Catalytic converters are not cheap. They said since the metals were not similar or something, that they would have to replace it. It was there all day. What I did was I drove the car up there and then they drove me back home in another car. Then when it was ready which was around 5 o'clock, they brought a car to pick me back up so I could get my car. That was a nice thing plus they are close by. We use them all the time.

The radio I bought was poor quality, and didn't work as expected. This was no fault of Carriage Auto. I asked them if they installed it properly, and was told they noticed trouble with reception so checked it twice before closing the job. Since the unit did not work, I bought a different unit and asked them to install the new one--which they did at the time of my appointment. The radio works fantastic. Best of all, they charged no additional fee for the labor--even though they had no fault in the first one not working. These guys are honest and hard working.

I can't say enough nice things about this shop.  Since recently moving to the area and not knowing where to go for an honest evaluation of my car, I turned to Angie's List.  The people that work in this shop are so friendly, knowledgeable, and honest.  I dropped my car off with several issues and turns out all that it needed was oil.  They could have easily up sold me on God knows what services, but they didn't and for that, will continue to earn my business along with my friends and family.  They always thank you for your business, and are genuine when doing so.

After checking with several places who wouldn't do this type of work, I found out why when checking with Carriage Auto.
 There would be approximately 8 hours of labor involved.  The complete dash board along with all smaller parts would have to be removed before getting to the motor that controls the opening and closing of the heater.  I actually knew what the problem was
before going there and was happy that they didn't give me a run around.  After checking things out, they called to tell me to let me
know what the problem was, how long it would take and what the cost would be.  I wasn't only happy with the outcome of the job,
but; was pleased with the people that I dealt with through the entire process.  Oh!  If I wanted to, I could of made arrangements
for a payment plan.  I will use Carriage Auto for all my auto needs.

Great. They were really honest with me about some other work they could have done but didn't push on because they knew I wasn't keeping the vehicle much longer.   REALLY nice.   Will absolutely recommend them!

Kept me informed of everything going on.  Unfortunately, we had to deal with a certified VW supplier who was less than helpful.  Ed did a great job and found several options for me to choose from.  One VW dealer was $100 higher on the part!  This particular dealer was closer but Ed called and got the price down to match the dealer that was a bit further away.  The repair was a bit on the high side, but that is not Carriage's fault atl all. It was the price of the motor.  $378.

I was looking for a reputable shop to perform routine maintenance on my two cars. My brother uses this service provider and recommended them to me.  Initially, I went in and talked to Ed to see what they offered and if their mechanics were all ASE certified and they were.

They did all work on schedule based on my appointment and completed the work on time andbrought my car out promptly.
 
I engaged in conversation with Ed while I waited and watched and listened as he served other customers. I found his service and the shop to be very courteous and professional and will continue to use them for my vehicle maintenance needs. I would recommend tham to others as well.

They are very good. I have a BMW on warranty right now and every time I go to the BMW dealership, it would cost me $300 to $400. However, I have been astonished as to how much different it is when I go to Carriage Auto Service Center. They don't charge you if you don't need something and they only charge you for what you need. They are very good in terms of the pricing and they have been able to do everything that I needed to be done. It would be $50 instead of $300 or $400 which is amazing. During my last visit they asked me to wait until my next oil change to do some work related to the burning oil because it would cost a lot as they had to drain all the oil that they had put in a little before. They have been saving me money. The only thing that is hard is that I only have one car and they don't pick you up as they are a small scale of business. It is hard to arrange for them unlike in the big dealerships. They also don't allow you to leave the car and drop the keys in one of the drop off places as they are afraid that the car might get stolen. It is a little inconvenient because you have to have someone drop you off or you have to wait. However, they are good in terms of the pricing, products, reliability and timeliness. I have been using them for the past three years.
