It was satisfactory. It was a good price and a competent job. I'm sure they were disappointed that I didn't have a lot of work done, but they didn't bother me with follow-up calls.

They are very good. I would do business with them again. They were on time and very easy to schedule with. They got it done quickly and efficiently.

I did not use the bid because it appeared to have unnecessary work in it, e.g., replacing circuit breakers just because there were different brands of breakers in the same panel. Also, the cost to replace the main breaker panel was about twice what I'd been quoted by another contractor. When I bought into this offer, I was expecting an "inspection" report; what I actually got was just a bid for electrical work.

I described the areas of concern I had about the lights and safety precautions in general and received immediate answers. This father and son team were very thorough and were patient to explain in layman's terms what I needed to understand about the problem areas. They come across as being knowledgeable, experienced and open to give good honest advice. They let me know the ballpark figure of how much the repairs/replacements would cost so that other electricians cannot take advantage of my lack of knowledge about electrical supplies and the cost of labor. There was no pressure to hire them to return and do the work. As a matter of fact, Nicolae advised me to hire someone locally to do the job instead because they are based in Fremont and I am located in San Francisco. Overall, time and money well spent. The inspection and writeup was the peace of mind that I wanted. I am very satisfied with this purchase! I would recommend this business to any one of my friends or family members.

We took part in the Angie's List Upgrade Electrical Service Panel offer provided by Quick Electric. We received exactly what we were expecting, and although the experience was not without a few minor glitches, overall the experience was a good one and we will certainly consider Quick Electric for possible future work. The offer was for an upgrade to 200 AMP service. We had already gotten three price quotes from other contractors so we had a baseline understanding of the costs and work that would be needed. The Angie's List offer was at the lower end of the quotes we had received, and we decided to try Quick Electric because of the Angie's List referral. We handled the coordination between PG&E, the City of Oakland and Quick Electric. We also handled obtaining the permit. We had a walkthrough with Nicolas and his staff at Quick Electric about a month before the work started, and at that time we pointed out certain areas of concern, since our house was built in 1915s, still had knob-and-tube, and had an older fuse box located rather close to our gas meter. During the initial walkthrough, Quick Electric assured us that there would be no problems with upgrading only the main service panel. The process of coordinating the upgrade request between PG&E, Quick Electric and the City of Oakland (for the inspection) was a bit time consuming but ultimately straightforward. The only surprise in the coordination and scheduling of the upgrade was when Nicolas at Quick Electric informed us that they were expecting to be able to do the upgrade within one day, and that we should schedule with PG&E a disconnect early in the morning, a reconnect mid-afternoon, and a city inspection as late in the day as possible. The job coordinator at PG&E was surprised at this request, since it did not leave much room for potential problems, but Nicolas at Quick Electric assured us that they had done many of these types of upgrades for older homes and that they would absolutely not leave us overnight without power should something go wrong with the scheduling or inspection. On the day of the actual upgrade, things went very much as Quick Electric had explained would happen. Quick Electric had a cordial relationship with the PG&E crew that had arrived to handle the disconnect, so much so that Quick was able to build out the essential infrastructure (the new service panel, conduit and masthead) and have PG&E return to reconnect all in just a few hours. There was one issue that might have resulted in a less than satisfactory experience for us. Nicolas informed us that because of the geometry of our house, Quick Electric would be forced to drill into the exterior of the front of our house in a very conspicuous place in order to install the grounding cable. This would have resulted in a rather ugly cable jutting out of the front of our house. Nicolas said that it would not be possible to place the cable in a different location because it needed to be tied into the main water line. However after insisting that Nicolas and his crew show us that there were no other possibilities, on remeasuring they found that they could place the cable in a much better location that remained hidden from view. We felt that Nicolas was a bit too quick in his analysis, and that if we had not been there to question the placement of the grounding cable we would have been dissatisfied with the location that might have been chosen. We enjoyed dealing with Nicolas and his crew, and would recommend them to others.

