Movers DC

This was a terrible experience. Three large men showed up about 20 minutes late for our appointment. They started to move my items. Then mid-way through moving my items out my old place they asked me to sign paperwork. Do not sign anything with this company unless you read the paperwork in great detail! At any rate, I initialed a few items and kept the process moving forward. They broke my bookshelf in the move. When we got to my new home they began placing my boxes wherever they wanted instead of the location I had identified on the boxes. Then one of the men told me they wanted payment before they moved the remaining large items off the truck. I understood his concern, but then he charged me $80 more that what we'd agreed. I told him he could not force me to pay and then he said they would not move the rest of my items off the truck until I paid. I threatened to call the police and then he said he didn't care. I called the company headquarters and they hung up the phone on me. I ended up paying the extra money just to get them away from me; I did not want them to ruin my first day in my new home. At any rate, once they began moving, they refused to take my sofa to the basement and left it upstairs and they left the rest of my boxes anywhere in my home. Don't use this company unless you want a nightmare on your hands; they're terrible!
