I made the mistake of not scheduling the date at the time of purchase. I received an email saying they would contact me at a certain date. They did not. When I called I was told they would call me back. They did not. I called Angie's list who offered to provide a different provider. I decided to contact Gusky's again and they immediately scheduled an appointment. The technician seemed unaware of the details of the offer, so I provided him the list that appeared with the deal. He did not seem to read it. I can not be sure about some of the procedures, but I do know he did a thorough job of cleaning the furnace. However, he never cut off the electricity to the furnace and he definitely did not lubricate it or check the flue venting. He also erroneously informed me that my furnace did not use a filter.

The service was good but the toilets weren't good. The guy that came did a good job. They came out right after the purchase in the same week. No additional costs. The service was excellent. The product was not good. I think it was a good price.

They did a good job. They did not try to find anything wrong to up charge me and I appreciated that.

I paid $49 for an Angie's List Big Deal for Seasonal AC/Furnace Tuneup - over 2 months ago - and in spite of more than one attempt to reach them to schedule - I did not heard back from ANYONE - and the service had not been performed. | |Not happy either with the service provider or Angie's list. I was even sent an email by Angie's list to 'help' reach the provider and schedule - and nothing came of that either. | |I will not be buying any more 'Big Deals' - and will only pay for services that have actually been provided. (Note: this is the 3rd time this has happened, all different services, but all Big Deals gone sour.) UPDATE: On the same day I wrote this 'F' rating, I got a call from Jim Gusky to finally schedule. He apologized, saying he was overwhelmed with the responses and could not schedule them all. That is not a good idea to run a special if you can't manage it. When he did schedule, the service provider he sent did sent a text and call when he was on the way. he showed up 5 min before the end of the 2 hr window. While he did do the work as asked, he got very bogged down with one furnace which he tried to tell me was not working properly and might need expensive replacement parts, or even a brand new furnace! As we are new homeowners here of less than 4 mos, this was more bad news. Then he checked the model and fussed with it longer - and found it it was working just as it's designed to do. He was just not familiar with it. He also told me I should probably replace the attic unit with a new one and a heat pump, but after seeing the gas unit in the basement, he revised that too and said they were working fine. Very confusing and caused some anxiety. i'm glad the work was finally performed, but i would not use this provider again. And I really will not buy another Big Deal.

We struggled a little with the scheduling -- very minor point. Very professional and dig a great job. Would definitely use them again.

The person who replaced my furnace went beyond the scope of work within the contract that was agreed. He performed repairs and cleaned my HVAC system to make it more efficient and effective, this was done at no extra cost.

Technician did not arrive within the 3 hour time frame without notification of delay or possible rescheduling. I called provider one hour later, who in turn called me an hour after that, indicating they were backed-up, apologized and stated I would be the first appointment the next business day. I was really annoyed about wasting and waiting an entire afternoon, and agreed to have service as indicated the next day. Waited two hours from the appointed time, again without notification of delay and had to leave.

The service call was surprisingly quick and easy. Our old toilet was removed,and carried away. A new toilet was installed in just a few minutes. They looked at an issue with another toilet and fixed it in just a few minutes. There was an extra charge, but it was reasonable. Professional and friendly; I highly recommend them and will use them again.

This vendor was wonderful to deal with. They were professional and clean, and did an outstanding job.

It was very hot and I was desperate for Puron for my heat pump. The company that agreed to come didn't show up and I called Jimmy Gusky Heating and Air based on the Angie's List reviews. And they were right! The company came the next day and not only provided the needed Puron but provided me with great advice on my next steps.

Two representatives from Jimmy Gasky LLC arrived early, but didn't call en route, as I had requested. That wasn't a major issue. The fact that one worker was eating a pastry while checking out a toilet seemed odd, but it didn't affect his performance, just his professionalism. During the toilet inspection, I decided to replace the fill valve, as well, which added $25 to the bill. The Big Deal did include replacing the flapper, but not the fill valve. They cleaned the tank and their work area. While reviewing the bill, I requested specific warranty information. One worker retrieved the packaging for both parts from the truck and wrote the details on my receipt. At my request, the second worker double-checked the tank's water level, to ensure that it was correct. Throughout the process, they were both personable and knowledgeable.

