We interviewed several architects and selected Bill Feeney because we liked some of his earlier bathroom projects. Bill listened carefully to what we had in mind and came rapidly with interesting preliminary proposals and a budget. The combination of the design, material and equipment selected have resulted in functional, neat and modern looking bathrooms and powder room. The general contractor, tile supplier, cabinet maker and countertop supplier selected were all used to work with Bill and had a close and constructive work relation with him. Because Bill's office is located only a few blocks from our house, he could visit the construction site whenever necessary. He and his team were highly responsive to our requests; their coordination effort was indeed commendable. The project was implemented within budget. It however suffered some delays because of an underestimate of the quantity of tiles needed for one bathroom and the inadequate fabrication of special tiles for the powder room (Bill obtained a refund from the tile supplier to compensate for the inconvenience caused by the construction delay). We spent about 15% of the total project cost for architect services. Altogether we had a very positive experience and would not hesitate recommending Bill Feeney for similar remodeling projects.

Bill and his staff have been terrific every step of the process. "Got" what we wanted, came back to us with creative and aesthetically pleasing drawings and brought lots of ideas, advice and opinions that made us consider how we actually "live" in our house. Extremely pleased!

The Feeney team is a well-oiled machine, offering creative ideas, timely drawings, and open communications. They are professional, detail-oriented, and fresh. I couldn't have asked for a better building experience.

He also helped us select finishes and dealt with the contractor and subs. He was creative, practical, great at advice on what to spend extra for and where to economize. Easy to work with.

Mr. Feeney was unresponsive, made one mistake after another on the plans -- and charged us by the hour to fix the mistakes. He failed to measure the house properly, which led to building complications. He would promise us revisions by a certain date, then miss the self-imposed deadline by several weeks. He is not responsive to client concerns, and by the end of the process, I felt as if I was working for him. He is extremely defensive and has no concept of client service. Worse, the work was incredibly sloppy - we ended up paying for him to fix one mistake after another. He is completely inattentive to detail . . . We had to ask over and over for him to include things that an architect should have routinely included in the drawings. In the end, he terminated the contract just as we started building, so we did not have an architect to oversee the construction. In my opinion, the height of unprofessionalism.

Not well or as expected. Mr. Feeney did not listen to what I wanted or the purpose of the drafts. As a result the charges were very high and of minimal value. I would not recommend him or his services.
