We Move On Demand

Arthur arrived on 3/27/13 and took pictures of everything that had to be moved. He is the manager/owner. He assured me that nothing would be broken or lost. Since I've had things broken on moves in the past I was skeptical. Arhur is friendly, and helpful, he showed me what they were going to do to protect the flat screenT.V. and other fragile items/furniture we had. Three men arrived on the day of the move, April 1, 2013. Hector, Rubin, and Omar, arrived on time and started moving items/furniture right away. They were friendly, and even helped us with getting clothes into the wardrobe boxes which were so very helpful! These men took such care in wrapping everything that nothing was broken or lost! They were very professional, no playing or joking around like other movers have done in the past which makes me annoyed and nervous. They took a lunch break and then came back to finish. I informed Arthur that his men did a fabulous job! They finished within the hrs. I was quoted and the moving charge was the same as I was quoted. Again, other companies were not this professional. We are moving again and I'm calling Arthur again!

This was not a relatively large move or far move but all in all the stuff had to go on the truck and off. The group is professional and friendly and clearly knows what they are doing. The did the same move for my girlfriend and her boss and all of us couldn't be more pleased. Great ANGIES pick overall I totally reccomend

Eduardo and his team were perfect! They arrived on time, worked fast and neatly and are very nice people! I have being recommending them to my friends ever since...

Hector and his crew arrived on time. We walked them through the townhouse to show them what needed to be done. They worked well as a team. Each had his assigned job, so while one was wrapping furniture downstairs, another was wrapping upstairs, and the other two were moving boxes out to the truck. I have to say, they worked hard and fast and did a fantastic job. It took them 5 hours to wrap everything and load it into the truck. We didn't realize there was so much. They stopped for lunch and showed up at our new house ready to go. They moved furniture where we needed it to be, sometimes a couple of moves. :-) They put all furniture back together that they disassembled from the other location. They do not have the means to dispose of the packing materials from unpacking the furniture. HOWEVER, they did clean it all up and place it in large trash bags. We were very happy with Move On Demand and would recommend them to anyone else.

It went great, given the weather was horrible as Coral Springs is in South Florida/West of Ft. Lauderdale and we had a tropical storm. The men were fantastic and were delayed because they were very careful not to get my furniture/possessions wet. We were delayed several hours from driving rain and they still got everything packed up dry and no damage whatsoever. They arrived right on time the next day at the new house to unload and set everything up, we were sleeping in our beds by the night of June 8, 2013. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs to move and in South Florida where you have to be so careful of who you hire, this is your company. Arthur the owner came for my estimate right on time and the price never waivered even though they had to get an extra trailer to carry our patio furniture. We were so happy with all of it and when you live 19 years in the same home, a move is traumatic within itself and Arthur and Move On Demand made it so much easier. We packed our dishes, personal items, pantry food and fridge and they did the rest!!!! Thank you Arthur and Move On Demand!!!!

8:00 a.m. First pick up punctual 8:45 a.m left to go 2nd. stop but stopped for breakfast which made them late for 3rd stop. Went to 3rd. stop to pick up another bedroom set to deliver to original adress. BUT when they delivered that set the movers said they had to leave for another job (appx 12:noon) and could not assemble the bed until later. Which turned out to be 5:30 P.M. It took 25 minutes to assemble my bed and for that I had to lose a whole day.Who ever heard of Movers leaving a job to go to their next job and leaving a customer in the lurch.

