Quick Electric Service

I set up an appointment for Quick Electric to come over and install a ceiling fan. They showed up a few minutes earlier than the scheduled time and went right to work. They realized my installation might be a little tricky with my vaulted ceiling but they got creative and made a 'tough' project look very easy. They were quick and my fan works great. We are very pleased with the service and the fan. I would definitively use quick electric again.

The ceiling fan in my living room was very wobbly and looked like it might fall on my head at any moment. I could not turn it on high without fear. I have had other handymen come in and try and fix it, but nothing worked so when this deal came up, I bought it and a new ceiling fan. When Nick arrived and looked at the problem, he said he could fix my current fan saving me the $140 I spent on my new fan. Nick tightened what needed to be tightened and promised me it would not fall on my head. It works fine now. I thank Nick for being honest and reliable and not just replacing the fan. I am a very happy consumer and will use Quick Electric again if the need arises.

Nick came by the house one week before Thanksgiving to install a ceiling fan we had purchased from Costco but had had it sitting in our garage for over one year not able to install it ourselves. I saw the coupon deal to install for $99 and I was MORE than happy to pay that price to get it out of the box and up on the ceiling. I called them on Monday of that week and he was out 3 days later in spite of it being a very busy time because of the coupon deal and being near the holiday - everybody wanted their fans up before Thanksgiving. He got it out of the box and completely installed lights working - only to find the fan motor did not function at all. He had to remove everything and agreed to come back on Saturday morning for a small additional payment (can't remember how much it was - less the $50 probably - but again was very happy to pay it to get the job done.) Nick came back promptly Saturday morning installed the new fan - made sure everything was in working order. Very personable, prompt and professional - I wish there was more he could do around the house.

A complete waste. Got a call from the vendor and told him I would like him to look at my brothers home that I am selling for him (I have a brokers license.) I was told that since I am not the owner of the house that they could not do any work for me. They did not offer to transfer the offer, get my brothers permission, or to give a refund. They did no further follow up. Nothing in their ad indicated you had to own the property. I assume they do the inspection so that they can get new clients and additional work. The subject property needs a new panel and possibly upgraded service. The home is a "nice Walnut Creek home" but is old and could use a lot of clean-up to the electrical system. I had hoped to get an initial inspection and suggestions for additional work. A bid for the suggested work would have been welcome and if reasonable probably would have provided them thousands of dollars worth of work.

It was a quick look at everything and it went fine.

Once we got our booking dates straight, he did an excellent job.

Quick Electric went through the whole house, testing outlets, looking over the electrical boxes, etc. They were very good about explaining everything to me. As expected, the system needed some updating. We scheduled the work for the next week. They showed me exactly what they were going to do. The final outcome was even better than I expected given experience with other contractors. I'm no electical expert, but the workmanship was impressive. Afterwards, if I hadn't known they were doing work I wouldn't have known they'd been there. Everything was cleaned up. There are more things I need to upgrade in my system; they were helpful in pointing these out and giving me a ballpark so I can plan ahead. No pressure to do anythng right away. I'd describe these folks as knowledgeable, very skilled, professional and really nice to do business with.

I like the fact that the guy observed that the electrical wiring in very old houses (1930s) was actually of a very heavy gauge and done properly--only the fuse/breaker box would need replacement. I suspect others would say you have to rewire everything because its old.

Nick contacted me just shortly after I purchased 2 certificates for ceiling fan installation to ascertain if I wanted to make an appointment, which I thought was very considerate taking into account the fact that often people complain that they are unable to redeem their certificates in a timely fashion. An appointment was made according to my availability and within a couple of weeks of purchasing the certificates. Nick and his crew were very punctual, arriving exactly at the scheduled time. They were professional, friendly, and respectful of my home. The fans were installed very quickly, and without complication. During his visit, Nick made a couple of suggestions regarding my electrical which I found very helpful. I would recommend Nick and his team wholeheartedly. It was a very positive experience.

They arrived on time both days and walked us through every phase of our electrical upgrade. These guys were informative, professional, great sense of humor and their work was flawless. We have already hired them to come back in January for some other upgrades we were so satisfied with their work. I highly recommned hiring these gentlemen for all your elctrical needs.

