Description of Work: Originally I purchased a ceiling fan install deal for $99.00. Razvan and Paul were very prompt and called me before hand giving me an estimate on when they would arrive. Once there they were very professional and answered all of my questions regarding what they were doing and what needed to be done. Everything went fine on the install and I would highly recommend them to all. | |After they had left I had an unrelated power outage/surge on one of my breakers these caused most of my lights to go out. I called Razvan to see if they could come back and take a look at what was going on. He said he could and was back at my home in less then an hour. Apparently I had a surge in the breaker and a fire actually broke out in one of my plugs where a GFI was operating properly and did not pop as it should have nor did the breaker pop and kept sending power to the outlet and overloaded it until it caught fire. Luckily Razvan and Paul were on the scene to help out with this hazardous situation. They were able to get my home back into operation in less than an hour. He even provided me with a BC Investigation Report about faulty breakers that were used back in the 1950's through the 1970's (my house was built in 1956) explaining what was going on with them. Next up for us is to replace our power panel with new and more modern one eliminating this potential future hazard. Thanks for all of your help today Razvan!

Description of Work: I called them several times to schedule the visit after paying Angie's List for the service. Never a call back and never got my $39 back for the no services rendered.

Description of Work: This was a "whole house" electrical inspection promotion thing. Here is what they did... I do think I got my $39 worth, since most electricians charge even more than that just to come to your house. However, it wasn't what I would call "whole house". All they did is 1- look at the fuse boxes on the property and the main building input and make sure it had up-to-code capacity and 2 - open up one light switch, see that it was not the latest design and thereby recommend that I replace all switches and plugs in the building, for $41 apiece labor and materials. They answered a question I had about a solar panel installer who had told me the fuse box on the detached garage wouldn't work for them (said the solar company was BS'ing, just trying to charge me extra to rewire unnecessarily). They also told me that all my smoke alarms were past the 7 year expiration and should be replaced. This was all good info I guess, although seems to me they could have saved themselves a trip out to the house by just putting the info they gave me on a website and charging $5 for access, they could describe what things for me to check, I could do it myself. I mean, this is what they should do if they are in the biz of not spending any more time than absolutely necessary with their customers, which certainly seems to be the case. I guess I expected a little more "care" from them...eg., for them to look a little more closely at individual items... a few switches that are too slow to turn on, a stove hookup that we would like to convert from slide-in to standalone, but they were in and out in such a flurry and hurry, I didn't manage to get to these questions before they were out the door. Although they did have time to all but command me to give them an Angie's List review. The whole experience just felt, I don't know, like they were on greed pills or something and I was just one more idiot to check off their overbooked list. I think they were OK, as far as it went, but for a big job, I would hire someone who gives a little more impression of putting the customer first.

Description of Work: It took me over 6 weeks to get the work performed. I gave them a 2 week advance window to do the work around the first of Oct. due to my own travel in early September. I never heard from them via e-mail or phone. I finally contacted Angie's list Customer Service (pretty impressive service - thank you Angie) to get the work done. The 'bad news" was the took my old ceiling fan & dumped in my recycling bin

Description of Work: The guy was nasty when he spoke to me, he sounded as if he was doing me a favor even coming out. He said he could not come out to us for another 2 weeks. I would like a refund.