I contacted Move on Demand to have them pack up my belongings in my home. I was promised the world and the owner seemed like a nice guy. I was quoted $1600 minimum for the service. They told me they would wrap up my belongings including my antique furniture. They also gave me an estimate of the amount of storage space I would need. They assured me they have been doing this for years, and they have a certain way of doing things. Since they are the "professionals" I went with there recomendations. When they first started everything was going smoothly, but things began to go bad quickly. They were not able to finish the job in the estimated amount of time and needed an additional day to finish the job. In the beginning they wrapped things properly then as time became a factor they were told by the owner that certain things would not need to be wrapped including my 300 year old mirror and some very important furniture. Before they started putting things into the storage I specifically asked them put my office stuff and my clothes in the front of the storage so I could have access to them. Once they were done I gave the workers a good tip for all there hard work. Once I got my bill I was very suprised. Instead of the $1600 I was quoted originally I received a bill for $4600. I was charged for an additional day but did not feel that $3000 was a suitable charge. I went to the storage unit to get things ready as I was heading out of the country for a few months. When I opened my storages (originally told everything would fit into one storage but ended up needing two storage units), it was hard to believe that a moving company had packed my things as it looked as if a group of kids had performed the work. They stuffed my belongings in and showed no signs of caution or care in how they packed the storage unit. I contacted the owner about the charge and the poor service and the owner did nothing but talk badly to me. I was in cotnact with the Movers on Demand and had setup a time to meet with them but prior to the meeting I contacteed the licensing bureau to see what I could do. They informed me to not speak with the company and that I may consider litigation against the company. I have not been able to access my storage and need to take everything out and repack but am hesitant as I do not wish to make things worse. I am reaching out to Angie's List for help since I got the recommendation from them to use this company.

My wife and I were blown away by this team of 4 men who put full padded blanket wraps on every un-boxed item in the house...unheard of service...awesome !!!! I have never seen or experienced this level of care for protection offered in any previous move. I am beyond impressed with Move on Demand, and this Team/Crew. A Very Special Thanks to my wonderful Team/Crew: Hector, Teddy, Ruben, and Ever (Yes..."Ever" the Smallest but the Strongest) !!! I will never hesitate to recommend this company, and especially this Team/Crew to anyone in need of moving services !!!! A++++++

The guys who did the moving, the workers, were very nice and courteous.

Look no further, Move on Demand will take care of you, do their job well, and do it at a fair price. Dealing with Arthur was very pleasant. He showed up for the quote right on time and was very easy going and accommodating. Had to call him a couple of times to ask a few questions and he was always available and good to deal with. Move On Demand showed up on time on the day of the move and the men were professional, competent movers. They wrapped and protected everything very well and there were no issues. Packing and moving is stressful enough and I have to say that everything with Move on Demand went very smoothly. We will be moving again soon and we will definitely be calling Move on Demand. It was by far the best moving experience I've had. We packed ourselves, so right when the crew showed up in the morning they got to work moving boxes and furniture into a large truck and trailer. (We have A LOT of stuff.) Arthur had estimated 7 to 9 hours with four guys, but the crew foreman saw the pictures and said a fifth guy was necessary ? at no extra charge to me! They worked for about nine hours (8:30 am to shortly before 6 p.m., with a 45-minute lunch break) on a very hot, sunny day. They wrapped my important furniture in blankets and/or plastic wrap, and even collected some stray items (remote control, extension cords, etc.) that they found and brought them over in a basket. The crew foreman, Eduardo, spoke excellent English, but the English level of the rest of the crew varied from good to practically nonexistent. It wasn't a problem; we communicated in gestures as necessary, or Eduardo translated. They all were polite inside the house and even asked for permission before using the bathroom! The only tiny blot on the day was the spitting habit of one or two of the crew; I thought it was pretty disgusting for them to be spitting repeatedly on the driveway of my new home, but I was otherwise happy so I tried to ignore it. Overall, this was a great move, and I definitely recommend Move on Demand.

My move was from a ground floor 2 bedroom condo to a 1 bedroom apartment in an elevator building. I have moved more times in my life than I care to count, including inter-state and overseas and this moving company was by far, one of the best I have encountered. Arthur was professional, polite and expedient. His estimate was on target. His men were on time to the minute, got the job done in the time estimated, were professional, helpful and pleasant to be around. If one has to move with all the emotional and physical baggage that entails, these are the guys to contact!!! I would use them again in a heartbeat and have already recommended them to a friend. It is difficult to find reliable trustworthy vendors in this state and I feel blessed.....