The provider arrived on time, checked out the interior toilet tank and made a few adjustments. Although I had informed them in advance that I probably needed a new handle and gave the make, they arrived without a proper replacement Instead he installed a different make of handle that involved pushing it down almost 180 degrees to get a flush and necessitated pulling the handle back up to prevent constant running. They said it was the best they could do in a limited toilet tune up. .

On the day I wanted a repair, no one could come before it would have gotten too late, so we agreed that someone would come the next day around 10:15, and he did arrive near that time. After an initial inspection, I was told the I have the option of replacing the electrical board for $400.00 (about) or installing a new unit for $4,000.00(about), and if the replacement were done, it would last about 15 years. Since my unit was only 7 years old, by that reckoning it should last another 7 years,I chose to replace the electrical panel. The repairman said that he needed to buy a panel, and would return after 3:00 pm. This suited me fine because I had errands to run. Around 4:30, after no one showed up, I called to see what was going on. I was assured by the person answering the phone that someone would come. He said that he talked to the proprietor. It never occurred to me that I would still be waiting in the heat past 6:00 pm. Around, 6:30 I decided I had had enough. As it stands, I had to cancel my evening plans to wait for the repairman, yet he never came. I have to sleep at a friends house because it is just too hot to sleep at home. I cannot imagine how these people remain in business if they treat customers this way. It important to note that this is not just a bad repairman, but a fixed company policy to blow off the small business. I saw the other late reviews, but decided the one late review I saw was a fluke. But it is not. The proprietor himself is involved in this type of scheduling, and it is deliberate.

The owner is a nice guy and very friendly. The problem is that they will tell you they will be out to make a repair and don't show up. For one visit, I had to call and remind him twice to make sure he didn't forget. It is too bad they don't want my business as I have a 116 HVAC units in my building.

The office was very responsive and accomodating in scheduling the service appointment. The technician was friendly, informative and efficient. I couldn't be happier with the work!

Called over the weekend and they stated they would come on Monday as they would likely need parts. They did come Monday as promised and performed the work. They were at my house to fix my shower handle would wouldn't turn the water off. They were there about 20min to diagnose, left for almost 2 hours to go and get a part we could have easily purchased, and then came back and spent another 20min installing the cartridge. Luckily we all knew how to turn it off from behind the shower in the access panel. Price seemed a bit high considering the length of time they were there and my tenants reported the staff was a little "gruff." Maybe would use again in a pinch.

The Service was great. Technician was very informative. Gave me all my options. I felt confident in what the Service Provider had told me.

Very professional and reasonably priced. I will definitely hire them again. The serviceman was also kind enough to fix my outside faucet for me.

The service went well. I paid an additional fee to have them replace an igniter as well. One technician came out for the job. He was professional and friendly. I had no problem scheduling the service and I would recommend the company to others. They even called to confirm the appointment and before coming out.

Jimmy Gusky LLC has serviced two of our family owned homes in Bethesda within the past 9 months. On 5/30/14, they replaced a dead AC unit at one home on Shady Oak Ln. ,Bethesda. On 2/20/15, they replaced the old Furnace at another home, on Highboro Dr, Bethesda,MD, during severe winter freezing weather. Competency & Workmanship are excellent! Highly recommended!

Service technician was punctual and professional. He worked on the furnace for about 45 minutes cleaning and inspecting all elements.

He was efficient and patient. He also was willing to show my son how to repair/replace it in the future.

The toilet had to be replaced; the leak could not be prepared. Within 24 hours we had a new toilet and a new kitchen faucet. The price of materials ended up being slightly higher than budget but the technicians were professionals and did a very nice job. I would use this organization again.

Angie's List, please make some change to your website so that if I DO NOT want to leave a review, I can click a button so that I am NOT asked every single time I log on. It's driving me crazy. In this case, the company's rep came to the house and said this offer wouldn't work with they HVAC system we have. We were refunded. He said there was something which might work though, and that he would send me info about that. It never came. Anyhow, Angie's List, please allow me to NOT review if I chose not to.
