Fantastic. Jimmy is very responsive via text message, and his employees remember me and my family. They take time to explain their work and educate me on what they are doing. I know they'll do a good job, be fast, accommodate my schedule, and be a pleasure to deal with.

Tom provided the estimate and was very helpful in explaining the options to me. He followed-up and was above-and-beyond on the customer service. Jimmy (the owner) also took time to personally connect with me. That matters a lot. The company is an excellent combination of large enough to be reliable and around a long time... and small enough to know me personally as a customer. The installation went seamlessly and even finished a few hours ahead of schedule. The install team was very experienced, nice, and diligent in putting down protective covers and cleaning-up as they went. I highly recommend them!

I was immediately contacted to set up an appointment :). I was told I would receive a call to let me know a window for the technician to arrive. I never received that call :(. When I called back, Tom (Tony?) told me he put the incorrect time in his phone. He did then promptly appear and performed the work he promised. :) He performed minimal tasks to 'inspect' the boiler. I don't think any 'tuning' was done:(. Maybe I was expecting too much.

I spoke with the company twice and it turns out they don’t service the type of furnance I have. I have an 80 year old furnace so I need someone who is going to be more knowledgeable and specialize in the type I have. We just decided it wasn’t a good fit but they were responsive and professional.

We had been experiencing issues with our heat pump during colder weather where the unit was unable to keep the inside temperature at the thermostat set point (e.g., thermostat would be set to 70 degrees, but inside temperature would not get warmer than 64 degrees). I called Jimmy Gusky LLC after seeing positive reviews online (non-Angie's List reviews). Jimmy was very courteous and engaging when I called and worked with my schedule in sending a technician out the next day on a Saturday. The technician was very friendly and seemed competent enough. He diagnosed our issue as being a faulty heat pack. However, he was very reluctant to give me a quote before talking to Jimmy, saying that he has no control over the prices. Odd - you'd think a tech who has probably replaced dozens of heat packs in his day and written up receipts for doing so could at least give me a rough estimate (i.e., price range) based on his experience (but I can respect company policy). After calling Jimmy (I believe), the technician gave me a quote of $650 to replace the heat pack. This price included the $89 charge for the diagnostic visit and no Angie's List discount. My gut told me that this quote may be too high. I paid the $89 and told the tech I would get back to them if I wanted to proceed with the repair. I then did some online research and learned that heat packs for my unit can be obtained for a little less than $200. I also recalled that the tech told me that it would be a relatively quick job (no more than 1.5 hours). This furthered my suspicions that the quote may be a little high. Ultimately, I was able to get another company to replace our heat pack for about $200 less than what Jimmy Gusky LLC quoted ($250 less if you include the $50-Angie's List discount they gave us). Surely, everyone is entitled to charge what they want to charge for their work. So, this is certainly not a knock against Jimmy Gusky LLC. It is more a cautionary tale to shop around when it comes to getting work of this nature done, if possible. Doing so can save you a pretty penny. To that end, the only reason I am not inclined to call upon Jimmy Gusky LLC again is based on their prices. By the way, thank you, Jimmy Gusky LLC, for an accurate diagnosis.

I have used Jimmy Guskey LLC on a number of different projects, and for all of them I have been extremely satisfied. When I had a gas leak, they provided same day service. They installed venting for my dryer, hooked up the water pipes for a washing machine, and fixed broken hoses on my dishwasher. I have found their prices to be reasonable, and their flexibility with respect to scheduling has been impressive. They are my go to contractor for HVAC and Plumbing, and I would recommend them without hesitation or qualification to anyone in the DC Metro Area.

We ended up having a couple of issues, so we ended up not paying for the service that came to the agreement because it didn't work out the way we planned. They treated us okay and we came to the agreement again; so we were happy with the agreement that we came to. The services they performed weren't what we agreed to, so we decided to fix it ourselves. Overall, it was a good experience; but we were not happy with the work they performed.

They came in were professional, prompt, answered all my questions, and things went just fine with them. They cleaned up after themselves. They left everything in place and I had no problems with them.

I placed an online request to be contacted by company/contractor that could replace my attic fan. Within minutes of submitting the request, Jimmy Gusky called. He was pleasant and asked about the problem. I was happy to hear that he was available to stop by that afternoon. I planned my afternoon around this but unfortunately Mr. Gusky was a no-show. I was hoping he would call to re-schedule. However, he did not. Not even the following day. I understand 'stuff' happens, but I would have appreciated a follow-up call. Everyone's time is valuable. Based on this first impression, I will not consider Mr. Gusky for any future work. There are plenty of reliable contractors that I'm sure will be happy to do business.

Extremely professional service! Provider arrived on time to give the estimate and waited for me while I was held up in rush hour traffic. He inspected my furnace and completely explained the work that needed to be preformed. On the day the work was to be preformed, the crew arrived on-time (actually a few mins. early) and completed the work quickly. They tested the system and cleaned up the area so well, I would not have know they were there! It's been several months since the install and the system is working flawlessly. I have very high standards for service and Jimmy Gusky truly exceeded my expectations!