Artie showed up on time for the estimate. We had intended to get three different estimates, but after receiving the Move On Demand estimate we decided to book the move with them based on the estimate and their ratings on Angie's List. They were to arrive at 8 am but called and said they were running late, and showed up at the time they said they would be there. We were a little nervous because the condo told us that all moving had to be completed by 4 pm. They sent 4 movers. They packed all the clothes in the closet in wardrobes so all we had to do was pack shoes and loose items from the closet. We packed the kitchen/buffet ourselves because their price was $600. i understand why it was $600 because it took us hours over several days to pack the kitchen/buffet. They moved shelving from the garage to the storage unit. They put all the garage items into a large cardboard bin on wheels. The truck they brought was large enough for all items and they packed everything in there neatly, putting the storage stuff in first and the condo stuff in last (since that was the first stop). We would definitely use Move On Demand again and have already recommended them to others. We feel that the price of the move was more than fair, and the entire moving crew were professional, careful and tireless. One refreshing aspect of this move was that payment was completed AFTER all of our items were removed from the truck. Nothing was "held hostage" while payment was pending. Thank you, Move On Demand!

The move was made very easy by this company. They arrived on time to pick up the household goods and delivered them at the time they said they would. All goods were in perfect condition including the china and glassware. They also held my goods for 2 extra nights on short notice when I didn't close on time. They were very polite and friendly and took care not to ding any walls. I would highly recommend this company if you are planning to move.

The quote was for $1245 for eight hours. After that, $140 an hour. From my last experience, I made it clear again. I will not put up with people just trying to run up the clock. I was assured that would not happen. Problem with this move was from a condo on the fourth floor with a small elevator. Some of my furniture would have to be carried down. Move day scheduled at 8 am. On time. Big truck. Four strong eager men. All packing supplies included. I watched in awe. What a great team. Took apart and wrapped everything that was included IN THE PRICE! Last time I was charged over $500 for packing tape!! It was 95 degrees outside and the men did not stop at all. I couldn't believe it. Expected another move from h*** but got the best move I have ever had. Fast, efficient, polite. They have everything going on. What a team!! We left them at the parking lot while they were still packing remainder of the items. Expected them in a couple of hours at the house. They showed within an hour. The house was not easy. Six stairs up from the sidewalk. Inside a tight circular staircase. I had anxiety over this move. It was the happiest day of my life!! They carefully brought everything in and placed it where we wanted. The heat and humidity was relentless. Never stopped them. I gave them water bottles. I have never seen men move so fast. They never took a break! The move was completed by 1:30PM!!!!! Could you imagine. We were so happy! We gave each mover $100 tip and they each personally shook our hand and thanked us. This company is unbelievable. From the owner and workers,. I have told everyone about them. I highly recommend them. Applaud their efforts. I wish all companies can be so reliable, precise and just get the job done right! I swear by them!!! I highly recommend them and would definitely use them again. Trust me, no bs, THEY ROCK!!!

I can't write enough about the professionalism and quality service that was provided to me by Move On Demand. Arthur was prompt and accurate in his estimate when I first inquired about their service and Eduardo and his team did an excellent job of packing and executing the move. They were pleasant and helpful and a pleasure to work with. When a minor mishap occured (this does, on a rare occasion, happen) Arthur could not have been more helpful and honorable in resolving the issue. I did not even have to call him...HE CALLED ME to follow through!!! I have already recommended this company to two of my friends and would not hesitate to recommend them on Angie's List.

