paid 5 days later i get a text saying it would bed 600 mre because they had to transfewr my stuff to another truck i had no choice but to pahy itso we went from 2000 to 3100 i feel i was robbed and will never recommend trhis company and ro make matters worse the car transport company they recommended pulled the same n nonsense they gave me a price to move my 500 the n knowing i already moved and my car was still in new orleans told me its going to be 200 above the 500 onced again robbed don't ever use M&D movers total thief's

IF I COULD RATE THIS COMPANY LOWER I WOULD!! STAY AWAY!!!!THEY SUCK!!! PLAIN AND SIMPLE!!!!Was highly rated by Home advisors which turned out to be anything but. I think you should really re-evaluate this company. When Adam Levy sold us the contract to move to Aiken SC he was all supportive and assured us our delivery would be delivered by or around 8/2/24. After he sold us the deal(told us it was a summer deal so sign quickly or lose the deal) we tried to contact him but was told he was out sick and a woman Tish would be helping us. We arrived at our new home on 8/2/24 still not contacted when delivery would be made. We attempted to contact the company multiple times, but either no answer or went to voicemail. Eventually we were contacted and were told there was not a delivery date set yet. I am 67, my wife is 72 and my mother-in-law who lives with us is 94. We needed the delivery desperately but every day we called and was told they didnt know when the delivery was going to be made. Tish also was very arrogant when we questioned why if the delivery date was 8/2/24 and not completed yet. The delivery came on 8/29/24 at 7pm. When we received our delivery which M and D Pro Movers packed and secured then delivered, we found our 65 inch LG tv damaged and screen cracked along with a curio with damage to the wood and china plates broken in boxes that were CLEARLY marked GLASS FRAGILE. The condition of the boxes were horrendous and crushed. When the unwrapped the TV it was broken. The TV cost $2400 and was junk when they delivered it due to their negligence. HOW CAN HOME ADVISOR RATE THIS COMPANY SO HIGHLY??? It does not reflect what I believe you are trying to portray as a company. The claim company they deal with is MOVINGCLAIM.NET which does not provide a phone number you can contact and need to wait until they contact you. I was told to make sure when I fill out the claim form, which I did on 9/3/24, to make sure everything was filled out correctly because you only get 1 chance to send it in. They will not allow you to re-submit it I was told by Tish. This seems kind of odd if they are a Legit company. Being a senior along with my wife and her mother that this company is abusing the elderly by the unprofessional practices this company employs.
