+ -1 moreThe delivery driver did not deliver the product until 9 pm which was 1 hour over the 8 pm time limit. When the mower arrived, there was rust all over the engine and steering column. There was dirt all over the mower, leaves and other debris on the blade panel, and scratches and scuff marks on various areas of the mower. When I contacted the corporate office to report the problem, I was directed to the store manager. When I spoke with the store manager, I was told "I don't see the problem with dirt on the mower. It's going to get dirt on it when you use it." When I brought up the concern that with the amount of rust I was concerned the equipment was left outside, the manager stated all of their riding lawn mowers are stored outside in the elements until they are shipped to the customer. My order was allowed to be returned, but it could not be replaced and it could not be guaranteed the next mower I purchased wouldn't be left outside (which store employees admit storing the mower outside ruins the quality and lifetime of the mower). This was the worst customer service and product care I have ever experienced from any company. I do not reccomend buying a riding lawn mower from home depot unless their handling of the product changes.

+ -1 moreCalled Home Depot contracing service for new water heater. They gave reaonable price for heater and installation. Also a date for installation was given. The contractor called before arriving to verify the work and asked what county and town I lived in to see if any permits were required. He arrived on time and installed the new water heater quickly and efficiently. He had all the parts, equipment and tools needed for the job. The job was like a new install. H replaced critical valves and safety vents. He stated that some installers like to reuse these parts to lessen thier costs. The installer answered all my questions about proper operation and maintenance of the water heater. He ensured he left the area of the install clean and removed all used parts from my home. The installer was good natured and very professional.
Description of Work: Home Depot contractors installed new 52 gallon electric water heater. 250.00 for install and 400.00 for water heater.

It was a special that Home Depot had where it's $449 for the installation for the whole house as long as you purchase the flooring that was at least $1.49 or more per square foot. They had to be a special order flooring so we were a little disappointed they told us it would take about 5 business days but it really took 10 business days to get the flooring in. Everything was exactly as we expected it. The product was like the sample that they gave us and the gentleman that came to install the floor work was very professional and did a great job.
Description of Work: Home Depot of Clermont installed laminate flooring throughout the whole house. They finished it last Saturday.

Description of Work: Home Depot contracts with Delta Mechanical which appears to be a nation wide company with a local office just about 11 miles away. The office here in the area was very responsive and helpful. The price was very low compared to four other local private company estimates. [Sears wanted $10,000.00, for example, for the same size unit {not a Trane} and similar options.] We did not have that kind of money. This company appears to be supported by Home Depot in terms of promising on the phone to force the local company to be responsible, if problems develop later, but I say "buyer beware." No one can force Home Depot to live up to any verbal agreement and the warranty on a unit is limited to what TRANE will actually do for you if the product develops an issue. TRANE has no listed contact information on its website, just for your FYI; in addition, my exploration of TRANE responses to customer complaint was scary in terms of their lack of follow through or helpfulness. All and all we did find the men that installed this unit polite, but not that knowledgable about their own contracts, company policy, understanding what was desired by the office, installation standards. He also claimed to have been "in fast food before this job." I say you should find someone or a company that has a fabulous reputation for these types of installations, but good luck, we never did find one in Ocala, Florida.

water heater repair
+ -1 moreHD advertises that if you buy a water heater by 2PM, it's installed that day. I bought on a Thursday evening over the phone after not being able to find anyone in the store who would stop doing personal business to talk. I requested install on Monday. The people on the phone were pleasant, knowledable efficient. I got a call on Friday from the contractor who actually does the work. Can't come on Monday. I was able to understand through a heavy foreign accent. Ok, change my whole schedule. On tuesday, I was reaching for the phone to say no one is here they call me to tell me I AM NOT AT MY HOUSE. HD gave them a 10 year old address! OK, gave address, this is strike 2 because the dude says we had Monday free all day! Installer comes, does job leave mess in my yard and trash in my garage. Strike 3. Why do people use pliers when a tube nut wrench is the correct and available tool? The only benefit to paying $200 for a "professional" install was getting the old unit carted off to the dump.

+ -1 moreTHE TEAM WAS VERY HELPFUL IN ASSISTING US TO BUILD OUR NEW VANITY CABINET. ONCE DELIVERED, THERE WERE SOME FLAWS IN THE WOOD ON THE FRONT DOORS. THEY TOOK THE PRODUCT BACK RIGHT AWAY AND ORDERED A NEW CUSTOM VANITY WITHOUT ANY HESITATION. THEY WERE VERY GOOD TO WORK WITH.
