Description of Work: We bought a landscape plan via Angie's Big Deal. She came over and spent an hour talking through what we were looking for, what she thought we needed (in a helpful, positive way, pointing out issues and watercourse problems we were not aware of) and offering some initial suggestions. | She came back several weeks later and gave us the plan. The plan included detailed suggested plantings right down to the size ofthe plant (1 gal through 10 gal, depending on the situation), approaches to deal with the watercourse issues, stone and concrete steps and how to address erosion problems. She told us what to keep and what to remove. (She was pretty much right on target with what to remove.) | She easily spent an hour going through the plan in our kitchen and then walked outside. She missed one spot, but told us what to do in that locations. | In addition to an 11x17 detailed sketch with the names and # of each plant and location, she also gave us color photos of each of the suggested plants. This was particularly helpful. Previous landscape plans we have done years ago did not include this. | Her presentation was very helpful and informative. It was not a sales call and there was no pressure to hire her to do the work, although we fully expect that we will shortly ask her for pricing and bring her back to do a good chunk of it. She also pointed out that we didn't need to do all of it at once and some we could undoubtedly do ourselves, while others probably should be done by a professional. | All in all, we were very pleased with the effort, approach and recommendations. |

+ -1 moreInitially the provider appeared eager to acquire our business, although there were some scheduling challenges. We don't mind the scheduling issues as life often intervenes. But then the provider stated that she needed to send her foreman over to review our property and that we need not be home for his visit. She stated that she would be in contact about a week later as she was going on vacation. Unfortunately, we never received any follow-up. Last time we checked, we are the customer and shouldn't have to follow-up if you're trying to secure our business. This is a waste of our time and we will be seeking another provider that is more responsive.
Description of Work: Provider came to our house to review our drainage/grading as we have some water issues in the basement/storage areas.

Sareena (the owner) had completed designing our front and back yard last year and completed implement the back yard last year. Due to budget constrain we had to opt out the dry river bed proposed in the original design for our front yard. But Sareena came up with a low budget idea and implemented it with three kinds of Sedum to give the same effect - can't be more happier. The whole front yard looks amazing. Would definitely hire her again for our future landscape needs.

Tiger Lily and the company's owner, Sareena, just really stood apart for the other companies in terms of professionalism and also offered competitive pricing. Being first-time homeowners and moreover having quite specific ideas about the ultimate look of the project, working with us took quite a bit of patience. However, Sareena was a real trouper and worked with us relentlessly on the design and re-hauling of a completely neglected back patio into a wonderful living outdoor space that we use daily. The installation was completed on time and meticulously and, two years later, we continue to receive many compliments on the space. We have recently used the company again for pruning and a spring upkeep, and we are again very happy with the result. We would definitely recommend the company and plan on using them in the future. Thank you, Tiger Lily Landscapes and Sareena!

She diagnosed a drainage problem we had and returned for a second visit with her manager to come up with a solution, all just to provide us an estimate. I will definitely contact Tiger Lily again.

+ -1 moreWe are very happy with the work done by Tiger Lily. Our backyard was a real mess!! We wanted to transfer our backyard into a low maintenance space that we could enjoy. I spoke to several landscape compaines before selecting Tiger Lilly. Tiger Lilly was not the cheapest landscape company but what set them apart was Sareena (the owner). She listened to what we liked and presented several options to fit our budget. She maticulously worked with me on design and plant selection - with LOT of patience!! Sareena was the only one who went beyond just designing. The project was finished in mid December and the hardscape looks beautiful. Can't wait for Spring to see our backyard come to life. Sareena also has almost finished designing our front yard and can't wait to get that started this coming Spring. Stay tuned!!

+ -1 moreThe previous owners of my home had done an extensive job of landscaping the property including stacked stone walls and numerous plantings. After 4 years, I decided it was time for a refresh and redesign. I contacted Sareena in May to develop a design incorporating most of the existing elements of the yard while added a few new ones. I was attracted to Tiger Lily because of Sareen's portfolio of work, particularly in smaller yards like mine. The process was a little slow, but she developed a 3D model of the yard with the new plants. Sareena went over each of the plants explaining how they would look at different times of the year and how much they would grow over time. I agreed to the plan and had her crew come in and do the work. They were punctual and Sareena was able to answer any questions I had. At the last minute, I decided to add to remove an existing stacked stone wall in the front of my home and replace it with a permanent concrete wall faced with the stones from the previous wall. It was probably a little more than I wanted to spend, but it definitely worthwhile. I have received numerous compliments on the work from neighbors and people driving through the neighborhood.
Description of Work: Created a revised landscaping plan for my yard, planted several hundred new plants, replaced an existing stacked stone wall with a flagstone-faced concrete block wall.

+ 1 moreSareena the owner, came about 2 months prior to the work being done to talk about what I was looking for. She did a complete walk around the propety, took detailed notes and pictures. She listened to what I thought and made suggestions. We discussed a budget, cost and set up a preliminary date to begin. Sareena, emailed information prior to the start to ensure we both understood what was to be done and we were on the same page. The work was done on July 2, 2013. She came with a crew of 4 including a Project Manager. They dug, pulled, replanted, watered and cleaned up.. The project took half a day and all was great. An additional tree needed to be planted so they returned a few days later to plant it. Sareena and her team are prompt, profesional and personable who understood what needs to be done and how to accomplish the task. I was appreciative of additonal information she shared about my lawn. I am delighted with the final project and will follow up on the overall care insructions so I can maintain the style. I also wanted an interesting sense of design -- not the same exact plants I see on my walk to work every day and something with some personality! TigerLily provided all of the above. If you love plants and gardens and are looking to create a special space -- but can't quite put it together on your own -- you'll consider TigerLily a find indeed!

Her crew did a great job cleaning up my front and back yards, which were overgrown and neglected. They planted beautiful bushes, plants and flowers, all of which survived the following summer, fall and winter, and are now looking great. Sareena continued to be helpful after the job was completed, answering e-mails and stopping by to look at the plants and answer my questions.

+ -1 moreWe were thrilled with the work done by Tiger Lily. Sareena, the owner, met with me several times. She was very meticulous about finding out what kinds of plants we liked and our overall style. She was very careful in determining what plants would do well on our property. Her knowledge of plants is amazing. She really listened to me when I siad that I wanted the garden to be a little "unexpected". I have some very different and fabulous plants with great color, texture and foliage. Sareena provided us with a beautiful drawing of the beds which I refer to all the time. She oversaw all the installation, really positioning the plants perfectly. I love my gardens now. Since the 2010 project Tiger Lily has assisted me with a smaller project on a summer cottage and we are now working with them on a larger landscaping job for the front of our property.
Description of Work: Tiger Lily designed the layout of flower beds, designed a rock garden, and designed a small pebble and stone patio. Many existing plantings and trees were relocated and then hundreds of many new plants and trees were installed.