WARNING, WARNING, WARNING!!!!!! On May 10th I moved to a new home with a recommendation from ANGIE'S LIST. I used MOVE ON DEMAND for the packing and moving, and overnight storage. The packing days were chaotic to say the least with workers , boxes, and paper all over the house. there was considerable difficulty because the majority of the packers did not speak English. Trying to speak to any of them was a task because I had to find the one "supervisor" , Eduardo, the only one who spoke English. If all went as well as I first thought, I could have overlooked the chaos and broken items as part of the "moving experience". But, s I would later find out, I chose the wrong company, (MOVE ON DEMAND)to pack and move my belongings because of ANGIE'S LIST. In the following weeks I would find a considerable amount of poorly packed and broken items. Kitchen drawers just dumped upside down in a box with no regard for packing heavy items on top of fragile breakable items. But the biggest insult was ALL of the liquor from my bar is missing, my Bose IPhone speaker $399.00 system, also missing, and to top things off, a museum quality glass from a valuable seriograph, smashed to pieces. With the help of a friend we went through all the remaining boxes in search of the missing items (there were more than the above metioned) and now, weeks later, I can say without a doubt the items NEVER arrived and are presumed STOLEN. They did not number or even properly label and itemize the boxes, so a box count was impossible. AND no itemized LIST. I contacted "ARTHUR" from MOVE ON DEMAND, who told me there was nothing he could do until I spoke with Eduardo, the supervisor, who would call me. As expected, that call NEVER came so I called "ARTHUR" again, the owner of MOVE ON DEMAND. Previously when I called him he would pick up or I would get his voice mail. Now when I call, my calls are routed to the fax machine. Now, I understand why "ARTHUR" stood over me just after the move to make sure that I wrote a nice comment on ANGIE'S LIST. The simple truth is you will not find know the truth about a company you hire until weeks after the move and all the boxes have been accounted for and unpacked. I STRONGLY suggest NOT hiring MOVE ON DEMAND. This has proven to be a very costly mistake. I also intend to contact the Better Business Bureau, and pursue my losses in court. I will also tell everyone I know, to help them not go thru the terrible experience I have had with MOVE ON DEMAND. Let us see if "ARTHUR" from MOVE ON DEMAND will try to resolve this matter........ How much do you want to bet????

First, from the beginning with my first call to Arthur at Move On Demand I knew I was in good hands. He came to my house and storage unit to see what needed to be moved and took pictures of what was going on the truck. He quoted me a price that I felt was very fair. He also showed me his insurance certificate, licenses, etc...He came prepared. When I had to change my move date, he worked with me...then a few days before the move he called to confim they would be there early, between 8-8:30A and there they were bright and early and ready to work. They worked tirelessly, non-stop wrapping each piece of furniture carefully to make sure nothing would be damaged. My husband and I were very impressed at the detail and speed they worked. These guys were wonderful! The job took a few hours longer than we thought, but we were prepared and knew exactly what each additional hour would cost us. I would reocmmened them to anyone who needs to move and would like to take the stress out of the day! Thank you Arthur and thank you to your team of hard workers!!!

Arthur came to our home to provide an in person estimate which was right on the money so to speak. He was very professional. Obviously does moving down to a science. Went very well overall. Four men were scheduled to show up, but only three arrived. Arthur made a rate/price change to account for the unexpected. The three men arrived on time and worked efficiently, carefully, and had a great attitude. There was no damage to any of our belongings during the move. A+ service.

At first I was very skeptical because we have had much difficulty with movers in the past; eg price raising, tardiness, etc. Well, my skepticism was shattered after my extremely positive experience with Move on Demand. The owner 'Arthur' was courteous, flexible, professional, and always returned my calls promptly. There were several changes to the move date caused by the buyer, but Arthur was able to make changes to his schedule to accomodate this. No fuss, no pricing changes! His men showed up for the move precisely on time. They were personable, experienced, accommodating, and professional. They moved a considerable amount of large furniture, valuable artwork, china, etc. No damage at all was done to the house or belongings on the move out. The same men moved all into the new house with no fuss or damage whatsoever. Since then all has been unpacked and nothing was damaged, soiled or missing. I rarely write reviews, but Move on Demand is a special company that deserves a superlative review. Movers in general have a bad reputation for good reasons, but Move on Demand is in a class of its own. I highly recommend them and doubt very much if you would br disappointed.

