Installer was prompt. courteous and professional. Did an excellent job installing the fan. My only issue, which I realized only after he left and I had paid) was the price. I purchased the $119 celing fan instalation special (value $132). Because he had to install a line from the fan to the electrical outlet (which was not included in the special), I knew I would have to pay more. He quoted me a whole job price of $350 less the $119 I had paid in advance. The price at the end was $400 less the the $119 (or $281), which I paid. I now question whether I was charged for the 90 minutes he took to got to Home Depot to get parts for the electrical connection. Also, I think the $132 value of the special should have been deducted in stead of the $119 special offer.

He did a good job but it was less work than what the deal.was worth. They were punctual, in constant communication, very helpful and did just a great job overall.

We have been using them for about 9 years and we always use Elcon Electric Inc for electrical work. They are priced very reasonably and they are very responsive. They come out straight away when you need them to.

They guy was very good. He spent about 45 minutes with me. He was very professional. I made an appointment with him to do the work but I saw a Big Deal that was a better deal. I will consider using him in the future.

The few times I?ve done business with Elcon the service provided was pretty good. They always arrived on time, they were fast, and they cleaned up after themselves before they left. On 12/5 I had an outdoor light fixture installed where there was no existing junction box. The electrician that completed the job on that day has worked on my home before, and as with my previous experiences, I?ve always found him to be a pretty personable guy. The only problem I had on that particular day was during the install he drilled a very large hole in the wrong place of my exterior wall that went straight through my bedroom drywall. Apparently, he wasn?t paying attention to the height of the other light fixtures that were already installed on my pool deck causing him to drill the hole too low. Luckily I intervened before he went further into the install. Unfortunately the repair of that mishap costed me $75.; at the time it really didn?t bother me too much because mistakes happen. And again, I?ve had such a good experience with Elcon in the past that I just blew it off. Now, before the electrician left on 12/5 I had him give me a quote for the next two jobs I needed done. The first quote, was to center an existing ceiling fan junction box between two of my canned lights, reinforce the new junction box from the attic, and install the new ceiling fan. The second quote was for creating a power source for a ceiling fan where there wasn?t one currently. The source was to be created, the new ceiling fan installed, and a switch was to be wired to the fan. For both jobs we discussed the process of the install, I was given the price, and I made sure that I repeated everything that was supposed to be done and he agreed. Now I have been remodeling homes for quite a few years now and in my experience you have to make sure your contractor understands what you want, you have to ask lots of questions, and get everything in writing. And in this case the latter is where the problem begins. Usually, contractors of all kinds these days won?t give you a verbal quote, they?ll just email you a proposal. Elcon, on the other hand, gives you a verbal quote on the spot and later sends you the same quote via email. When I got the two verbal quotes on 12/5 I expected to receive that same quote in writing via email within 24 hours or so. That didn?t happen, I didn?t receive the estimate until 12/15, and that was only because I called and asked for it. Low and behold after reading the estimate I was sent on 12/15 all of the sudden the details of the install and the price changed. According to the new estimate Elcon sent, I was being charged more money and the extra charge was for the install of a single ceiling fan. So I called Elcon immediately and I was told the manager would call the tech that I worked with on that day and I would be called back. Well, that didn?t happen either, their ?customer service manager? had such little respect for the situation that she just re-emailed the same estimate they had sent out before. They also added to the estimate that the higher price included the ?install of a standard ceiling fan?. I must tell you there is nothing ?standard? about the the ceiling fan in the first quote. This is why it needed to be re-enforced from the attic; the ceiling fan I choose is a monster in size and features. I even showed the electrician a picture of it and he said that it wouldn?t be a problem for him. So the point of them adding that little stipulation was ridiculous. After reading the estimate, I immediately called Elcon. I called them announced who I was and then asked to speak with Laurie (the customer service manager who emailed me). After waiting a few minutes someone picked up the phone and then hung up. So of course I called back again, and I was hung up on again. On the third attempt at calling them I spoke to a very nice woman named Mary, I had spoken to Mary before when I requested that they send me the initial estimate that was never sent out. Mary appeared to be very aware of what was going on regarding my estimate and she informed me that the manager chose not to revise the estimate. She further explained that the price would be even higher if I want the other fan installed. It would?ve been nice if the ?customer service manager? decided to exercise some customer service by speaking to me personally, but I guess that?s just asking too much. My belief is the electrician I worked with waited so long to send me an estimate he simply forgot the details of our conversation. Btw, before ending my call with Mary I was told that she would relay our conversation to Laurie, and that I would be called the following day. Well, it is now the day after that call and I have yet to hear from anyone from Elcon. Unfortunately, because of the way Elcon?s manager decided to handle this whole thing I?ve decided to never do business with them again. One of the true test of a good company is how the company responds when something goes wrong. When choosing a contractor integrity, honesty, and proper communication means everything to me. My advise to anyone thinking about using Elcon: The Elcon electricians I?ve worked with have been courteous and very personable. And the schedulers are some of the nicest people you?d ever want to talk to over the phone. Now putting all of that aside, be your own advocate and get EVERYTHING in writing while the electrician is in your home. Unfortunately, if you don?t protect yourself in this way the price and/or the scope of work may be very different when you finally get an estimate in writing, and you will have no recourse.

This is an awesome company. The customer service is fast and effective. Brenda is a super business person. Will call them if I ever need an electrician.

Laurie was super helpful and very quick to respond. Sent the company pictures of the panel and the exact breaker needing replacement ahead of service call. Brett (electrician arrived on time) but did not have the breaker with him, had to go to the supply store and get it?? he called back later on in the afternoon stating he had to order it. I haven't heard from Brett or the company even after placing a direct call to Brett's cell and an email to the company through Angie's List. Where it states I have to fill in approximate cost of service above they want a dollar amount, well it costs me a vacation day! Since I had to take the day off for what is turns out to be is nothing.

I needed the electric pipes raised quickly because it was holding up my remodeling. I am on a tight schedule to get it done. Jesus arrived right on time, assessed the job, and went right to work. I had purchased a two hour special and the job was done within that time frame. Jesus is very courteous and careful to clean up afterward. I highly recommend Elcon to anyone needing electrical work done well. I was so pleased with them that I am having Jesus return to do additional work for me that is not time sensitive.

The techs were great and price was reasonable when they were finished.

Everything went very smoothly. Jared Harmon the lead electrician on each project did an exceptional job. Very punctual and professional. We had some tricky situations with some of the projects and Jared was very helpful in finding the right solutions. Highly recommend for any electrical service needs. A+++++

They show up when you call them. If you call at 3 in the afternoon, they will show up. They are the best. I am using them now on my rental properties, because I had never known them until then.

First called moments before arriving couldn't find address per him , was told by receptionist that they would call with in reasonable early warning time frame. Second arrived and began work well past 9 am finished at 1120 wrote invoice out for 2.5 hours labor for 250 plus 78 dollars for supplies, unaware of previously purchased 200 for two hours for services plan. He even stayed as much. My impression was of a relatively mediocre professional operation. No gps location services, poor communication between tech/electrician and home base and trying to squeeze every penny out of the client, free safety inspection allegedly designed to make sure electrical system was " up to code " was in my opinion designed to sell products surge protectors and arc faults for example. The electrician was ok enough however again I think him telling me how many hours a job would take before starting it and taking his time doing it makes promotions like this not the greatest of deals. I would rather know how much to do a job than paying someone by the hour.

Elco has been terrific in meeting all of my electrical needs in an old house recently bought. Great to work with. Highly recommended
