AMI submitted their proposal with three different options as promised. We are deciding now which system to go with.

Working with AMI was a pleasure. They answered the phone promptly, guided me through the assessment, arrived on time the same day, called when the technician was en route, completed the work , reminded me to print the Angie's List discount coupon (saved 15%), and offered to clean up afterwards. This is definitely the company you want to work with. I am extremely pleased with AMI and this experience overall. I had taken over 5 quotes from other companies for the purchase and install. It was immediately clear that AMI stands out. They truly stand 100% behind their work and truly care for the best interests of their customer. They did NOT try to up-sell me, their quotes were competitive with the other companies (for lesser systems), and they kindly walked me through the entire process from start to finish. I appreciated the fact that they did NOT try to list out special "features" that were code requirements in the contract - as most of the competing bids did. The job was by no means easy. All bids said the handler space was too tight to work with - it was even clear to me that it would be a tough job. They nailed it. I cannot tell you enough how thorough they are in their work. When finished, they explained all of the complex details behind the system, thermostat and care in simple terms. The install ended with a question as to whether I was 100% satisfied. The answer is yes, and then some. Two and half months have gone by since the install, and everything is great! AMI went beyond my expectations to make me completely happy. I only wish I could find their approach to work and service in other service company areas.

The other positive reviews about this company are not exaggerations. We had one of our five units stop functioning during a very warm period. The company we had used in the past did not provide first rate service so we went to Angie's List to find another one locally. We called AMI in the morning and spoke with Toni (as another reviewer noted, personable and professional). She had a technician out that afternoon and the relatively minor problem was fixed immediately. During this service call (reasonably priced given the prompt and effective service), the technician mentioned that the coils on all of our units were beyond merely dirty ( we knew that, didn't trust the other company that had done earlier work, and were simply procrastinating finding another company). He offered to have someone from the home office contact me with an estimate. In a pleasant exchange with the company's representative, Dennis, we reached an agreement on cleaning all five units at a price that was fair based on the proposal of the earlier company. With input from Toni and Corey (who serves as a supervisor of field teams), we arranged a date for the service (originally estimated to take two days). Toni telephoned that morning to tell me her team was on the way. Three pleasant professionals, led by Adam, arrived promptly and immediately got to work. Although they were in and out of the house often, the team never disturbed me working at home for the day. Early on, Adam informed me that one of the units was on its last legs (he showed me that the compressor was wheezing and the coil was far more encrusted than the others). He advised that the unit could go at any time but could last a year or more (I also learned from Adam that the date on that compressor was three years earlier than all of the other units, all five supposedly new when installed!). He asked if I still wanted them to clean that coil (not doing so would reduce the fee); when I inquired, Adam said cleaning the coil might extend the life of the unit but there was a small chance the process could blow the unit (we went forward and the unit is still working!). I also raised an issue with Adam that had totally frustrated me. Out largest unit shut of almost daily and I had to turn to "off" on the thermostat, flip the circuit breakers, and reset to cool to bring it back online. Two technicians from the earlier company, on two expensive service visits, couldn't diagnoze the problem (but did teach me how to handstart the unit!). Adam diagnosed the problem immediately; at some point, a substitute for the OEM two-stage starter had been installed. Adam waited until the unit clicked off on its own to confirm his diagnosis. Then, with my approval, he had an OEM starter delivered and he installed it. The unit has worked perfectly for 48 hours (but Adam gave me his card and said to call if there are any problems. To close out a great story - Adam and his team completed the job in one day; Corey came by to check that I was satisfied with the work; and we signed up with AMI for a maintenance check-up twice a year plus delivery and installation of professional grade filters every two months (payable monthly or quarterly at a price I believe is quite fair). We couldn't be happier with the high quality, well priced professional service from a classy team, in the office and in the field. Well done, folks!

I chose AMI based on the great reviews on Angie's List, and I was well-served. Their professionalism was A+++. I feel they explained the situation adequately to warrant receiving a totally new unit, compressor, thermostat, etc., and now I am satisfied that I made the right choice and had the best possible technicians and company behind this work, It was a harrowing job for them, because they had to literally build from scratch a unit to fit my 20+ year old condo's utility closet, which contained a water heater on the bottom of a small closeted space. They did precise measurements, and were on top of their game. In addition, in spite of the heat and challenging job, they were all very nice, respectful, and made us feel comfortable with the process. What more can I say? They did a fantastic job, and I am very happy with the price. I would use them again, (hopefully I won't need to in the next few years), but, I would recommend them to anyone. I learned this is a family owned company and they should be very proud of the quality of their team, and their prices.