The fan was complicated and due to manufacture's issue had to be re- don. the guys did it without a complaint. The dis an electrical inspection and pointed out several problem areas that need to be fixed in my house. I was very satisfied with the amount of time they spent to explain the future need. I would recommend them highly.

Extremely well, but took longer than anticipated due to very shoddy original construction -- entire second floor of house was serviced by only 2 circuit breakers!!! Our house is 38 years old and I've come to think that the builder's electricians were drunk and the city code inspector was either paid-off or never bothered to show up to work. The QUICK people did an OUTSTANDING job in giving us a modern, safe and convenient electrical retrofit. They showed up on time and went above and beyond the call of duty in several areas, especially on our porch and outdoor wiring, where they had to crawl around under the house, under difficult conditions and tight quarters. I was quite surprised at how minimal the wall and ceiling cut-outs were, considering the amount of wiring and work they has to do. I will hire them again in the near future to re-wire my Parents' aging home and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. The men of QUICK ELECTRIC have true "old world" values.

sept/oct had some difficulty obtaining copper wire which slowed project a bit. Excellent team, super hardworking, yet could still crack jokes. Cleaned up thoroughly after each day. always solicitous and super polite. we missed, not the emptying of the entire house furnishings to a storage cube or the tangle of wires running down the halls, but the smiling faces at the front door in the morning. them

Nick and his partner arrived on time to replace our ceiling fan. They were efficient when completing the job. Kept the area very clean while working. They were very curtious and patiently tolerated my three-year-old's questions and my dogs barking from outside. Afterwards they completed a full home inspection and gave us their recommendations. We asked them to complete a change out on our breaker box for a very fair price right then. We will defininitly be using them in the future!

They were very knowledgable. They recommended all the things that should be done, like certain places that were missing grounding and outside outlets that needed covers. They also gave me an estimate on recessed lighting, etc. and even putting a large screen TV into the wall. All in all I would trust them to do the work well.

A smooth transaction at all levels. The work was beautifully installed, the team was courteous, professional and always on time.the actual completed total was much less than the original quote - which we already thought was extremely competitive.

Very basic inspection. Came with three guys which I thought was a bit excessive.

They were right on time and were did a great job of explaining everything to me. The had to install a ceiling fan box to hold the weight of the fan. It only took them an hour to do the whole job and the fan looks great. I would definitely use them again.

Nick and Dave came to my home on the exact time they said they would. They did a full inspection of the home and gave me a full report which is exactly what I was asking for. On top of that, they gave me some real great advice on things that need to be done in my home for the safety of me and my family. They were both very nice and easy to talk to. I felt very comfortable with them as we went thru all the electrical issues in my home. I would highly recommend Quick Electric to anyone that is looking for electrical needs. I purchased the deal pack - 49.95 for a $300 electrical system review. I got a call the next day - a Saturday - at 8:20 a.m.. After checking messages later in the day, I returned the call and explained that I didn't need the service for a couple of months but that I would call back. Well, 2 weeks ago, I called back to redeem my deal. I called three times, leaving messages twice and one time catching the owner on the phone (he was driving so he said he'd call me back). Still no call back. Certainly not confidence inspiring. I've decided to go with another electrician and now I need to figure out how to get my money back! Not so thrilled, Angie's list!

The inspection was thorough. We needed to do more homework before we moved on with our project.

Home was built in 1916 and has funny, as in odd, electrical happenings. The two men arrived, worked very quickly and gave me a detailed report of the minor things that were wrong, they threw in the labor of an outlet replacement (i supplied the new outlet) which took about 10 minutes for him to do. When I mentioned that I was considering a kitchen remodel and asked for ball park figures he told me he would charge $5,000 to $8,000 to put in 5 recessed lights and add two outlets and one switch. This seemed astronomically high and I doubt I would request an estimate from this company when I am ready to proceed even thought they definitely knew what they were doing.

Quality seemed good but didn't like how the price kept growing.

I puchased an Angie's List BigDeal for an "inspection." They came out and performed an inspection on a home I was considering purchasing. It was really an excuse for them to come in and give an estimate. I feel that $100 for a "BigDeal" is a total rip off- most electricians would come out and do an estimate for free, especially since the estimate was for over $7,000 of work. Thjs is as much a review of the Angie's List BigDeal I bought as it is of the contractor. I received zero value for my $100.