They promised to arrive at a certain time, and did arrive on that time. They were very professional and courteous. They followed our instructions and we had a tremendous experience with them. They had a very reasonable price in my mind and I would highly recommend them to anyone moving in the Florida area. The owner was very nice as well.

Unprofessional. Guess he didn't realize I was an Angies list member. Avoid! Your response shows you didn't even read. I called you. You had to call back. You DID call back but initially just said "Movers". I said" which company" you said Move on Demand and then told me it was rude for ME to ask that because I had gotten other quotes so you were not going to do the move. I have no motivation to lie. It was absolutely YOU.

Quick sale of our Apartment gave us only 2 weeks to pack and move all of our belongings. Without knowing the exact closing date, we procrastinated and waited to call the movers. We called a mover whom we have used several times in the last few years, he was very hesitant to fit us in with such short notice but did manage to arrange a pick up on Wednesday, storage at his facility Wed.-Thurs.-Fri.-Sat-Sun and delivery to our new residence on Monday. Although this was not the ideal situation we booked it based on the fact that we felt we had no other options. 5 days before the move we received a proposal from this mover for anywhere between $7500-$9000 we were shocked being that we were moving within the same Zip Code, and felt we were being taken advantage of. Saturday night I did a Google search for last minute movers, without much luck I went To Angie's List and started my search with the Highest rated mover first-Move On Demand. I left Arthur a brief message and he responded immediately. He arranged to meet at our apt. the next morning, he came promptly, took a quick look, and asked what it was that we actually wanted. We said Ideally we would love to have our apt. emptied Thurs. morning and have it all delivered to our new place Friday afternoon. With his very pleasant manor and a smile Arthur said he would get the job done. He even gave us the option of a flat rate or by the man and hour, we chose the flat rate $3300,( I guessed this move should be around $3500.) which we felt was extremely reasonable based on the quantity of furnishings and the short notice. 5 men arrived Thurs. morning at 8:00am as promised. They were pleasant, professional, and all were very easy to communicate with. They bubble wrapped, boxed, taped, blanketed everything in sight. They brought everything down 9 floors and kept coming up for more. We also had several large pieces taken down via our terrace by a huge crane, the crane operator was impressed by how well these movers had secured everything for the craning down. Each man knew just what to do and each and everyone of the just kept pushing forward with no B.S.. Their expertise was obvious by the way they managed to get everything into their truck. They left our Apt. Thurs at 3:00pm , and told us that we would see the same crew Friday afternoon. Friday they arrived at our home at 1:00pm, as promised, they brought everything in and put it just where we wanted it, many boxes were marked MBR, LR, DEN etc. so they didn't need to ask where they go. They unpacked everything that they packed and NOTHING was broken or damaged, they wiped their feet on the way in and didn't make one mark on the newly painted walls, shampooed carpets or polished floors. These guys are great, I usually hesitate to recommend anyone but these guys are the exception!!!! Thank You Arthur and crew, you really came through for us??...

The name of the person is Art Yancy. The workers were very nice, efficient, responsive, hardworking and efficient. There were five men who came and they finished moving on their said time which was five hours. Their price is in line with everybody else. There were downfalls in the middle but we made it through like when there was a confusion on which address they were supposed to show up.

Spoke with Arthur to set up appointment and although he was not sure at the exact time they would be able to do the move we were scheduled for Thursday 5/30/2013 sometime in the early afternoon. This gave me time to still wrap & pack some of our items being moved. To my surprise the guys showed up at 10 am - a few hours earlier than I expected and I wasn't quite ready for them but they were so eager to just assist with the move they went right to work. Very delicate items were handled with the utmost care and the whole job was packed and moved into our new location in just over 3 hours ! Theatrics would HIGHLY recommend this company.