I walked in from work at 8:15pm, Friday night(and it's Labor Day Weekend!!) to find it 82 degrees in my condo. I ran to Angie's List and looked for someone with raving reviews and now I see why! Adam called me back in less than 5 minutes, was here in about 35-40 and cleared out the overflow drain of the A/C. Being one to let things "break" before I get it fixed I am definitely calling them soon just to take care of overdue normal maintenance. Absolutely GREAT!!!

I interviewed 2 other companies before deciding upon AMI. The experience with AMI exceeded my expectations from beginning to end. The owner worked with me to be sure I was getting the right system for my needs. My emails with follow-up questions were answered promptly. The installers showed up on time. They were professional, friendly, and respectful of my house - putting carpets down to protect the floors. They appeared totally competent. I wanted one of my old units to be taken a few miles away to someone who is going to use it, and AMI was happy to do that for me at no charge. The owner came back to the job repeatedly to QC the work. I am totally satisfied with both the product and the installation. Living in S. Florida, one gets jaded when it comes to expectations regarding service people correctly doing what they say they will do when they say they will do it. AMI is different. While they may not be the least expensive in the industry, the flawless execution of the installations was worth every penny.

They didn't charge us for the estimate. The estimate for the work was a little high. A gentleman had come to give the quote. He was a nice guy and spoke nicely and gave me a quote. I will not use them. The gentleman was here was very punctual and professional.

We recently moved into a new home and were shocked at how high our electricity bill was. We decided to have the home's AC unit inspected and some maintenance performed to ensure it was as efficient as it could be. I read the reviews of several A rated companies and decided to contact AMI. I left a message and received a return call first thing the next morning from Toni. She was very helpful and very informative. She was able to schedule an appointment for first thing the following morning. Corey came out between the indicted time (8:30 am - 9:00 am) and immediately went to work. I explained the problem we were having with the high bills and he took a look at both the outside unit and air handler in the garage. He was able to determine our outside unit was very dirty, full of leaves and our refrigerant was very low. He explained the costs associated with the cleaning and the refilling of the coolant. He did not try to sell me anything and was very knowledgeable. When I asked him for information on a new unit, he was able to provide me a quote right away. He didn't try to sell me a gargantuan, expensive monster. He was very honest about what unit was best for our home. He went further to say if we were planning on replacing the unit, he would not advise we spend any money maintaining the current unit. Big kudos for trying to help us save money. I decided to hold off on replacing the unit. He advised our current unit would still last us another 1-2 years. I was very happy that he did not try to sell me anything and was very honest. I would recommend AMI in the future. In a world full of shady companies, it's always refreshing to encounter an honest, hard working, reliable business.

They were prompt. They came out when they said they would come out. They were knowledgeable. They explained everything the estimate entails.

They were good in diagnosing the problem and advised that the system delivered was a defective one. They had the same replaced, from the factory. Their services seemed expensive, but they were very professional. They paid attention to my needs, though they were late and stayed back till they finished the job. I liked their services and will use the same in future.

Went very smooth, AMI new what the problem was. Very honest and professional.

The condesate drain line was cleared. And everything seems to be working fine. On about Wed the 20th the problem started again. I called to have the Tech come out again. Again Cory was able to fix the problem. And there was no charge for that repair. The Techs from this company are very professional and responsible. They clean up after them selves and are very pleasant to work with. I would call this company again if I have a problem again.

It was a service call and I paid $55. The technician that came out was very knowledgeable. He didn’t try to push any product. He spotted some issues that needed to be corrected. He serviced the unit well and he was very polite. He gave me a written assessment that was done. I was impressed. I was considering on having him install a new unit.

My experience with AMI was fantastic. I called at 8:00 am and he was here and gone by 9:15 am. He did a terrific job. I will use and recommend AMI Air to everyone. I was thrilled that they got here so fast because the temperature today is supposed to be 95 degrees! Thank you AMI.

AMI was prompt and professional. They discussed the work and the estimate with me then preformed the work completely as agreed.

AMI Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Company was really good. I no longer have an association with them. I changed to another company because I wanted to give business to an individual person. I wasn't unhappy with them but I changed them because I would prefer having one person come out instead of having different people come out every time. Someone from AMI Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Company has always come out quickly whenever I have called. Everyone at the company seemed to have a good attitude. They did good work. I would consider using them in the future if required.