We had the $49 Angie's Special for an electrical evaluation of our home.The two men that came to check out our home were very knowledgeable and helpful. And they came at 9:00am ON THE DOT. Punctuality is awesome!!We do have a 90 year old home, and we know it isn't in tip-top shape, but they gave us very practical feedback about safety upgrades. They didn't tell us to rewire the whole house or try to sell us unnecessary items.Best of all, they found an old (knob and tube powered) light that didn't have a junction box and it was so dangerous that it could have burned our house down with an errant spark. We taped the switches and pulled out the bulb so no one will use it. That alone made them worth their weight in gold.You can bet they will be the first ones we call for an estimate to make all the upgrades and repairs.Thanks!!!!!! -One happy customer

We needed some electrical work done before we are able to sell out home and my husband gave Quick Electric a call. Within a matter of hours they were at our home and getting the work done. Very polite, worked fast and were competitively priced. I would recommend this company.

They were prompt. Incredibly friendly. We were about to throw out a chandler, they said not to throw it away and they could fix it, which they did. They really go out of their way. They are the best.

Overall, the job went very well including the bidding and planning stages. To save some money I got the permit from the city. On the work day the crew, led by Razvan started early to minimize the time the tenants would be without power. As always with an old structure there were some worries along the way but things went well and Razvan passed inspection early. I found him to be dependable, hard working, fair, and honest.

When Nick showed up the power had been off in our office for 2 months. Nick put on his headlamp and went to work by starting at the electricl panel and work his way towards the office. He found the issue within an hour when another electrical company (who will remain nameless) was here for 3 hours and never figured out the problem. Thanks Nick!! We are so happy to have the power back on.

First of all, they were extremely patient with me due to a number of issues that caused my project to be delayed a couple of months. They checked in with me regularly, and even stopped by once to see if there was anything they could do to get a head start. When I was finally able and ready to have them start, they showed up promptly and finished the work in 2 1/2 days. This was impressive given some of the problems they ran into when trying to relocate some of the wiring. Because I was doing some of the work myself (stringing cable, wiring receptacles, installing recessed lighting), he even gave me some pointers and was very accommodating knowing I was trying to save money wherever I could. They were courteous, communicative, and professional. I am very happy with my experience with Quick Electric. When I'm ready to tackle the bathrooms, I'll give them a call!

They had everything they needed, as far as ladders, tools, etc. They went right to work, explained what they were doing, encountered some unexpected issues with the type of fan and the angle of my slanted ceiling, figured out a solution, and got the fan working. It took about two hours, because the remote I bought was supposed to come with a battery but didn't. They waited while I ran out and got one, so they could be sure it worked. It runs perfectly and I couldn't be happier!

The gave a recommendation, completed an assessment and confirmed the issue. We agreed on the price and they then came out to do the work. They were knowledgeable and on time. I trusted them in my home to do the work when I was not there. Everything turned out great.

I used this company last year to perform upgrade to 200 amps into our house, and that service went well and was finished on time. Based on that experience i called the company again this time to fix why GFI was tripping when we turned on the outisde lights to the garage. I was dealing with the senior owner of the company last year (Nick Sr), and this time around it was his son, which made all the difference. I do recommend using this company as long as you are dealing with Nick Sr. My experience: The price quote started at $150, and the individual started doing the job. In the middle of opening up the wires he increased the price to $200, and than again he increased it to $250 which was the final price. The work began in the evening, but was not finished because the workmen underestimated the time it would take to finish, so they left open junction box in the garage, although I did ask them to tape it up, which they did. However, the work was finished on time the next morning as it was promised. In short, if you are dealing with Nick Sr in terms of price and work to be performed I would use this company otherwise it is not worth going through the trouble of dealing with them.

Crew arrived before 8:30 daily & keep steadily.They were meticulous and high qualify work.They communicated frequently and willing made changes We requested but when done Roman indicated mat other work should be done which would mean redoing a great deal of the just completed work.Also did not take a way old fixtures and debris.
