AMI Air Conditioning

About a year ago purchased new ac/air handler from AMI Put handler in a position that I now have to remove the door to check the air filter. Purchase price was factor in purchase. However, since most all the parts are not covered by warranty and those covered cost hundreds of dollars labor or service charge, the cost of the ac has increased the cost tremendously. Service cost and labor are unbelieveable. My prev ious ac/handler lasted 15 years, with no annual clean up or tune, before I had to have it serviced. I recently sold the home and although the warrenty was sold to me as "transferable", they will transfer the warrenty BUT THE CUT THE LENGTH OF IT IN HALF, FROM 10 YEARS TO 5 YEARS TO THE NEW OWNER? A very shady operation in my opinion. A new twist on the old "bait and switch" con game.

It went well, he performed the service as planned. I asked him to check out the other units but he did not had time at that moment. I would use them again.

Second time I have used AMI for air conditioning preventative services and I am delighted with the service I received.

It went better than I originally thought. This unit is very old (1982) and was leaking all over the place. The person was very professional and fixed everything without a huge bill. I will use this company when it's time for a new ac.

From the estimate to the scheduling to the installation they are a joy to work with. Everything went smoothly. The techs were extremely pleasant and never looked at the clock they worked until the job was finished. They even did all the paperwork for the rebates from FPL. Would noi hesitate to use them again or recommend them.

They weren't able to check the outside unit at this time, but they are coming back on friday to check everything else. There were some torrential rains preventing any outside maintenance. I appreciated that he even waited about 20 minutes to see if the rain would let up. He was able to inspect everything inside the house. I was very impressed with the service that I received.

I called this morning, got service this afternoon. Steve is the tech, he not only fix the unit downstairs I called for. He also caught the problem of up unit. Great job.

Corey, the technician was great. Phoned when was on the way here and arrived right on time. Had to make two trips, as while he was here the first time, it started storming with heavy rain. He had time to diagnose the problem the first trip, then made appointment to come back a few days later to add the refrigerant and finish the job. Again, arrived right on time and the company did not even charge me for the second service call. Corey was professional and explained everything going on in detail. Also, the office staff upon calling for an appointment was friendly and helpful. I am very pleased and happy that I called A.M.I. Air Conditioning. It was a pleasure doing business with them and refreshing to find a company that seems to be honest and caring. Will call them again when need anything else.

They were a bit swamped when I called to schedule an appointment. They were however able to get someone out to me the very next day. Adam (technician) arrived on time. Very professional, very friendly. Diagnosed and determined it was an issue with the motor module, not the motor itself (which a technician from another company diagnosed incorrectly). Initially said they "might" be able to come back with the part tomorrow, but turned out they had a full booking the next day. Rescheduled for Friday, and asked that they come earlier than scheduled, which they were able to do. Adam came for the followup and was in and out within 20 minutes. Quick, professional, and the price was right. Adam is a rock star, and I would use this company again just based on my experience with Adam.

Provider was responsive , polite.on time and explained and showed me the problem before he told me cost of repair and began work.

The A/C stopped working about 4 days after the semi annual service. They came right out and found the problem to be a circuit breaker. They replaced it and now the A/C is working great.

Technician answered all questions. Very professional. Job done in a timely manner. The cost of service was a special they were offering.

I made the purchase, called to schedule, and the technician, Steve, was on the phone about an 1.5 hour later saying he was on his way. He got directly to the problem, and explained to me what was going on. Something about a flux-capacitor ... I dunno ... I'm not back to the future, but I AM chillin' in my living room, now! ;) Great experience!

AMI arrived on time. Good communication. Diagnosed my problem fast (weak capacitor). Repaired my unit within 30 minutes. Along with suggestions for my unit in the future. Price was good. Service was great. Steve was professional. AC is blowing cool once again. Thanks. I'll recommend them for future AC services.

h other providersAir conditioner broke suddenly. After call to AMI, they arrived exactly in 20 minutes, diagnosed the problem (broken capacitor) and fixed it 30 min later. The greatest service ever!

Appointment was made for the following week. AMI was very busy and the system was cooling the house so it was not an emergency. The morning of the scheduled appointment I received a call to see if the technician could come earlier due to a cancellation. I agreed and the technician arrived shortly after. He proceeded to inspect the system and run some tests but I have a system that is very technical and the service person needed information about settings specific for this system. The information was not available to him but this was a very unusual situation that had nothing to do with the technician or AMI. The technician spent time investigating the problem and tried to resolve it but unfortunately could not solve the problem. AMI did what they could to assist the customer and ended up not charging for the service call as a courtesy. If I had a different system I would definitely call AMI to provide service. Professional courtesy to the max and a pleasant experience from start to finish. Rarely found these days. Thank you AMI!

I called around lunch time to make a service call & was told that they weren't sure if they were going to be able to get to me that same day as it was a pretty booked up Monday, but that they would try. I was pleasantly surprised when I received a call later that afternoon saying they were only 20 min away from house & would be there shortly. We had called because after replacing the batteries in our thermostat, our thermostat no longer triggered our A/C unit to turn on. It took him about an hour to diagnose the source of the problem (a wire would occasionally touch a copper pipe within the the unit & short itself out when running) and repair it. He then discovered that this had fried our thermostat & that it needed to be replaced. However, he didn't have any programmable thermostats with him, and the non-programmable thermostat he did have on hand was going to cost me about $100 (including the installation). I did a quick search on Home Depot's website only to discover that programmable thermostat's are only like $30 each, and decided to go buy a new thermostat & install it myself. He walked me through the entire process & made notes of which color wires to attach to which letter, which settings to watch out for when programming the thermostat so that I programmed it correctly for our system, and how to turn on the master switch outside. Overall, the technician was at my home for about 3 hours, but I was easily able to install the new thermostat myself using the notes he gave me & now our house is much cooler than before it had ever broken. I would definitely use them again, but I would not recommend having them install a new thermostat of theirs because the upcharge on the non-programmable thermostat was ludicrous.

Company was very fast. Came out the same day that I call them up on. Explain to them that my ac is leaking water and that the line was clogged up. They can out fixed it on the same day. Fast and reliable.

Reached out to AMI for service and was astonished that Toni took the time to walk me through a few self service fixes to ensure that the tech wouldn't come out to house and find the thermostat had dead batteries. This extra step wowed me, to think a provider who didn't want to make a quick buck on you was very refreshing. Corey arrived within the service window timeframe. He was courteous quick and professional. Work was done to my satisfaction and I would not hesitate in using AMI again or recommending to my friends.

A/c stopped working. I advised them that my wife was sick and needed a/c right away. They came, serviced and replaced the part for $181.

Air conditioning unit was in much need to service. Was able to locate provider via AL. They showed up on the appointment date; however, didn't come close to the time window. Needless to say the work was provided and I'm quite pleased with the results. If you schedule an appointment, get a morning/afternoon/evening time frame. They gave me a half hour window and didn't come close. Even though I'm busting balls about the timeliness I will use them again if/when needed.
