We Move On Demand

First off I called and set up an appointment with the owner Arthur. He was such a pleasant man and photographed everything that was over sized or fragile. He gave me an estimate and I was quite happy. We scheduled for the day and they arrived promptly on time with 4 men. The men were gentlemen, very courteous and wrapped my things with great care!!!! They knew how to disassemble my furniture and reassemble when we arrived at my new home. They asked where to place everything. They also treated my fragile boxes very carefully. This was such a wonderful experience! You know how stressful this can be! I would highly recommend this company for any move.....

I?ve moved many times over the years, sometimes to across the country and sometimes across town, and Move on Demand was the best possible experience, head and shoulders above the rest. And by rest, I mean the largest national movers ? like Atlas and United Van Lines ? to small, local operations. Arthur, the owner, gave me an accurate estimate of the time and manpower needed to move all my stuff, gave me a reasonable price, and squeezed the move in on short notice. The deal was for two men to work for six hours, but Arthur sent a third man anyway to ensure the move was done within the estimate. Movers normally come in with a range of estimates, many artificially high and many artificially low, but, with add-ons, breakage, and the snail-like pace of many local movers who charge by the hour, I've often ended up paying a lot more than the estimate (one driver for a national van lines refused to load the truck because he felt the official estimate, and thus his cut, was too low). No such problems with Move on Demand. And I can?t say enough about the move itself. The three guys who moved everything were courteous, efficient, and knew how to move large, bulky items without banging into door jams and fragile goods without breaking them. It was clear they?d been trained and had not, as with many other movers, been plucked off the street that morning. Moreover, when they unloaded, they didn?t just stack all the boxes in the middle of the living room, they asked which room each one should be put in, and where exactly each piece of furniture should be placed. The proof of how good they were is that, although I?m a very cheap guy, I gave each a big tip. It goes without saying that I?ll use Move On Demand in the future.

I scheduled a few days in advance and was quoted $450 for 3 men for 3 hours to move all my furniture and belongings about 1.5 miles down the road. They wrapped all my furniture with padding and plastic and had to carry everything down 3 flights of stairs and then up 2 at the new location. They finished in exactly 3 hours and charged me exactly $450. No extra charges and nothing was damaged. The guys were very professional. I would definitely hire these guys again.

I was extremely disappointed in the service provided by Move on a Demand. I signed up for Angie's List to specifically find a reputable mover in the Ft Lauderdale area. Arthur gave us a quote and set up a moving date. The day of the move the movers were set to arrive at 8 am. At 7:45 am I received a phone call from Arthur stating that his guys were still finishing up a job from the previous day and would be AT LEAST 3 hours late to our house for our move. My husband and I began to move what we could handle on our own and wait. The movers did not show up until after 1 pm. They did send two extra men to try to get the job done but unfortunately these guys were not employees of the moving company, did not have any experience and should not have been moving our household goods. The movers were tired and ready for the day to be done so they barely wrapped our furniture and just put it on the truck. We have moved three times in the last 7 years and my furniture has never been this damaged. Multiple pieces of furniture were scratched and dented. The most frustrating part is that Arthur never checked in throughout the day or called to follow up after his crew was over 5 hours late to our move. I understand that this is their busy season but the customer service with this company was awful. I have had two friends and a neighbor ask if I would recommend this company for their upcoming moves and I cannot. Extremely disappointed with this experience.

I purchased this deal and when I inquired about scheduling service they were hesitant over the phone as if they didnt want to honor the deal. Stated they couldn't perform the service until July and because I needed the service on the date which the website told me was available I had to ask for a refund. I asked him how to get a refund and he stated he didnt know and to ask Angie's List then ended call abruptly.

When I called he confirmed that he had screwed up but only offered to do the move 2 days later. That would have been very costly and inconvenient for us but that's all he offered. He very reluctantly said that he MIGHT consider paying toward hotel costs.

I was contacted by the moving company in a timely manner and they told me that they were not able to do the job on the date I needed it done. I was happy with how quickly they responded to me regarding my Big Deal purchase.

We hired 4 movers to move from our condo to a single family house. Four movers were recommended as the condo was 3 stories. They showed up on time and moved fast. All of the furniture was wrapped and secured in 2 1/2 hours. They even took down the drapes that we hadn't gotten to pack. They didn't take a break but got right on the road and to the new place. Everything was moved unwrapped and reassembled quickly. They handled all of our breakables with care including the glass topped kitchen table. Would definitely hire them again.

Great job guys. Friendly, courteous and genuine. Took pride in the work they did. Great value.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was okay. I don't know if I would recommend them. They offered a discount through Angie's List. He quoted me a price and when I gave him the Angie's List discount, the price kind of went up to offset the discount. Everything was a big ordeal and they were difficult to work with. He came out to the residence and quoted and I told him I also had a storage unit. He said he didn't want to see it so I took some pictures and sent them to him. He quoted it and then his guys went there and complained and said it was more than they thought. It turned out to be a big ordeal. I paid additional money.

Six men arrived at 7:30, and I was out by noon. There was no damage to my furniture. I did all my own packing and broke three things, but that was my fault.

Well I will try to be as brief as I can for what was a complicated move. The story starts when I contracted to purchase a home with a closing date 5 months away. I thought that would give me plenty of time to sell my home. Surprisingly my home sold within 48 hours and the buyers needed a closing within one month. I found a furnished rental for the interim period but what about the contents of my home? That is where Move On Demand comes into the story. They helped locate a reliable safe climate-controlled storage facility. They packed and wrapped all the contents of my home and moved them into storage. Some of the outdoor items they moved to another location obligingly. Three months later everything was delivered to my permanent home. Now, I am not going to pretend that there weren't a few nicks on furniture - there were and they were very minor. I have never employed a mover who was as good as Move On Demand. It is obvious to me that all their employees take pride in their work and want deliver the very best service. One final note every fragile item they wrapped and boxed arrived in perfect condition.

