We Move On Demand

We hired Move On Demand based upon their numerous reviews on Angie's List. In addition, I was referred to Move On Demand by a friend who recently used them for their move and were completely satisfied. One of the owners came to my house to give me an estimate. he went room by room to determine exactly what the move involved. He then gave us a written estimate based on his findings: which included the number of men on the job, the size of the truck, the approximate time frame to complete the move and the approximate cost of the move. This was the most professional estimate I received from all the movers I called. on the day of the move, the men showed up on time, clean uniforms and began wrapping the furniture. They were organized and skilled who took charge of the situation and accomplished the move in a timely and efficient manner. What more can I say " It was the BEST MOVE we ever experienced. These guys get my vote.

We were so pleased the first time, we had no problem hiring them again for our new home move. Just as before, Arthur came to our apartment to check things out. He told us that it might take a little longer than before because the new house had all of the bedrooms on the second floor. Either way it was no problem. Just as our previous move, the men showed up on time, uniformed and they all spoke English. All of these men were professional and I must say the supervisor of our move, Eduardo was amazing, he could not do enough for us. I don?t know where Move on Demand trains their men, but you can tell they are not your typical movers. This time we needed help with some expensive glassware. Move on Demand brought special boxes just for the glasswares. They packed it for us at NO Additional Cost. The estimated time on the estimate was right-on. No hidden charges! Our best move yet! Thank you again. I am not planing to move for a while, but there is no doubt that we will use Move on Demand again.

They should have at least the courtesy to call back. else do not bother to have an answering machine with the option for the caller to leave a message. Not a good first impression.

I needed local movers and went to Angies list to look at grades. I found this company and called with questions. The man was very evasive and void of answering questions. I work in a very busy law practice and have experience with customer service. This gentleman was poor on customer service and somewhat sarcastic. He said, well if you found us on Angies List then you know we are good. Would not give an average house move even with great details provided to him. Perhaps this company is getting a little too much puffery. Thank you Sandra

This local move was to downsize from a much larger condo. This created some difficulty in placing large furniture in a smaller apartment All of this was taken in stride. Even at the end , I had to rearrange the bedroom for better walking clearance. The movers took the extra work in stride without a single complaint and with smiles. It was awkward to rearrange the furniture, but I knew I couldn't do it myself. For them, they did it without complaint. They were careful of all of my furniture and the walls and corners and doors. We experienced no damage to anything. (They did a great job.) WOW! I've moved alot. I've never had better movers. I recommend them to anyone.

"Move on Demand" is a CLASS ACT! The moving men were total gentlemen in every respect; plus not one item was damaged. They went out of their way to make the move a wonderful experience with no stress whatsoever. They could not do enough to be helpful and extremely pleasant. Don't bother going to any other moving company because there is no mover that is better! And, the price was half of everyone else. I can't believe that they sent 5 men who worked from 8am to 5pm and all I paid was $1410. for the entire move, I don't know how they do it. I though that there would be some kind of trick or something I overlooked in the contract and I would be shocked at the end with an additional charge - it did not happen! " Move on Demand" kept their price at $1410 and delivered 110% quality service . I was so pleased at their excellent performance that I gave each man a $50 tip to say "Thank You".

Received a call from my email inquiry and set up an estimate but the guy rushed us through the phone call. I had to pause him to ask a few questions and told him I found him on Angieslist right away he said that I wouldn't qualify for their curent deal but at that point he did not even ask me how many bedrooms etc.. I asked why not and he said well maybe. He proceeded to tell me that it would cost me around $700!! This is for a local move, about 8 miles, a small one story home to another one story, we are packing our own things, and dont have a lot of furniture. When I told him that I received many other estimates at around $400 he proceeded to immediately wrap up the phone call as if it was a waste of his time. Thumbs down in my book, he didn't even take the time to ask for any details, just that it was a three bedroom home.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal special offer for this service. They did a great job and had a good price.

So far, the experience has been very positive. The owner did the estimate himself. He was very respectful and got the estimate turned around very quickly. We were comfortable with the fact that he was well rated and seemed to be very knowledgeable and decided to contract with him.

We received an estimate from Arthur from Move On Demand. He was very professional and very knowledgeable. The actual move was performed with four professional movers. The cost of the move was exactly in line with the written estimate we received from Arthur. This has been the best moving experience we have had to date.

Everything went well. The guys showed up on time; were very professional and were very careful with our belongings.

