Armando was amazing. He was extremely patient in explaining the entire process to my grandmother and keeping her informed. This is an unusual situation in that I don't live in the same state as my grandmother. I was there to initially meet with Armando and he gained our trust right away. He went the extra mile to keep me informed as well. My grandmother is really impressed with the quality of the work. They installed all the shutters in one day. I called Armando on Thursday afternoon asking him for help because I could not close the accordion shutters in my new home. He came the next day, and showed me how to clean and close them at no cost. He also gave me a quote to add shutters to 3 other windows. Reliable and friendly.

Armando went out of his way to make sure I understood that as his customer, I am important to him and that we maintain a good relationship. His product is my defense against storm damage and gives me safety so it's critical I can count on it and the company that stands behind it.

They are very good. The owner was very prompt if I had any questions. The price was very competitive. They knew I was in a crunch for the wind storm insurance and they had to be installed by a certain time, and he sent a guy out on July 4th to do it.

The project from start to finish was seamless. I meet with 6 different companies and Armando with A C Shutters was the most prepared on initial consultation. I have put it off long enough from hearing those stories in the news about con artist who had tapped into the shutter business. Not only was he a wealth of information but it was like talking to a brother explaining to me the process. He left nothing unsaid and also product real product to show me the material that is used, color choices. Before he left he provided me with a written quote that he signed which included the Miami Dade County inspector fee (which they filed application for as well). The week everything was ready I was tied up with work and missed several calls, however Armando followed through until getting it touch with me to get the job done. I strongly recommend AC Shutters they have an excellence price point and also move quickly from the day the contract is signed until the day approved by inspector -- Never dropped the ball like a lot of other contractors.....Armando great job your company help to restore my faith in this type of process.

Armando called to let me know when he'd arrive and worked around my schedule. He arrived promptly and was very courteous. Armando looked at every shutter to determine what may be needed next week (missing parts) and confirmed the appointment.

I have nothing but praise for AC Shutters and Awnings Inc. I found I had an open permit for shutter installation that was done years ago and that that company was now out of business. To close that permit I needed to have minor repairs made. I check Angies List and found AC Shutters. I explained my problem to the companies owner Armando. He personally came out, saw what my problems were and fixed them on the spot. I don?t know of many companies that would respond in such a manner for such a small job. The county inspector came out the next day and checked the repair work that Armando had done and closed the permit. This company will go above and beyond to insure customer satisfaction. I highly recommend them and will use them again.

We arrived in our condo on a Friday night to discover that one section of the balcony motorized storm shutter would not roll up. I found AC Shutter and Awning on Angie?s List the next morning with an A rating. The owner Mr. Colon answered my call immediately. After I described the shutter Mr. Colon said that he was familiar with the style of shutter and would evaluate the problem the next week as I was in town for a brief visit. Mr. Colon personally evaluated the broken shutter on the following week as promised. He ordered replacements parts and returned the next day to install. During the installation process Mr. Colon made adjustments to the shutters that corrected several problems. The shutter now works perfectly! Mr. Colon is very professional and pleasant to work with. When it came to installing accordion hurricane shutters in our new home, we had dozens of companies from which to choose. AC Shutters and Awnings by far gave us the best deal, not only in price but in quality of the work and customer service. Armando Colon, the owner, was there every step of the way – from the initial estimate, all the way through to completion of the project. He always answered the phone, or returned our calls shortly after we left a message. As for customer service, he went above and beyond every time. When we told him we were going away on vacation and my mother would be watching the house, he offered to come by and close our shutters if a storm was forecasted while we were away! When the work was completed, he personally came by to give us a lesson on how to work the shutters to insure the quickest and most effective use. We would recommend him in a heartbeat.

He was fantastic, drove 30 miles just too look at my shutters, would not take any money, even gave me extra clamps for my shutters, He told me my shutters were in great shape. Would not take any money..

They did everything that was agreed to in a professional manner. Installation preformed about a month after the contract was signed and all permits were obtained. Good job at a fair price.

Armando, the owner of the company dealt with us directly. Armando was professional, patient in answering ALL of my questions and provided us with a quote on the same day of inspection. Armando was very accomodating with us and considerate with our work schedules. His price was reasonable especially considering the extremely large accordion shutter we requested. I obtained other quotes and Armando provided us the best price. Other companies I found in Angie's list would not even provide us with a quote because they had a 5 opening (door/window) minimum per job. Our home owner's insurance claimed a rear door was not hurricane certified and needed a shutter. But during the initial inspection, Armando was able to help us determine that the door was certified and the insurance company made a mistake. We have since corrected the matter and received a credit back from the insurance company thanks to Armando's help and honesty. The completed job was immaculate and the shutters are of great quality. Armando promised to finish the project by February 20th, 2014, and he did. I have never found a company on Angie's list worth writing a review for until now. I highly recommend AC Shutters & Awnings, Inc.

angies list rating of ac shutters was very high, called mr.colon for an estimate january 8, 2014. he suggested i look at a house in my area that he previously installed accordian shutters on, i was very impressed with the quality of the shutters and the quality of the instalation. i signed the contract january 15, we went over each opening to decide on each style of each shutter and color, shuttter installation was january 29. mr colon was great all the way through, he wants you to happy with the final product. i have recommended ac shutters to several people.

The owner was very helpful. He suggested alternatives and even recommended against more expensive alternative that he felt added not value.

They were helpful, pulling the needed permit, advise to me, and responsive to my request during the installation. I would recommend A/C Shutters and Awnnings. I did get two other estimates, liked the products and representives but liked A/C's price better. I am very happy with the outcome.