Showed up on time. Started working immediately and were very professional. Have moved many times in the past 40 years and this move was by far the smoothest and most efficient. Would highly recommend this company.

Excellent! They wrapped up everything for me from my TV to my pictures to my paintings and everything moved in one piece! I booked it last minute so the fact that they could accommodate me was great. I used them a year ago (found them on Angie's List) and didn't even shop the rate or contact anyone else because when it comes to moving, it isn't about saving a dollar or two, it is about being moved in a certain time frame and having your stuff end up at your new place in the same condition it left your old place. Ironically the cost was the same as the year before and I didn't even have a coupon/Angie's deal, I think he just appreciated the repeat business. Arthur seems to be the guy handling everything. I was surprised he actually showed up during the move because he seems like the businessman running everything and making it flow smoothly but he actually showed up in person and introduced himself. With all the nightmares you hear about moving stories, go with service first. I cannot tell you the nightmares that I have had in the past. One last thing, he didn't charge me anything for the wrapping and extra boxes I needed. I packed almost all of my own stuff but I figured I would have some extra fees at the end but I guess they were included. I rarely post reviews but feel comfortable giving them an A across the board.

Do youself a favor, AVOID AT ALL COSTS and go with a reputible company, its always best to check other sources (not only angies lists). Did business with Arthur Yale and Move on Demand because he seemed like a nice guy (when he wanted my money). We got quoted a $350 so we decided to go with this company. At the end of the day it costs us $900 (yes, almost 3 times the price we were quoted at) and a broken 65" Smart TV (Value of around $1200). When I contacted Arthur about the TV he promised to call back and of course he never did. We paid $150 for extra insurance and when I mentioned this to Arthur in our initial phone call he said "what else can we break because my deductible is $1000", as soon as I heard this from him I know it was going to be a problem. I repeatedly called and emailed him for (after almost 10 days) him to pick up the phone and start yelling at me. It is so shameful to have the president of a company talk to you in a non-professional manner, hang up the phone numerous times and use curse words and insults at a customer. He used excuses like "your a liar", "what do you expect, you wanted a deal", "not my problem anymore", "ill think about it and call you back some day". The treatment that Arthur gave us when we was trying to "sell his service" was great but as soon as he had the money in his pocket the treatment that myself and my wife received was shameful. DO youself a favor, AVOID AT ALL COSTS and go with a reputible company,

Everything went very smoothly from the first contact, Arthur was very professional and gave me an accurate quote for the services. He went room by room through the house taking pictures of all of the furniture. Gave me an hourly price for the guys and for the truck and showed pictures of how the move would go. His guys showed up on time, and were very professional. I was told that the move would take 6 - 8 hours and it was completed in 7 hours including disassembly of the furniture and reassembly at the new house.

It went fabulous. They were on time, efficient, and personable. Just an overall wonderful move. No hitches at all.

The move was scheduled for 4-6 hours but went over through no fault of the mover....closing times were changed and our movers had to wait several hours for a key to get in our new home. They "hustled" and did everything they could to get us in our new home in a timely manner!

This is an incredible company, performed way above my expectations! Showed up right on time, 3 guys who were friendly and professional. There attention to detail was amazing, wrapping all of my furniture & I have some very large paintings, not a problem, wrapped them too & when we got to the new place not a scratch on anything! I found this company on Angie's list & they lived up to the reviews. I have used movers before & was always disappointed, not this time, these guys get 5 stars from me.

This was by far the easiest moving experience I've ever had. The company was punctual professional and worked every minute of the job. There's no hidden costs and the crew I had Pedro and his partner were great. I spoke to Arthur on the phone he made it simple and was a pleasure to do business with. It's a no brainer to use this company. FYI I prepared all of my property to make it an easy to load/unload for the crew so there is no time wasted.

Arthur is one of the best movers I've ever used - and I've used a lot of them. Communication was effortless. He was courteous, professional and punctual. His crew was very efficient and professional. Our move ended up requiring some flexibility on the day of the move - last minute change of plans - and these guys took care of it with no worries. I'm moving again in a few months and will use them for that move too. Highly recommend!

I had to move my mothers 2 bedroom apartment after she entered a nursing home. I did not have much time to complete the move, her apartment rented quickly. I found Move on Demand on the list and they had good reviews, so I rolled the dice. I called and spoke to Arthur after a minute I knew I made the right decision. He had me on the schedule which ended up being perfect timing. The first day was packing day. They showed up on time and were exceptionally professional. Second day was moving day, once again they were on time and professional. Even though there was only one elevator and two other moves going on at the same time they got it done. Delivery was flawless and nothing was broken. The estimate I received was accurate with no surprises! I really hate moving, but Move on Demand makes it easy. I highly recommend them!!

My moving heroes!!! Arthur came to my rescue after my previously contracted company fell through. I was able to schedule a move on the day that I needed to move without any trouble. Three men arrived slightly early so they could start at 8:30 on the dot. The pack up was quick and the drop off was orderly and fast. The movers were friendly and professional and navigated the two condos involved without any trouble. I would recommend them again and again! A thousand stars! A thousand thanks!

I have never had a mover this proffessional and excellent. They showed up exactly on time and went right to work. The lead and the workers were polite, proffesional and efficent. My bedroom Bed frame screwss were threaded and prevent the large bed from being seperated. Mosmovers would say they could"t move it. All 4 gentlemen did herucleon efforts to remove it in tact and did a seperate run to pick it up. I couldn"t have been more pleased with the Move!