We like using Angie's List because we hate the drama of a poor customer service experience. For as wonderful as Angie's List can be for finding the best guys in town, there is a caveat. When local companies get "discovered" on Angie's List, they sometimes struggle to maintain their quality of service when demand spikes. We recently hired Move on Demand, and the experience started off great. Arthur was very prompt at coming out to give us a quote, and he was very amenable to fitting our move on his very busy schedule. However during the move, walls were damaged in the house we moved out of which had to fixed in pinch before the closing (meaning that repair was out of pocket for us). The movers also damaged a few pieces of furniture including breaking the glass on a mirror-finish dresser that went in our daughter's room. The movers made a note of the damage on the receipt and promised that Aurthur would take care of it. Once the movers left (with payment) the customer service from Move on Demand evaporated. Arthur did not return phone calls or follow-up on repairing the drawer as the movers had promised. After multiple attempts to contact him, he told my husband a very different story from the one he told me, but claimed he had contacted the furniture store and was waiting for confirmation on getting a new drawer ordered. After 3 weeks of waiting and hearing nothing from Move on Demand, I was at my limit with having to choose between looking at broken glass or a missing drawer in my daughter's room. I went to the store where I bought the dresser and was able to get a replacement drawer on the spot. (So much for the story I got that a drawer had to be ordered and that it would take some time.) I had to pay for the drawer myself. It may have cost me some money I had not expected to pay, but the experience has cost Move on Demand a customer. I COULD NOT in good conscious give Move on Demand a positive review. My advice to anyone who elects to hire Move on Demand is to carefully inspect everything before the movers leave. If anything is damaged in the move, I would STRONGLY advise holding back partial payment until the issues are FULLY remedied. It does not matter if the movers make a note of the damage on your receipt, once the company is paid, our experience has been that you are on your own. This was certainly not the experience we expected based on the reviews we read. Buyer beware.

Great. We were very pleased with the entire move. They owner came out to give us an estimate and gave a much better price than several other companies. On moving day, 4 men arrived and wrapped all of the furniture that needed wrapping. They were very pleasant the entire day. They then made two drop stops and also removed some furniture from one of the other locations. We have moved before and have never had such an easy moving experience.

A very stressful situation was made far less stressful after meeting with the owner of Move on Demand. The men that he sent to perform the work were very professional. They wrapped, loaded and moved my daughter's things within the time promised. The price was fair and the move was well executed.

This was the second time I've used this company and they did a great job again. Very prompt, and very quick. Some pieces of furniture required some extra effort to disassemble and get into rooms but they were patient, resourceful and got it done. Although I don't hope to move again soon, I would use them again.

Arthur came by our house with an estimate and it was accurate. We had a team of four to help us on relatively complicated logistics. They came through with flying colors. They were helpful, full of advice and took care of our things. I highly recommend them. Only small minus was that they were almost an hour late arriving to the job. A quick phone call to Arthur cleared up the issue and they arrived shortly afterwards. I would hire Move on Demand for any future moves.

They were uniformed, courteous, and on time, careful with the items and not to scratch the walkways and pathways of the condo common areas. Excellent and professional services. I thought the price a little high to take those 2 items a total of about a mile. But the service was great.

How did this go overall?? By far the best moving experience I have ever had. This is definitely not the cheapest mover on the block, but they are by far the best. These guys are total professionals, plus friendly, punctual, willing to do whatever to get the job done. Plus, they seem to have an eye for where furniture should be. So, the details. They (5 men, 2 trucks and a trailer)arrived, as quoted, on time with clean trucks and a full staff. They just got right to work. They wrapped EVERYTHING. Nothing dinged or bumped. They had a system for moving each piece from giant beds to small boxes. They are so efficient and so fast. It took 81/2 hours total. Everything was in place. They walked through with me for a final walk through. I could not be happier. I would write more,but not much to tell other than, you need to hire these guys if you want your furniture moved right.

Overall, the experience was great. Everyone was professional and there were no hidden fees.

Expensive and I got what I paid for. This is the best moving experience I have ever had. Nothing was damaged. The packer and the movers were extremely careful of doors, walls, and all of my belongings. Everyone from this company was professional, polite, and experienced. I cannot say enough good things about them.

I can not recommend Arthur and his team strongly enough. I am in the process of getting a divorce and needed to move very quickly and on very short notice. Arthur moved his schedule around and provided me with one of his top movers so that I felt secure. He not only showed professionalism but also compassion. I must have been the most unorganized move in the history of moves. I had nothing packed because of the situation. Arthur's team came in, helped me get organized and protected my belongings. They where packed quickly and professionally Nothing broke in the process. His men where professional and honest. They could have easily taken belongings and they did not. I give Arthur and his team a A+++++++. Look no further if you want a quality company.

We made the correct choice in selecting Move On Demand for our move. I initially spoke with Arthur who was very informative and did an excellent job setting expectations. I immediately felt that the estimate was straight forward, transparent and professional. The move itself was a great experience as well (as much as a move can be). The team was prompt, professional, courteous and hard working. They took great care in packing our items and went out of their way to assist us with a few special requests (e.g. stopping by my office to pick up a few things). We had a great experience with Move On Demand and I would highly recommend their services.

The owner, Arthur Yale, came out to my home and provided me the quote using a very professional and low pressure approach. He gave me a minimum and maximum price, estimating the job to be about 8-10 hours. Incidentally, I did get a quote from another highly rated Angie's List mover, who quoted a price to me that was $1,000 higher than Arthur's quote. I felt comfortable with Arthur and gave him the job on the spot. His moving crew was very professional and courteous. There was a project manager assigned to the job, so I had one person to go to with special instructions and he made sure his team followed my wishes. The crew was very pleasant and despite the work being very strenuous and time consuming, they seemed to enjoy their work and each other's company. All of that combined together made for a very pleasant experience. I would highly recommend Move On Demand. Finally, I have to highlight that when the job ran well past the estimated time frame (it took about 13 hours), Arthur honored his pricing quote to me without hesitation. Arthur is the type of guy that when he gives his word, you can count on it. Unfortunately, those people are few and far between in today's world. If you need to move, use Arthur and Move On Demand, you won't regret it.
