Jim is an honest and straightforward contractor that provided timely service for a great price. Jim and crew completed the work as scheduled. However, humid midsummer weather resulted in some 'bubbling' of the polyurethane finish. Jim did make a prompt, good faith effort to fix the affected areas after I notified him of the problem, but some noticeable imperfections remain.

Jim and his crew are a good value for the money. He was able to keep apointments, finished the work in the time he said he would and the job looks great.

Mr. Thompson was friendly, and very approachable. His work was efficient and affordable. My floors turned out excellent.

Oh, my goodness. These men were fabulous. We can't tell you how happy we are with our beautiful floors. They look better than new. James and his crew arrived on time every time they came. Service and product were outstanding. Mr. Thompson was a bit late to our initial meeting, but called to let me know. He provided a careful, thorough written estimate, he initiated the job quickly (a week later), and finished the job a day earlier than expected. Work was careful and thorough, the flloors look like new, and Mr. Thompson took time to share important information on how to keep them looking that way. Cost was exactly as estimated, and a bit less than two other contractors I consulted with. Highly recommended.

Overall excellent job on refinishing my hardwood floors. James replaced several badly stained areas in my livingroom and you can hardly tell. Very honest and concerned as well as extreamly easy to work with. Fair pricing and timely completion. Thanks James. I'll see you for my next project.

Did a good job quickly.

Jim did a great job and I am very happy with the way the floors came out. I will recommend him to anyone I know that needs there floors redone.

James was right on time did a wonderful job. I would hire him again and pass his name to many friends and family as a reliable source. My floors never looked so good!

Jim Thompson was "far and away" the most affordable contracter (both on this service site and from other companies we called for price quotes). At the time of this review, the economy is shaky and he had a full schedule when we set up our service. His crew showed up on time and when we came back, the floors looked great. We had some seriously worn floors from a combination of heavy use, two little girls running around in dress up shoes and us not doing a great job of maintaining the beautiful finish it had when we bought the house. I know Jim uses water-based sealants which also keeps costs down but may be a factor for you.

Did a great job and his price was good. I am going to use him again to install some hardwood floors!