Purchased a York HTS 15 SEER Stealth AC (2-Speed) Compressor and Variable Speed Air Handler System in June 2004. The Air Handler was replaced three times due to severe rusting, the last of which was installed August 2005. Shortly after initial install, the system was not maintaining temperature below 75 degrees and service was performed. Within 14 months, numerous problems began to occur and a variety of repairs were performed by a few different technicians. These included; Two (2) new PC/Control Boards, three (3) new Start Capacitors / Hard Start Assists, one (1) new Compressor and two (2) incidences of burnt or loose wires. In all fairness, it is important to note that the business was purchased by a new owner, Dennis Mullins I believe sometime in March or April of 2006. The original owner did take responsibility for what appeared to be problems associated with the installation or inherent to poor design and/or workmanship by the Manufacturer. Unfortunately, the new owner did not take any ownership and we were billed nearly $1000.00 for three separate service calls within 16 days, to resolve the same problem. I wrote a letter to the new owner in response to a billing Statement we received, indicating over 90 days past due on three individual invoices that we never received. Further payment for these charges was not pursued. Subsequently, we replaced yet another Compressor and have now installed a completely new system, with a new service company. The York system lasted less then 6-1/2 years with nothing but problems.

Always great service and follow through. We were lucky enough to find AMI 15 years ago when we last replaced our air conditioner. They had been servicing the unit for 15 years with excellent response and results, so we had no hesitation about using them for the current purchase. The recent installation was done efficiently and effectively. Everything was as promised. The owner Dennis came to the house for the proposal and was knowledgeable and thorough.

They were fabulous. I spent $100 with them. The price was reasonable. They were here in less than an hour which astounded me. The young man who came was so knowledgeable, so polite and so neat about his work. He explained things to me. He fixed a 22 year old problem with the drainage so I can't say enough good things about him. I will use this company again in the future.

Dennis, the owner of the firm, came out and assured me that a 3-ton unit would be fine. Other firms estimators tried to talk me into a larger unit. My house is 1600 square feet, and the Carrier Infinity works just fine. It is the top of the line air conditioner and you do get what you pay for. It has a SEER of 19 and I expect to save money on my electric bill. The unit runs quiet on the outside and I cannot hear the air handler, when the air handler blower turns on. I relied on Dennis' expertise, and he came thru in flying colors. I will also receive a $1500 rebate from the government, which doesn't hurt. He came out in a timely manner and removed the old unit and installed the new unit in one day. He gave me three different estimates for three different units at three different price points. You have to pay more for the higher SEER, but it should pay for itself in lower electric bills. A.M.I. did exactly what they said they would do at the price they quoted and I would use them again without hesitation.

Made promise to refit supply drops and then found these were built into ceiling. Had to call back to get a grill for intake, review why some work did not appear complete and get a duct sealed. Worker recoated plenum and coating melted - like wax - all over AC unit. By that time I had been out of the house for 3 days & was ready to get on with things & clean it myself. Results: All in all the air is VERY much better fresher, cooler AC unit runs much more quietly, efficiently & I can keep house very comfortable at 79. crew was very polite - tho a bit messy till I callled their attention to it (after 1st day pink fiberglass remnants all over front lawn) & I thought price was very reasonable. They are prompt and fair and I'd recommend them

First AMI rep said the A/C installation was incorrect. AMI determined the unit was overcharged. But he didn't make a connection to clearing unit drain - 2nd guy seemed more knowledgeable. 2nd visit was prompt and AMI had no charge for follow up visit - all in all AMI was what I hoped it would be - prompt, fair and interested in providing the service I paid them for.

The representative on the phone was polite and helpful. A repair technician came that same day in the time frame promised. The repair was completed in less than one hour. My A/C has been running great since then.

We dealt with a sales rep, Morty, who was very low key, knowledgeable, and quite helpful. Work commenced when they said it would and was completed within the time frame they established. There was a crew of 3 installing the duct work over two days (I really felt sorry for them crawling around our ''attic'' area in September heat). They were extremely courteous, polite, and cleaned up after themselves each day they were here. Dennis, the owner, came by to make sure that everything was going as planned and asked if we had any questions. He wanted to make sure that we were totally satisfied with the quality of their work. They came back to make sure that everything was working well and set up the final inspection to close out our work permit. This business is a real ''class act'', and I couldn't be more happy with their product and work ethic.
