....it did not go well! As per the threats that were issued by Ms. Fagan and her husband, I am no longer allowed to contact her, so I have no other option but to retain an attorney in order to get back the items that rightfully belong to me.
UPDATE 11/1/11 : I see that Ms. Fagan has submitted a response to my complaint, which you can read below. She basically had the same response to a complaint I filed with the BBB....she continues to state that I just do not want to pay my bill. Actually that is far from true; I never told her I would not pay her; I simply asked for TIME to pay the very large bill and also possibly a settlement, given the multiple service issues. Ms. Fagan did agree to settle the bill for half the amount owed. As per her instructions, I went to the police station and waited, with her payment in hand, for her to show up with my things. After over 30 minutes and several calls from the officer, she failed to meet me as agreed and also ignored all the calls. To this day, she still has not returned my items. Keep in mind that one of these items is my son's only winter jacket....why would anyone punish an innocent child in this manner? She states that the issue will be resolved when i pay my bill...but the issue will actually be resolved only when she returns my items! I have already told her that I would gladly mail her a check upon receipt of my things.
As for the other things she mentions....I find it ironic that she uses the word "slanderous" to describe my valid, verifiable consumer complaint. SLANDER is the exact term for what she did to me by posting private details about my home and personal life, true and untrue, on the internet, as well as discussing my finances with others. Lastly, nothing I complained about was outside her "scope of work"...just go read her website for details on what she claims she will do! For example, when pet sitting I believe it is her responsibility to WATCH THE DOGS, and to let them outside to relieve themselves. I should not have come home to be greeted by the odor of dog urine in my house. The fact that she states this has nothing to do with her, should be all the indication you need that she does not take responsibility for her actions. So why should I pay the full price for a job that was not done properly?

"Why would you hire someone and keep them employed if you could not afford to pay for the services?? The only time I was ever paid ON TIME was when I stood there and waited for my check, otherwise there was a delay. As soon as the client pays the monies owed, the issue will be resolve. in fact, there were never any problems in almost 3 years of service until the client stopped paying the bill. That is why we were there for so long. I was told payment was in the mail. I foolishly trusted and the bill ammassed to $4000. I demanded payment and this is the result, slanderous, negative feedback. please pay monies owed for services rendered.there are accusations on this complaint that have nothing to do with me and are not in my scope of work, nor have they ever been. I am not sure why this client has decided to blame me for issues at her home. It is my impression she does not want to pay for the services already rendered. Kathryn Fagan-Owner/Operator"
